Mia has settled in a bit to Magic Springs. Her business is operating and she has plans to expand it. While there are still some who don't want her to refurbish the school, for various reasons, she also has support from friends. There is some flirting and potential romance heating up.
The school, which is now her home and business, is as much a character as Mia's kitchen witch and possessed cat.
Grans' former beau, now deceased (yet not gone) passed along his Grimoire to his daughter, an actress. She mistakenly tries to use a spell or two to boost her career. Since she never paid attention to any magical lessons from her father, things go wrong. She comes to Magic Springs for help, and to settle her father's estate. When a man is found dead in Mia's garden, suspicion falls on this visiting guest. Since the victim was found at Mia's home, she gets involved in the investigation.

Many story trails to follow but they blend wonderfully, giving us better insight to Magic Springs and Mia's life struggles. I enjoy these characters and appreciate watching them grow in each book.
If that isn't enough, your mouth will water as Mia mixes up delicious meals.
Recipes included at the end!

Two Wicked Desserts, book #2 in the Kitchen Witch Mystery series, is another fun whodunit from author Lynn Cahoon. Mia Malone who purchased the old school house in Magic Springs, Idaho so she could open Mia's Morsels, her catering service and cooking class business, has a body found on her property. That means she needs to find the murderer before any more trouble occurs. I like how Mia drives Detective Baldwin crazy with her theories. I also am enjoying the developing relationship between Mia and Trent. Sounds like Mia's kitchen witch is signaling more trouble to come. I am really looking forward to the next book.

I received an ARC in exchange for a honest review.

I’m so hooked on this series. Mia is an awesome kitchen witch. I just loved her gran and Christina. The small town they live in is just perfect. I was pulled into Mia’s life and the story. I cannot wait to see where the story goes. I highly recommend this series. Thank you to Kensington Books and NetGalley for this free advanced copy in exchange for an honest review.

Two Wicked Desserts is the 2nd in Lynn Cahoon's newest series. Mia Malone has managed to get it together in her work life, and in her personal life. The school she purchased is now where she instructs cooking students and has her catering. She and her grandmother still do spells in addition to the business--- they are immersed in one involving their cat and a warlock spirit. While working on Mia's kitchen garden---a dead man is discovered and the mystery is off at a quick pace. The new characters offer more variety to the series ---and humor. This was an enjoyable and quick read.

Thank you Lynn Cahoon, NetGalley, and Kensington for giving me an ARC as I requested. All opinions expressed are my own.

"Two Wicked Desserts" the 2nd instalment in the "Kitchen Witch" Mystery series by Lynn Cahoon. I love visiting Magic Springs, Idaho and catching up with Mia, Grans and Christina! I found myself engrossed in the story and seeing how Mia and Trent and Christina and James relationships are progressing. I’m a huge fan girl of Lynn’s and always fall in love with the characters, town and become invested in what’s happening.

I found the mystery very interesting as well as entertaining, and I can’t wait to learn more about Mias ancestors. It was full of twists and turns that kept me guessing till the very end. I cant wait to see what happens next for Mia and her friends in book 3.

I highly recommend this new series to all my cozy loving friends.

Good addition to the series, love seeing how things were tied up; love seeing how everybody is doing now. The mystery was fun, with just enough new characters to make it fun, but not be overwhelming. And greet conclusion!

Two Wicked Desserts is the sophomore entry in Lynn Cahoon's new Kitchen Witch cozy mystery series. This new book finds Mia settling into her new life. Her grandmother is schooling her in witchcraft and she is busy running her catering business and also teaching culinary classes to the locals. Her newest endeavor is planting a garden of hard to come by ingredients. Almost everything is going according to plan with the exception of ridding her cat of a warlock's spirit. But soon all of her plans are interrupted when a body turns up in her new garden.

This is a fun series. I really enjoy the kitchen witch aspect which adds a fun and magical element to the cozy genre. The characters are well developed and the mystery is really solid and I was fully engaged with it. I also really enjoy the setting and all of the small town characters that inhabit it. This is a unique and entertaining series that is sure to appeal to fans of magical cozies. It's simply enchanting.

I struggled with this book some. There was a lot going on, too many random things that the author was trying to cram into the story that were taking attention away from the main story. The guardian, the new ghost, the mother's frenemy pretending to be a friend...Just way too much. The mystery was resolved in an extremely unlikely manner- does the author really expect us to believe that a small town realtor can take out a professional hitman?
This one is a miss for me.

Thank you NetGalley for the advanced reader copy of Two Wicked Desserts by Lynn Cahoon in exchange for an honest review. Mia Malone bought an old school to open a catering company and cooking school in Magic Springs, ID. Mia and her grandmother also do spells on the side. A man finds a body in Mia's back yard. What a surprise. She is busy teaching classes cooking for her catering jobs. Two Wicked Desserts was a light hearted cozy mystery. Lynn Cahoon is a good author and I have enjoyed reading many of her books.

Kindle Copy for Review from Kensington Books and Net Galley.

I received a free, advance copy of this book and this is my unbiased and voluntary review.

Mia and her grandmother is having a difficult time removing a warlock spirit from Mia’s cat Mr. Darcy.

The warlock has not quite left this earthly plane as it has transferred his power to his daughter’s grimoire an actress. She hopes her father knowledge will lead to her big break but it only lands her to Idaho where she is prime suspect for a hit man’s murder.

Mia will have to conjure up a murder to go along with the dead body at her restaurant’s garden. A quaint storyline.

Through NetGalley, I received a free copy of TWO WICKED DESSERTS (Book 2 of the Kitchen Witch Mysteries) by Lynn Cahoon in exchange for an honest review. Mia Malone has settled into her new life running a catering business and teaching classes. Mia’s next project is to plant her own kitchen garden to supply her business with hard-to-find ingredients. However, Mia’s plans are set back when a body turns up where her garden is supposed to be going. Dorian Alexander’s daughter Cindy, who was in town to settle Dorian’s estate, ends up being the prime suspect in the murder. To make matters even more complicated, someone has started rumors that Mia is closing her business and leaving town. With a murder in the backyard, with a potential murderess in her guest room, with someone trying to run her out of business, Mia finds herself investigating both the homicide and the rumors in the hopes of saving both her business and Dorian’s daughter.

I like this author and look forward to her books. I recommend this book to fans of cozy mysteries featuring murder and magic.

Normally I’m a big fan of Lynn Cahoon , unfortunately this series just doesn’t do it for me.
Parts of the story dragged on a bit, and the rest of it just fell a bit flat. I will continue to read her other books, but this series is just not for me.

Mia Malone is finally living her life for herself. She has her own catering and prepared food delivery business, her own home where she runs her business from, and family and friends she loves. Why do dead bodies just keep showing up in her yard though?

When the body of a hitman is found in her yard, she needs to find out who it was and why he was in town. Was he there to take her out and if so, who sent him? Between trying to figure out the man’s murder and hosting the daughter of the man living in her cat’s body, Mia has her hands full. She just wants to focus on growing her business, but will her next course be a new recipe or death?

This is a fun series from a fabulous author. I read all of Lynn Cahoon’s series. I mean ALL of them. and they are all awesome. Best thing I love about her is that she will write Novellas to tide you over between books sometimes and that makes this girl happy! She truly is a magical author!

I love Lynn Cahoon's books. I felt like this one meandered a bit. There's not a lot of investigating going on. Even the reveal of the killer was a bit swish-swashy. I enjoyed it but wish it was a bit more straight-forward. #TwoWickedDesserts #NetGalley
