The Quarterback Sacked by Love
by Rogin Radocha

Casen is a Philadelphia Eagles quarterback who breaks up with actress Steffi Stevens. He goes to the uk for three weeks to do an exhibition game. Once there Casen discovers the opposition team is now darting Steffi! Casen has a one night on meeting Collins a writer assign to produce an article about Casen not realising he is actually the said quarterback until the next day she goes to her assignment to meet the quarterback.

A reasonable sports romance will the hard nosed writer produce the inside story as required by her boss and sacrifice a great relationship or will the promotion win out ? A well paced story with some steamy events. 3.5/5

This book was really good. I felt like it was a bit fast and rushed in some parts and in others it was a good enough pace. Looking forward to reading more from this author

I received a complimentary copy of The Quarterback Sacked by Love in exchange for an honest review. Even though this storyline has probably been done a hundred times, this was still worth the read. The writing style and pace was great, and I love the fact that Casen and Collin hooked up without knowing how famous Casen was.

Their "official" meeting was classic. I found myself anticipating Casen and Collins reactions and the author did not disappoint. I wasn't too crazy about Collins using Casen to enhance her career, but she came around in the end.

A predictable and easy to read sports romance. I didn't really believe in their chemistry but it's okay either way. I would read something else by this author!

I received this arc for an honest review.
Casey Walls is the quarterback for the professional football team in Philadelphia. Now he and the team has traveled to London for a game. During this time is he is working through his breakup with his fiancé from last years who went on to be with the opposing teams starting quarterback.
Collins Baker who is a reporter has a very hot one-night stand with Casey and actually does not know who he is until the next day. It is then that she goes to her boss to work at getting a better assignment which also brings her closer to Cassey. Now he has to deal with his ex and a new woman that he is really attracted to.
Each is dealing with past hurts and pains and much deal with each other and with what is going on around them. They also have to move past everything without the sex if they are going to go any further. Towards the end of this story, it really becomes a very good story and really all comes together, good characters and a good story.

This book was really good. I felt like it was a bit fast and rushed in some parts and in others it was a good enough pace. I really loved Casen’s character, he sounded like he was one of the good guys the more we got into the story. I never thought he sounded stuck up or like someone who was so into himself. He seemed genuine and like a great guy from the get go.

Collins was different though, she sounded cold most of the time. I guess in a way she did it to kind of have this wall built up and not let anyone have enough power to hurt her. But even then when she wanted to get her promotion and write that story about Casen it never seemed to bother her that she was basically playing with his feelings. Which was something I didn’t really enjoy, It’s as if she didn’t care if what she was going to write was going to hurt him emotionally. So that’s one of the things I didn’t like about her character.

But other than that the story was good, i really enjoyed the plot. The steamy scenes were well written. I wish we could’ve gotten more backstory on both characters that way we could’ve known more about them but other than that who’s was a great read and very fast paced. Definitely recommend if anyone is thinking about picking it up.

The Quarterback Sacked by Love was a cute romance starring likeable Collins and Casen as they meet and spend 3 weeks together while Casen is in London for his job. The story was cute, and I enjoyed it. However, the book had a lot of sentence fragments, even more run-on sentences, and a lack of punctuation, all of which detracted from my overall enjoyment. Had the book been free of these errors, I would have given 4 stars. Thank you to the author, publisher and NetGalley for the ARC in exchange for my honest review.

I read the entirety of this book because it was so short. If it was any longer, this would be a DNF for me.

Very early into the story, I could tell it was not going to be highly rated by me. The formatting of the book needs a lot of work. I thought maybe it was just an issue with the ARC I’d received, so I went on Kindle and downloaded the published copy to read instead but it was identical. The dialogue was extremely hard to follow because of formatting issues. Everything was one giant paragraph with no breaks. The author also used the same phrases over and over, which made the book feel extremely unedited and amateur. The author seemed to favor writing out every single step of every action each character did. It started to feel like a grocery list rather than a scene description.

This was a quick, easy read with an extremely predictable plot line. There was zero depth to the writing or characters. Casen and Collins were both likable characters, very stereotypical in their personalities for the trope of the book. Neither wowed me. Would have liked more substance from the side characters.

Rated The Quarterback Sacked by Love a 2.5 stars.

I enjoyed this story. It was steamy, fun and a fast read. I loved getting to know the two main characters, and I appreciated that Casen wasn't an arrogant jerk. He was down to earth and opened to love. The problem I had with this book was the formatting. The sentences weren't correctly structured, and so at times, it was confusing to read.

Casen Walls is the quarterback for the Philadelphia Eagles. He has just had a high profile breakup with Steffi Stevens. He is in London for 3 weeks for an exhibition game. The quarterback for the opposing team, Tyler Spacey, is dating Steffi Stevens. On the first night in London, Casen hooks up with Collins Baker for a night of steamy sex. Collins is a writer and has been assigned to write an article on Casen. She does not recognize him and in fact thinks his name is Jason. She assumed that this was a one night event and does not expect to see him again. Casen is actually interested in her and pursues Collins. They spend 2 great weeks together and she meets his friends on the team. Her boss has assigned her to write a story on Casen and is expecting lots of inside information as she discovers their relationship. Big drama occurs involving Steffi. This is a good book involving relationships, friendship and family.

I found it hard to get into this book at the beginning.. I think it was because of how quickly we go from Casen's View to Collins View but once you realize that is how it is going to flow you can really get into it.

The Character development and the path the story takes should have been expected however it caught me off guard and left me wanting to know more so I struggled to put the book down once I really got into it. There are steamy moments but also so kind of boring moments that you just want to power through to get to the next steamy part.

Overall I enjoyed this book and would probably reach for it again when looking for a light/fun read.

A big thank you to NetGalley and the author for the ARC. This book is Independently Published. I am voluntarily reviewing this book. I believe this is my first time reading this author. This is a quick read, I believe it was 90 pages long. It is a cute, fun book. Lots of sex and drama. This is such an easy read, if you need a break read this. 3 stars. The characters are believable and interesting. Casen has great friends as does Collins.
