Oh, my! This is such a cute little book with colorful and bright illustrations. I’m so glad I started reading children’s works. Ben is a cutie pie who loves to draw and make others happy. The book is about how he brings together the kids from his class and more people from across the globe to join the Happiness Club. While the story is sweet, it’s the illustrations that grabbed my attention. And the question at the end of the book is something we all need to think about.
Thank you, NetGalley and Linguacious, for the ARC.

First of all, the illustrations were gorgeous! However, I did find the font to not quite flow with the rest of the book.

The message was lovely and has inspired my son to start his own happiness club!

He also loved seeing all the different ways to draw (on the glass of the bus for example).

I would definitely buy this book for the inspiration it provided my son!

4.5 stars!

What a lovely, cute little book! It's a sweet story about Ben and his fascination to draw. He just wants to make everyone happy through his illustrations. And one day, he creates a Happiness Club' and many kids join him.

It's a nice, thoughtful story. And the illustrations by Eszter Miklós are just gorgeous! It's so thoughtful how certain sensitive things have not been said, but they have been expressed through pictures.

I buddy read it with my child and we enjoyed it!

What a delightful read!

I think this book would be perfect for children and especially for adults that want to start a chat with their kids about happiness and emotions, ways to deal with the "hardest" emotions and what to do to make others happy. I think it would give a lot of conversations' starters on topics relating to emotions and how to help others, how to make others happy depending on their personalities and interests.

The illustrations in this book are particularly beautiful, the illustrator did a marvelous job!

A lovely and beautifully illustrated story which gives children an important message on how we can make others happy, which also helps to make ourselves happy. Ben is a lovely boy who loves to draw. He has an idea to start a happiness club and to be a member you must do something to make each member happy. The children do this by using their talents of singing, making origami, drawing etc. It is a lovely tale of how we can make those around us happy by doing kind things and using our talents.

Thank you NetGalley for giving me the opportunity to read this ARC. First off, I absolutely loved the illustrations in this book, it’s very colourful and engaging. Which I find perfect for the audience intended for this title.

This story follows a young Ben who loves to draw. He also loves to use his drawings to make others happy. After a bit he has a great idea to make a happiness club. Which is a club made to make others happy. Ben ends up getting a number of members.

Then one day Ben gets very sad news and starts to draw and reminisce over old drawings. Those drawings brought a sense of the happiness he had when drawing them. Which led to two new members of a special club. His parents.

The book then ends with Ben being much older and a parent and author himself.

This book had a fantastic message. But I also feel like the book could have been a bit longer with out losing a young ones attention in reading it.

This book was a beautiful but very short read. I really loved the main character Ben and I thought he had good emotional intelligence especially for a child of his age. I loved the premise of the book and we all need reminders to be kind and to look out for other people. Overall a lovely little book and despite me probably not being the target audience I throughly enjoyed it and would recommend to anyone but especially those with young children.

This book has absolutely gorgeous illustrations which is fitting because it is about a boy who loves to illustrate. The message is sweet and even though my 5-year-old couldn't read it by herself, she enjoyed the book being read to her. I definitely recommend it for all art loving kids, especially in the 7-10 age group.

A wonderful children's book about the power of kindness and acts of service! Ben is a little boy who is on a journey to spread happiness with all of those around him and is a great role model to elementary students!

This is the story of Ben who wants to help make people happy. He does this by making drawings to share with others. I love how sweet the morale of this story was. It proved that one little person, with a simple, loving gesture, can run with it and turn it into something as big as the Happiness Club.
The illustrations are beautifully done and with the story will encourage children to share their talents with others making them happy too. It left me feeling happy and reminded me to share that happiness with others. Sometimes even we adults are in need of a reminder! I will be purchasing this book for my granddaughter.
Thank you for the advance copy!

As someone who works in the creativity field and was always a creative kid, I wish I had this book growing up. It illustrates perfectly the desire to create and make other people happy with art. The message is powerful and perfectly put into words and the illustrations are the best I’ver seen.

A very lovely feel good book.
Really nice pictures and ideas and happy feel
Good thoughts. I also liked how it stressed you don’t need a grand gesture to make someone happy.
Really lovely book

How CUTE.

I really wish I could have had a story like this when I was a child. The art and the story here was so cute and I literally just want to give Ben a hug and tell him that he matters.

Even if starting from a good idea, the Happiness Club, I couldn't really dive into the story and empathize with Ben. Maybe it's just me but I neither appreciated the setting for texts and illustrations. '

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This beautifully-illustrated picture book is guaranteed to make you happy. Who could resist Ben, a sweet and caring boy who finds that sharing his love of drawing with his friends makes him happy. And makes them happy. And so it goes. Ben has stumbled on to one of life’s greatest mysteries - you can share happiness, and in doing so, you actually create more happiness. Both for the giver and the receiver, In a never-ending spiral (that would make a mathematicians head spin!)

Excited with his discovery, Ben forms a Happiness Club, and soon we find member-friends working each day, one at a time, each focusing on a happiness gift to one other. In a boundless, borderless, totally transfixing world, the Happiness Club blossoms, each child sharing just what they can, what they are good at, or what they have thought of to brighten another’s day.

As Ben grows and faces inevitable loss and sadness, he learns that loving kindness can heal, allowing happiness to shine through in spite of pain, providing yet another dimension to the magical happiness equation.

Ben’s story carries forth into adulthood as he becomes an illustrator of children’s books, providing the perfect outlet for him to continues to spread the happiness message to an even wider audience.

I found this little book magical, uplifting and heartwarming. Could it really be that easy?
I encourage you to read it, share it with you children, and give it a try!

Many thanks to NetGalley, the publisher, and the author for an advance review copy of this delightful book. All thoughts presented are my own.

What a wonderful story! A beautiful book with a heartwarming message at the root of it. I adored the illustrations. This book will be a firm family favourite! It has already inspired my teen to pick up her pencils and brushes again, and my 7 yr old is making Happiness stickers for his own Happiness club! A beautiful book for the whole family to share.
