Thank you to NetGalley and Plume for the opportunity to have access to an ARC of this book! My hard copy was already preordered of course and it was so special to get to read this ahead of it’s release and pick it up my home copy the day of release at my local indie bookstore! Thank you!

I really loved Tyler on The Bachelorette, I found him humble, and easy to relate to. I have read many books written by former contestants of the show and have found them enjoyable. I was very excited and eager to read his book.

Learning about his life and his journey was inspiring. I appreciated the life lessons he discovered in every chapter. He seems to be a very authentic person that has a strong desire to help others. The chapters written by his friends and family were interesting. The only part of them that I did not enjoy was that often they felt like were overly gushing about Tyler. I understand they love him, but at times it felt like they lacked substance.

Reading the book felt much like reading someone’s journal. The writing felt thoughtful, and he provided many insights about what he has learned throughout his life. The writing is not the best I have ever read, but it’s imperfections almost made it that much more relatable. Although I did enjoy his book, I did find it to be very slow. I often put it down and would not pick it back up for days, which is unusual for me. I expected a book mostly about his experience on The Bachelorette and provide some new information. If I knew beforehand that this was not the case, and that very little of his book actually discusses his time on The Bachelorette I would have been disappointed. After reading the book I am glad he kept it to the minimum and focused on other parts of his life.

As a longtime member of Bachelor Nation, I knew that I had to read Tyler C's book. I have been watching for 7 or 8 years at this point and he is one of my favorite contestants of all time (coming in just behind Peter K. from Rachel's season). With that being said, this memoir really disappointed me. I was hoping that Tyler would give us more behind the scene details about his time on the television show, but the majority of the title was about his life pre-Bachelorette. In addition to this, the writing was really repetitive and boring. I'm sure other Bachelor fans will pick this one up, but if you don't watch the show/didn't watch Hannah Brown's season, I wouldn't recommend reading this title.

my crush. I loved Tyler on the bachelorette, loved him during the quarantine, and love that he still uses his voice to talk about what women deserve in a man. He has suffered great loss and heart break but still remains humble. i really enjoyed this book

Tyler Cameron brings his readers through his life journey leading up to, and after, his appearance on "The Bachelorette." This book is not your typical bachelor nation gossip. It moves away from that and offers so much more. Sure, readers will find the typical mentions of the show, but the mentions are layered with more in-depth insight into Cameron's character rather than throwing any one under the bus. It is interesting that the book is written with the dual perspectives - one from his point of view and then the others from the point of views of his closest friends and family - that shed light on his persona. Although there is some repetition throughout the book, Cameron's voice and passion rings true throughout the pages as he describes the various relationships in his life. Relationships that come in all shapes and sizes - friends, lovers, family members. It is a quick, easy, read; one that makes readers feel like they are sitting down and having a heartfelt conversation with Cameron. Filled with tidbits of insight, and the occasional advice, this is a book for everyone. Thank you to the publisher, author, and NetGalley for the e-ARC. Keep an eye out for this book when is hits shelves on July 27th, 2021. Remember, it is what it is - don't expect high quality writing here. It's just an ordinary man writing his story in an extraordinary way. For that, the book is a 5 star love affair for me.
