This book is a fresh and fun look at the keeto diet.
Set out well, with a great symbol system. Easy to follow, with some straightforward, tastey recipes.
If you are considering Keeto, this is a must.
Highly recommended.

Wow!!! Amazing recipes and pictures in this cookbook. I love the straightforward, easy conversation style of the authors. I chuckled a lot reading a cookbook! The breakdown of cooking terms, measurements, alternative ingredient options and images index makes the task of cooking (one that I find overwhelming) seem achievable and fun. As someone who is very lazy when it comes to cooking (if it's pre-chopped, pre-rinsed, pre-anything...I'm sold), I found these quick meals, desserts AND cocktails hard to resist. I'm also new to the Keto diet and find it difficult to find meals I actually enjoy and that stick to the requirements. I tried a great deal of the recipes included and the crowd pleasers among Keto and non-Keto eaters alike were the Chocolate Chip Muffins in a Jiffy, Crash Course Carnitas and the Canoodling Crab Rangoons!

Many thanks to the publisher and NetGalley for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.

This is another great collection of interesting and innovative recipes from the folks at Dirty, Lazy Keto that will let your have your cake (and bread), and stay low carb! I will be interested in trying the famous chaffle, the keto waffle. The "Englsh Muffin" is delicious, and will become a staple with my breakfast. The stroganoff recipe looks delicious, and you will not miss the carb-laden pasta. This book will help you enjoy the low carb way of eating as you lose weight.

Cookbooks have so many ingredients for each recipe, it adds up in $$. Its great to see a more realistic book which keeps meals relatively low cost. As to whether Keto is the way of the future or not, that is yet to be seen. But get some good, user-friendly recipes in the meantime.

Overall, this cookbook is pretty good. The recipes are all very simple and include nutritional facts. There are not as many pictures as I would like, maybe pictures for 1/3 of the recipes? Also, many of the recipes use pretty processed and unhealthy ingredients. However, if your focus is just low carb and quick, this nails it. The recipes all sound pretty yummy, with easy to find ingredients and simple instructions. There are a broad range of recipes as well. I'm excited to try some of them out!

I'm so glad I got my hands on this cookbook! I don't follow a Keto diet but I love simple and healthy recipes. I was not expecting to get much out of the book beyond a few new recipes but the secrets for success section was an excellent addition. I think my favorite part of the cookbook is how each recipe has a very clear nutrition label. The tips and opinions portion of each recipe is pretty great too. I can't wait to cook my way through this book!

Stephanie is one of my favorite keto authors and this cookbook is one of my favorite keto cookbooks. I love that her definition of "dirty, lazy" does not mean unhealthy. She uses lots of vegetables, avoids fake cheat keto foods like keto bread and ice cream, reminds us to still be mindful of portions and dairy, and sets a great example by keeping fit (she says she wrote the cookbook while using her treadmill standing desk, which sounds like torture to me but is definitely inspiring). She does tend to use more crushed pork rinds than I'd like but she also says you can use TVP instead. I'm not going to use that either but I admire her creativity. There are color photos for about half the recipes and a fair number are dairy free and/or vegetarian. Nutritional information is provided and an extensive section at the front explains what keto is what she means by dirty, lazy (basically, no keto police and just count carbs instead of obsessing about every macro). While I'm a little more clean keto than she is, I will happily use many of these recipes. I also love her fun personality, which comes through in the book with a perfect balance of encouraging, sincere, funny and real.

I read a temporary digital ARC of this book for review.

I have been following Stephanie Laska for a while and have read all of her books. I have been recently trying the keto way and this book has been very helpful. These are quick meals with few ingredients. I recommend her books to anyone who is not STRICT keto.

I received this advanced reader copy as an ARC from NetGalley in exchange for a honest review. I love the variety and simplicity of this cookbook. The recipes are delicious but so easy to make and the tips make keto easy to stick with in tough situations.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

I was excited to read this book as I have been a follower of Keto for the last few years and I am always looking for new recipes. I found this book to be comprehensive and filled with recipes that are simple to understand with ingredients that most all Keto followers would have on hand. I especially appreciated all the one pot/one dish meals. I think all of these recipes would be enjoyed by the entire family, even the non-keto people. There were a variety of recipes and I appreciated the info provided with each one which made it easier to keep track of carbs, net carbs and calories. At the front of the book is a good primer on the keto lifestyle, which anyone new to keto would be able to comprehend. Overall I thin this is an exceptional cookbook, and a must have for anyone serious about following the ketogenic lifestyle.

