The Detective Josie Quinn series is one of my favorites. The characters are well developed and you feel a strong connection to them. Lisa Regan does a great job of pulling you into the book early on and you are taken on a twisting and turning roller coaster ride as you sift through the clues to solve the mystery. I fell in love with Emily. She will steal your heart. The author does a great job of addressing mental issues in children. She does this in a way that is not dismissive and focuses on the need for assistance and caring. Can’t wait to see what adventure Josie and Noah will discover in the next book.

This book is number 11 in the series and wow, Lisa just keeps on bringing it on. What a book. It doesnt matter that it is a part of a series , you can still read it as a standalone. Great characters and loads of action.

This is the eleventh book in the Detective Josie Quinn series and this is a great read. This series continues to be great, book after book. This story follows Josie and her fiancé, Noah and their wedding day. However, at the church where they are to be married, a little girls' body is found. Josie goes to investigate the family to get more information and thinks that the family is hiding something. The unthinkable happens during the investigation, which devastates Josie.
This series is so good. I look forward to more books in the series being released in the future.

This series is so addicting it is like eating a bag of potato chips that you just can't stop eating.

Josie and Noah’s wedding day is finally here. That is until the body of a young girl is discovered outside the wedding chapel. This wasn't just any girl though, it was someone Josie knows. Now Josie, Noah and the team are hunting for the killer.

Lisa Regan never disappoints! Her writing is so clever and creative that you can’t put her books down! This book takes on OCD and related disorders in such a real and informative way that I came away from reading it feeling like I learned a few things. I love the growth with Josie and Noah and the relationship with her grandmother! I can’t wait for the next in the series!

This book was a page turner from beginning to end. Very captivating with amazing character development. A woman in the middle of no where saves her when she hits an animal and her fiancé leaves her to go get help one night. Their paths cross again on her wedding day. Except now the woman is dead, as is one of her children. And the detective won’t stop until she finds the reason for these murders. This book is so full of twists and turns I was shocked at the end. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

Lisa Regan was fantastic, this series got better with every book where Josie was so beautifully etched out. The stakes got higher with this one when a child's body was found stranded. The writing was smooth with suspense seeping through the words. I liked how the author kept me on my toes. This was one rocking police procedural

This is unbelievably, the eleventh book in the series featuring Detective Josie Quinn. The book opens with Josie preparing for her wedding to Lieutenant Noah Farley. As the guests are assembling everything is put on hold when the body of an 11 year old little girl is found on the steps of the church. Josie recognises the girl as being Holly. Holly’s mum, Lorelei, had come to Josie’s rescue a few months previously when Josie was stranded in her car when a deer had run into it. Lorelei had taken Josie to her house to wait for Noah and had shown her photos of her two daughters, Holly and Emily. When Josie arrives at Lorelei’s house to inform her about Holly’s death she finds her dead and Emily missing. Josie hears noises and finds Emily, hiding but unhurt and traumatised. Josie builds a rapport with Emily to try to find the murderer but there are so many secrets and lies to uncover to solve the mystery. This is another good read from Lisa Regan and I can’t wait for the next book in the series.
Thanks to Netgalley and Bookouture for giving me the opportunity to read and review this book.

Detective Lisa Quinn was due to get married. In the gardens of the church, the body of a young girl was discovered. So Quinn leaves her wedding before it had even started, to head off to the crime scene. When I read this it made me think that this book is not really going to be very believable. What Cop would do that?

Firstly I found this very bizarre and couldn't believe that any copy would abandon their own wedding to deal with a murder. They would leave it to their colleagues.

The character of Lisa Quinn irritated me a lot. Though the storyline was interesting and well thought out, it didn't grip me like I hoped it would. I think the reason for this was that there were several chapters which related to a family and their in house secrets and fighting, which, although pertinent to the story, it just seemed to lose the excitement of the case.

Having said that, all the elements together made it a fairly good read, but I was just hoping for more.

I am late posting my review for this book due to having COVID-19 during the time I requested and read this book and my husband's lingering health problems. But I enjoyed it. I thought it was well written, like all of Regan's books. I didn't guess the killer which is always a plus and the twist and turns were great. I love Josie, but I love Noah even more. He is such a gem and I love watching their relationship grow through the investigations. I also have greatly enjoyed seeing Josie's character arc, the ups and downs of her character are realistic and strong.

Thank you so much for the opportunity to read this book. I am sorry I am so late with my review.

This latest of the Josie Quinn books is just as great a read as, if not even better, all the books by Lisa Regan. I usually don’t like to read books about children getting, but this one was very well done.

This is a clever and exciting story which had my emotions ricochet from sorrow to anger and back again. There are several characters to hate in this book but that doesn't make them killers. The identity of this callous individual came as a total shock to me. A book to settle down with when you have time for a long read.

Oh my goodness. This is the best Josie Quinn book yet. It was an emotional roller coaster ride. I found out it is possible to hate a book even thought you loved it. I can not wait for the next one comes out. Lisa Regan outdid herself with this one..

This is another superb crime thriller featuring Detective Josie Quinn, one that I read in a day because I just didn’t want to put it down until I’d finished it. It is the eleventh story in the series but I suspect could still be enjoyed as a standalone – though I definitely believe you’ll enjoy it even more if you’re reconnecting with the characters and relationships after reading any of the earlier books.

Josie is all dressed up in her bridal finery when the body of a child is found outside the church where the ceremony is due to take place. Josie discovers that the victim is twelve year old Holly Mitchell, the daughter of someone who came to her rescue a month ago. Josie and Noah go to Holly’s home and discover that her mother has also been murdered – but where is Holly’s eight year old sister? Whilst their friends, family and colleagues all encourage Josie and Noah to go ahead with their wedding, neither of them feel able to do so and embark on another riveting investigation.

What a gripping read this proved to be! It is a superbly paced, intriguing read with some tear-jerking moments, a really emotional roller coaster with plenty to keep you guessing as the story unfolds. It is told from the point of view of Josie, keeping the reader in the heart of the action, which is fraught with mystery, secrets, suspicions, family drama and deadly danger. It is a brilliant read that I have no hesitation in highly recommending to anyone who enjoys crime thrillers and police procedurals.

Thanks to Bookouture and NetGalley for my copy of this book which I have voluntarily read and honestly reviewed.

This is book 11 in the Josie Quinn series and it is still just as good as the first. There isn’t a single dud. I love the main characters but there are quite a few to keep track of so it might be better to read the books in order to get to know them better. Josie and Noah are absolutely adorable and I love watching them grow together. Such a power couple.

The case is a tough one for the team to crack and there are so many twists as they try to uncover this isolated family's secrets. I had no idea who the bad guy was but the hunt kept me hooked. Emily was probably my favourite character and I think she was written so well. The story covers OCD but it is handled sensitively and shows some of the struggles people can have with it.

It’s a well written crime thriller with a host of lovable characters that make you feel a whole range of emotions from joy to fear and heartbreak. Highly recommend
