Haruma Ichinose, 17, has been popular since he was born. So popular, in fact, that he figured no one could even come close...until he met Yuki Mogami. She's tall, cool, collected, and totally makes him crazy. He may just be in love...but can he deal with falling for someone even more dashing than himself?- Goodreads
In the beginning I wasn't sure if I would like this book. It seemed goofy for no reason. But it progressively got better. There isn't a whole of depth yet but volume 2 is going to be loaded with it.
Haruma is not your typical popular boy. He has a well crafted persona until he meets Yuki who I think unintentionally created a persona and now lives it 100%. Yuki is the popular person, I honestly think, Haruma wishes he can be.
I like the dynamic and I love the fact that the roles of Haruma and Yuki seem to be reversed.
The pace of the novel is great. It uses comedy to move along but the ending allows me to believe that comedy will not be the only thing moving the remaining series. This volume comes off as the reader getting to know and love the characters.
I'm looking forward to the read. Too bad I have to wait. Short review but this is a manga to read if you are looking for something cute and simple (so far).

It's a really sweet, fun, with a fuzzy and fluffy story.
Ichinose is the cool popular boy, "the prince" of his school until Mogami came along.
It is refreshing to have the tropes reversed. Having a girl with gentlemanly manners and a chivalrous nature that make everyone fall in love with her and a boy flustered and blushing, be it from frustration or something more.
Definitely recommend this manga for a light uplifting moment.

Ichinose was a prince of his school until Mogami came along. Though she is a girl, she has gentlemanly manners and a chivalrous nature that make everyone fall in love with her. And Ichinose is no exception. But he would never tell about his feelings because that would mean admitting defeat in a popularity contest.
I didn't have many expectations going in but I ended up really enjoying it. The tropes here are reversed. Here the guy is usually the one who is blushing and acting flustered and the heroine saves him from tripping and even carries him in her arms at one point. Idk, the way it was shown was really funny. And the blooming romance was hella cute. Due to the episodic nature of chapters it will be nice to dip in and out of this manga whenever I need a quick pick me up. A nice read, I would definitely recommend.
Thank you to Netgalley for a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

I was split on how to review this but it feels like a decent high school comedy so far and hilarious to see the playboy wannebe of the school suddenly lose his cool in front of a strong, confident female.

This is an adorable manga, with a couple I really liked. The art style is cute and well done, and the story is fluffy and enjoyable for the perfect romance fix.
I kept getting Monthly Girls’ Nozaki-kun vibes at how it played with the typical shojo tropes. The main couple reminded me of Kashima and Hori, with the height differences and dynamic, and they are my favourite couple from that manga, so that’s a big plus for me. I always find it refreshing to see different types of couples portrayed, and with a reversal of roles making this feel fresh and fun. It was adorable watching their bond and feelings grow for each other, and how earnest they were about them.
I do wished it wasn’t in an episodic nature. I feel like if it was in more of a typical story, I would’ve been more invested in their development as a couple, and not just seeing the wacky moments for comedy reasons. It’s not afraid to be meta and poke fun of their genre’s conventions, but sometimes I felt like it was trying too hard to emulate Nozaki-kun’s style.
I highly recommend this if you’re a fan of shojo, and in the mood for a cute couple.

This was SO cute! I'm so glad I was able to read this ARC and I very much enjoyed it! The main character, Ichinose was very cute and relatable as being a character with a crush. I also loved the way the manga had so many tropes involved. Definitely recommend it for those who want something light and fun to read. Only downside was that the plot is literally just the romance, very one tracked. I do believe that is more of a personal preference and do not fault the book for this.
