I was not a fan of the first 59 pages being information and advice/opinions. I also like cookbooks that have pictures for every recipe, and this only has a picture for every third or fourth recipe.

The Low-Carbon Cookbook by Alejandra Schrader is a wonderful resource for anyone seeking to be a more conscious eater/consumer. It offers a huge variety of plant-based recipes, all of which look reasonably straightforward to make. The focus is on using fresh, seasonal, and regional ingredients. Beautiful pictures accompany many of the recipes. I found the most valuable aspect of the cookbook is all the information featured in the first part. I loved the tips on how to be more conscious of our consumption habits and reducing waste. I think about my consumption often when I see my overflowing trash can or see all the packaging at the grocery store. This is a fantastic resource!

Thank you DK / Alpha and NetGalley for providing this ARC.
