This was a great book about climate change and how everything we do really has a deep effect on the Earth.

This highly illustrated nonfiction book will have climate change enthusiasts and fact loving students pouring over the pages. Each section has “how you can help” and “how people are helping sections” so that readers will know what is being done to fix the problems.

Andrea Minoglio’s Our World Out of Balance is an excellent resource book for explaining what exactly climate change is and what we can do about it. With clear, concise explanations and beautiful full color graphics, students of all ages will have a better understanding. Minoglio doesn’t leave readers in a state of despair, either, but gives suggestions and what humans can do to change our plight. I only wish more was mentioned about the importance of changing corporate and political behaviors. There are many adults who would benefit from reading this book.

This book covers a wide variety of topics and would serve as a good introduction to climate change. I like that it gives examples of what is causing the change, as well as things for the reader to do and things that are currently being done. Overall, I would recommend this book to my science students and fellow teachers for their classrooms as well.

Our World Out of Balance is a great science book for kids for understanding climate change and the ways in which individuals can help make a positive impact vs. how our negative impact has harmed the planet already. There should be more information about how large corporations need to be held accountable so that children don't feel like the responsibility falls solely on them.

I did like seeing a lot of action plans in both writing and visual illustrations for children to participate in. I wasn't a huge fan of the illustration style but I did like the pages that compared the negative changes on an environment to how an ecosystem should look at its most healthy and natural state.

Overall, it's a great science book about climate change and would be a great resource for homeschooling. I would recommend this one. Thank you the NetGalley for the digital ARC.

Solid children's science book that explains different aspects of climate change at a good level of detail for the audience. Colorful diagrams and helpful text boxes break down the causes and effects of the science behind global warming and other such phenomena. Explanations on what is being done to combat the issues and tips as to how one can pitch in.
(Though I will say it falls into the trap that this is about individual behavior changes and not higher level of corporate responsibility.....)