Finally! A keto cookbook that doesn't require a thousand ingredients per recipe. Beyond basic pantry staples, which most on keto already have, these recipes are truly only 5 ingredients. There is a wide variety to choose from and all are organized as such: No cook, Less mess, I'm hangry (my favorite), Picky eaters?, Fancy enough for guests, and Vegetarian-ish. All recipes include a detailed nutritional panel, as well as a tip & options column for substitutions or suggestions.

I love the no frills and casual tone within the cookbook. It really feels like I'm at my friend's house and she's sharing her personal keto recipes hacks with me, The only downside, in my opinion, is lack of photographs. But honestly, the sheer density of recipes makes up for that fact.

You can't go wrong with this cookbook! Save it for those days when you really don't feel like making a 5 star meal from scratch. Gift it to your friend that is slammed with work but still needs quick dinner options.

Great book for those of us that want to eat healthier without spending all of our time and money in the kitchen!

Thanks for the opportunity to review this cookbook. I have read a similar edition to this one and have basically the same feedback... I hate the name “dirty lazy Keto” but I know why it’s used. I think it just strikes something in me that completely turns off wanting to read this book based on this. I’ve seen it in stores and was just like, ugh, why? Either way, it’s not a bad cookbook. Definitely lives up to its aims and would serve as a good primer for people wanting to try the Keto diet. I live low carb for medical reasons so I can attest that it’s hard to do if you have to make major lifestyle changes AND make everyone in your household happy. Ketogenic diets actually are quite adaptive and include a lot of the foods that are western diet staples, just altered. So this guide is helpful and educational for those beginners, can flip through and find some inspiration or ideas for meals

Easy recipes for keto dieters. I like that nutrition information is on the page with the recipes and that there are icons to guide you to the correct recipe for your needs.

A Keto diet is complicated, right? There are weird menus and long shopping lists, right? Wrong! In The DIRTY, LAZY, KETO 5-Ingredient Cookbook, Stephanie Laska and her husband show you just how easy and simple a keto diet can be!

So how do you start? Stephanie goes through the basics of a keto diet, including a guide to reading food labels and a food pyramid. Then come the basics. There is a list of the kitchen equipment needed. There’s nothing unusual here, just what the average cook has in her/his kitchen already. Staples are next: salt, pepper, olive oil, vegetable broth, etc. This list is important because Stephanie assumes you have these staples on hand and does not count them as some of the five ingredients that make up each recipe. She even includes a sample shopping list.

Then come the recipes. 100 keto recipes organized into sections for breakfast, soups and salads, desserts and more. Easy to understand icons let you know whether the recipe is cooked in one pot, suitable for guests, for picky eaters, etc. It is hard to pick a favorite recipe from The DIRTY, LAZY, KETO 5-Ingredient Cookbook but, to me, these are standouts. Drive-thru Bacon burger salad, Phony Philly Cheesesteak, Jalapeño Whispy Crisps (bacon and two kinds of cheese!), and Gold Star Sushi.

Stephanie and William Laska believe that “You don’t have to be a professional chef or a mathematician to lose weight with DIRTY LAZY KETO” and it shows in this cookbook. Gorgeous photographs, funny recipe titles and the thought of so many delicious meals ahead makes this a standout on your cookbook shelf. 5 stars.

Thank you to NetGalley, Adams Media and Stephanie and William Laska for this ARC.

The titles of recipes alone is worth the price for the book. The authors make keto recipes easy to follow with easy to find ingredients. This is definitely not a stuffy uptight diet cookbook. You know the ones were you feel defeated before you even start? There’s recipes in here for every meal and snacks. Desserts and drinks are even included. Following this book will help you stay focused and help you succeed with keto.
