What a ride this story takes you on! I loved every dip, curve, and climb. I loved book one, Bloody Union, and this book even topped that, an incredible feat.

I enjoyed the lead characters so much, in particular Lissa, who had such amazing strength—both physically and mentally. She was super intelligent and thank goodness for that too, with the upbringing she experienced she needed something to cling to. Danny was a lot different to what I expected, in a good way. I felt the sensual power of Lissa enveloped him and even he received a shock. 😆 Together their chemistry was explosive and very sexy.

I also liked how the characters could be sure of something but then realize it might not be the way to go and we’re unafraid to go with the changes. Keegan, as a secondary character, gave a bit of light relief in this moderately dark book and I often found myself chuckling over his comments. I loved reconnecting with Makenna, Dante, and Romero again as well as meeting new characters. Boy, when Kenna and Lissa got together you had to expect that anything could happen! 😄

When the action and drama built to a crescendo I found myself literally on the edge of my seat, great stuff. I truly had many ‘edge of my seat’ experiences in this story.

I thoroughly recommend this book but if you haven’t read the first book in the Made series then do yourself a favor and read it first.

A mafia gang story, with violence. Although that isn't my cup of tea, the romantic story line and inter connecting plots were very good.

Would like more of that and less of the bloody stuff.

When I read Book 1, Bloody Union, I gave the author some leeway in my review. It wasn't the best story I had ever read, but it was very entertaining with enough plot to keep you guessing. It was also a good introduction to the Gallagher Family as the heads of the Irish Mafia. However, it's Unexpected Union that really knocks it out of the park. In terms of the flow, these two books are night and day from each other. Unexpected Union is so smooth, that you will reach the end before you even know it.

In Unexpected Union, Danny Gallagher gets the girl. He also gets the surprise pregnancy after a one-night stand. Forced to marry to save family relations, Danny isn't aware that his new wife may not be the same person he thinks she is. He just knows that he wants a real marriage, but can a real marriage survive secrets, lies, and mistruths? If you've read Bloody Union, the plots are very similar. It'll be very hard not to make comparisons between the two in the beginning. However, as the events starts to take shape, it deviates into multiple branches that are more shocking with each turn.

I knew that I would probably continue with the series after Bloody Union. I figured I'd give it one more shot to see if I was still interested. The lead in to book three has definitely peaked my curiosity. I have to know what's going to happen next!

Really enjoyed this second in series, which can be read as a stand-alone. Full on characters which ooze action and a dark gritty mafia storyline which has a soft underbelly which draws in the reader. This is not a series for the faint hearted, but if you like strong females and alpha males this book is for you.

Melissa and Danny's book was better that I expected. From the moment this book for started, I was hooked. From the family drama to the action, I couldn't put this book down. I can't wait to read more.

J'avais beaucoup aimé le 1er tome et celui-ci surpasse toutes mes attentes.

Melissa n'a pas eu une vie facile. Une mère droguée, un père absent jusqu'à ces 13 ans, une belle famille qui la dénigre. Mais elle a pu compter sur le soutien de ces deux demi frères. Melissa a fait de son passé une force. Elle ne veut pas montrer ses faiblesses. C'est une hackeuse professionnelle. Son travail est reconnu dans le monde de la mafia. On fait souvent appel à ses services. Et le temps d'un soir elle a voulu lâcher prise, en couchant avec Daniel.

Daniel doit toujours faire ses preuves dans le milieu de la mafia. Makenna lui a offert un territoire. Il ne doit décevoir personne. Sa famille part en lambeau. Il reste néamnoins proche de son père et de sa soeur Holly. Quant à sa mère, n'en parlons pas. Elle n'a rien d'une mère. Melissa est apparue tel un ange dans son club mais ce n'est pas un ange.

Il pensait que ce n'était que le coup d'un soir, mais lorsqu'il découvre qu'elle est enceinte, alors il se doit de faire les choses bien. Se marier.

Tous les deux vont apprendre à cohabiter ensemble, tous les deux vont devoir se faire confiance. Il veut tout connaître sur elle. Il veut qu'elle soit heureuse et elle souhaite un mariage différent de ce qu'elle a vu avec son père et sa mère. Ils vont avoir un enfant et Daniel doit parfois être là pour sa femme. Tous les deux n'ont pas eu un bon exemple sur le mariage alors pourquoi ne pas être heureux tout simplement en se disant tout, en ne faisant qu'un, en étant des partenaires.

