I was engrossed into this since page 1. Even though I did not read the first two books, I'm still able to 'catch up'. This fusion of human and dragon was ingenious, and very well developed story plot. But the author could possibly make the story plot about the fey realm to be clearer since I'm still a bit confused about 'purpose'. Do read this, you won't regret it.

I have received this ARC from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
Call of the Ryu Dragon is the third installment in The Serpentine Throne. I'm not sure what magic Susan is brewing because this was by far my favorite in the series. The first two book were okay but this one just gave me what the other two were missing.
The adventures and the character just keep getting better and better. At first, I thought it was kind of strange that these were such shorts books but now I get it. They are very easy to devour in one sitting and the pages just fly by. Plus anything with dragons will be amazing in my eyes.
I do kind of wish we got more in the world building department though but I think there's always room for improvement. Maybe the next book will give me the best of both worlds and merge everything a bit better.
In the end, I am really enjoyed this series and I look forward to the next book Call of the Scorched Empire.

This third book was really one of my favorite, the world has been really captivated and I enjoyed the characters in this world.

This is the third book of the short Serpentine Throne series, the books are short but I found the story entertaining, one storyline running within all books, and with different stories containing different character's adventures. I love dragons so this is what really got me in, the worldbuilding could've been better, but being this short it was understandable.

The third in the series, but the story can stand on its own. After rough adventures in the prior books, young Mairynne is one step closer to her goal, to bring back her father,. She faces Rpg scenarios of test of spirit, mind and heart. In this quest she has to give up what she discovers is most important to achieve the freedom of her kidnapped father. For her people can she live with herself with the choice she has to make. She finds new companionship, new magic, and the next step to her quest. Hope the next book will come out soon so we can continue the story.