Elle ne veut pas avouer ce qu'elle a traversé, car elle ne veut pas de sa pitié. Elle est forte, bien plus forte que tout le monde.

Au fil du roman, les sentiments vont naître et lorsque la vie de Danny est en danger, c'est elle qui va prendre les choses en main. Elle a trouvé sa moitié et personne ne touche à ce qui lui appartient. J'aime quand elle lui dit ce que la plupart des femmes vivent après un accouchement. Elle ne peut pas tout faire, Danny doit faire sa part car c'est le père. Il ne doit pas attendre qu'elle demande de l'aide. Ils ont un enfant ensemble, ils doivent se donner à 100%.

Ce tome 2 est explosif, Melissa est badass mais elle n'hésite pas à être là pour sa soeur. Malheureusement on ne peut pas sauver quelqu'un qui ne le veut pas. Elle tombera des nues lorsqu'elle découvrira des bribes de son passé. Danny va murir, le mariage lui réussit et il fera tout pour protéger sa femme des ombres du passé.

Si vous lisez en anglais, je vous recommande cette série. Si vous aimez le monde de la mafia, si vous aimez les femmes badass!!!! Alors foncez!!!!

Quant à moi, je vais attendre sagement le tome 3, Fragile Union sur Holly Gallagher et Romero Bianchi (Sortie le 24 juin 2021).

I’m really enjoying this series, the h in this book is totally different than the one in the first book, it is refreshing to have an author who makes the heroines personalities completely different in each book. There was plenty of action and a HOT hero!!

First off the second book in the Made series was amazing. Second, I am not spoiling the book for you. Lissa has just as many secrets as Kenna did and I loved watching them pop out. I am absolutely loving the strong female characters. So many times I feel like a strong female lead never truly gets the credit she is due. Ms Summers give her ladies all the respect they are due. It's so refreshing to see a woman do the rescuing. If you love strong ladies who don't hold back, then this is the book for you.

O relacionamento entre Danny e Lissa acontece de forma explosiva, a atração entre eles é instantânea, e o que deveria ser só uma noite de prazer, se tornou em um casamento quando Danny descobre a gravidez de Lissa.

Por mais que o casamento entre eles tenha sido por causa da gravidez, o relacionamento entre eles é ótimo e vai muito além da atração sexual, os sentimentos são mútuos entre eles, então isso não se torna um obstáculos.

Esse livro me fez sentir falta da ação, por mais que ela exista ainda foi algo que podia ter muito mais, principalmente comparado ao livro anterior. Esse livro já deixou alguns ganchos para o livro 3 e por mais que eu esteja com medo do próximo livro, ainda me deixou curiosa para conhecer mais da história de Holly & Romero.

Brooke Summers tem sido uma surpresa para mim nessa série, amo mocinhas fortes e até agora ela tem entregado isso com louvor, não vejo a hora de ler o livro 3 e me surpreender com ele.

Unexpected Union is the second book in Brooke Summers Made Series and to be honest I think I love it even more than I did Bloody Union (which was AMAZING!) While this book is a standalone, meaning you don’t have to read the first book to understand what’s going on in this one, I do recommend reading the first book as well. We meet (and fall in love with) Danny in the first book and get a glimpse of Melissa as well. The first book gives us all the World Building and introduces us to all the characters we see in Unexpected Union.
My expectations were high going into the book and Brooke did not disappoint! What I have learned is this: DO NOT UNDERESTIMATE THE WOMEN IN THIS SERIES! I think Kenna (from Bloody Union) has met her match with Issa. This girl is a beast! She has been through some of the hardest life situations and they have molded her into this incredible woman. She will not be a victim. Danny has seen the dark side of life and relationships as the head of the UK Gallaghers and doesn’t see love as an option for him. The Union between these two was merely supposed to be a means to an end. A one night stand that resulted in pregnancy was only supposed to be a marriage of convenience and a way to tie the Irish Mafia and the Harding Gang together to help keep the peace. The more time Danny and Issa spend together they realize how perfect they are for each other. They are such a great couple. We have twists and turns... secrets and betrayal... steam and love. It’s all the emotions and all of the things and it was a wild ride that I didn’t want to get off! I highly recommend this book, Brooke Summers has a way of breathing new life into the Mafia trope, and it’s a gripping experience!

Wow! Lissa and Danny’s story was just as exciting as previous book. These two characters are both badass. The chemistry between them was explosive. Then adding in the action and suspense, I couldn’t put this book down. I was on the edge of my seat from start to finish. Can’t wait to read more by this author.

I really enjoyed this book. A first read for me but this author. I loved LIs and how strong she was. Danny, although a mobster treats her right and takes care of her. This book also had me laughing out loud. THis book had it all drama, romance, serious chemistry and mafia goodness. Absoltely loved this read! Danny and Lis were off the charts!!!

Book 2 in the Made series was just as good. Melissa and Danny are perfect for each other. Equally matched in strength, dominance and killer instincts. I enjoyed their chemistry and their connection. I enjoyed all the other characters as well.

This is another great “mafia style” romance with a twist by this author, a strong female lead. Lissa and Danny have an instant attraction that leads to an unexpected surprise, a baby, but Danny is the head of the Gallagher family (Irish mafia) in the UK and Lissa is the daughter of one of enemies. What seems like an insurmountable difference is really nothing compared to the emotional and physical scars that helped to build Lissa’s walls that Danny has to overcome, however their strong connection (yes it starts with it being just physical) and strong personalities help bring them closer than ever as they face off against their true enemies. The heat and humor in this book is balanced by the “alphaness “ of both leads. This is book two in the series and the beginning may be a bit confusing if you have not read book one (although I do recommend it as it was also great) you soon become consumed by their story and everything starts to make sense as you learn a bit more of what previously happened. The supporting characters also leave you wanting more of their stories and I am anxiously awaiting book three. I do want to mention that there is a very serious subject matter that is the core to Lissa’s story that may be upsetting to some but I do recommend this story. 5 stars. This is the second book in "The Made Series" by Brooke Summers and I'm giving it 4.5 stars. Danny Gallager, head of the Gallager Family in the UK has a one stand with Melissa Harding, daughter of the head of the Gang of London. Forward six months, Danny runs into Melissa only to discover she is pregnant and had no intention of telling him. When he discloses the pregnancy to his family he's told to marry her in order to keep the peace between the two families. Melissa is very aware of who and what her future husband is, however Danny hasn't a clue who he's marrying and he is in for one surprise after another as secret after secret is revealed. This book has lots of surprises, twists and intregue. I've throughtly enjoyed reading these two books in the series.

Overall, this novel missed the mark for me. I felt that the plot should have been interesting given the story's summary, but the plot wasn't evenly paced nor smoothly put together (rather disjointed). Also, I wasn't keen on the main characters - found them to be very one dimensional and not very engaging.

This book, like the first, was AMAZING.
I seriously couldn't look away, and had to force myself to sleep when it got ridiculously late, or else I would of devoured this book in one sitting. I can tell just from the first two books that this will be an unmissable series.
Both characters and plot will have white knuckling your kindle from cover to cover.
Definitely recommend.

Well if you have read the amazing Bloody Union which is book 1 in The Made Men Series by this author then you will know who this is about!!! We get introduced to Danny and the events surrounding his and Lissa’s relationship(if you can even call it that) in that book. I have been not so patiently 😜 waiting for this release, and I am so excited it’s finally here.

Danny boy oh Danny boy, you sexy Irishman, I love him so much. Stepping up and doing the right thing. He is an amazing man all around!

Lissa this FMC. She is the perfect match for him. She has so many layers that I truly enjoyed peeling them back throughout this story. She may come off as the princess, but she is far from it. And let me just say Lissa and Makenna....... DREAM TEAM! They need their own book together seriously the trouble they would get into! They could rule the whole world!

Overall this whole book was so freaking amazing I loved every single second! I wasn’t ready for that ending I though I was going to have a heart attack!! And I love how all are leading ladies in these books are BAD A$$ I can’t get enough of their bloodthirsty ways.

I can’t believe you dropped that little bomb in the end now my mind in whirlwind of WHAT HAPPENED I need Romero and Holly’s book ASAP!

This series is fantastic, this is book two and is the story of Danny Gallagher and Melissa Mikhailov. If you are a lover of all things mafia/mob/bratva like myself you will absolutely love this series and the kickass, strong female characters which are unlike any typical female mafia character you have read.
Cannot wait for book three.
