Really enjoyed this book! It was the first one for me to read by this author and I can't wait to read more! The characters stick with you long after the book is over.

Good as Dead was an enjoyable thriller. The book has several view points and timelines as it goes through the accident of how Holly's husband died and the repercussions of choosing money and hiding the person who committed the hit and run crime and its effects on Holly and her family as well as others around her as they unravel what is hiding in Holly's past.

Wow, what a read, a bit intense and possibly triggering for some, so I would take a moment and check if you do triggers. A bit dark, but delicious. Fast paced, tense, and unputdownable! Lots of fun twisty turns, thrilling thrills, chilling chills, and gasp worthy shocks! Very well written, with phenomenal character development, which I found extra important in this one with the various POV! Would highly recommend to those like me who love dark, disturbing, intense, and brutal reads!

Will buzz around platforms and use top Amazon reviewer on release!

This was a brilliant read about a hit and run tragedy told from the viewpoints of the characters involved. Kept me gripped the whole way through An excellent debut novel from the author.

Thank you for the opportunity to read this book via net galley. Enjoyable and easy to read, it held my interest all the way through. (For myself) mostly unique plot, a little predictable and over-sensational towards the end when Logans personality is revealed. I think this would make a really great TV drama.

Overall I enjoyed this book. Interesting story and definitely held my attention. I did have a bit of trouble keeping track what happened when and who was narrating as it jumped around a lot. I appreciated getting the story from different perspectives, but it was a bit hard to get lost in the story as I had to keep reminding myself who was talking and if it was in the past or present. The chapters were also pretty short, so that made it even more noticeable when there was a shift in perspective or time. I think the idea was there was a chapter with "Character Name, three months ago" and then the next chapter continued that character's narrative, but it would have been helpful to label the next one "character name, present day" instead of the next one being called "Chapter 2." If the narrative was tightened up a bit I would definitely increase to four stars!

I actually feel that sad sense of loss you get when you finish a really good book or tv series and realize you’ll never see the characters again. Each character was so well developed and lovable and although this wasn’t as face paced as the books I usually like, it was sooo good and had me totally consumed til the end. Will definitely be on the look out for the authors next one!

I just have one word for this book and that's Wow
What a read. It took me a while to get into this book but once i did i was hooked by Ms.Walter's writing and how she gave the characters an opportunity to tell their story which was amazing. This book had me pinning one person and did a complete switch when i least expected it.
It's safe to say this book will be entering into my Read's List and will be recommended till I'm told to hush up

Ever read a book and then wonder if you have maybe read it before? I felt that way about this book. But that didn't take away from how good it was. It's a fast pace thriller with lots of twists and turns and a surprise ending also!

Thank you to NetGalley and Lake Union Publishing for the ARC in exchange for my honest review.

I found this a very hard read, the writing was disjointed and sometimes prone to unnecessary detail.

Not for me.

Good as Dead is a solid, easy to read thriller. The characters and the decisions they have to make are relatable and believable, and you find yourself questioning what you would do if you were in their shoes. I found the story to be fast-paced (most of the time) and it held my attention well. I liked that it was told from multiple perspectives, although it did take me a while to remember/work out who was who. The ending was satisfactory and tied everything up well, with no loose ends.

I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author via NetGalley and this is my honest and voluntary review.

Holly's husband is killed in a hit and run. The guilty party comes through with a major offer, a new life for her and her daughter where they will want for nothing, all in exchange for their silence. This is too good to refuse, until others begin to notice something seems off.

This book was a fast read. I really enjoyed the plot and was able to read the story in a little over a day because I just could not walk away from it. I needed to know what happened. I really enjoyed the alternating point of view. It made the story seem more suspenseful.

I thorough enjoyed this fast-paced and gripping thriller! I loved how it bounced from one character’s viewpoint to another’s across two timelines. I liked the twist and it completely caught me off guard! The characters were so well written that I felt like I knew them myself. I’ll definitely be looking out for more from this author!

This was a fast paced thriller with an interesting premise. Holly Kendrick lost her husband in a car accident and is given the opportunity to keep quiet about it and in return will get the McMansion of her dreams in Calabasas plus a healthy allowance. She wants the best for her daughter Savannah - but it will come at a steep cost to live this lie. Deception is never good.
I like the multiple POVs and the short, quick chapters. I didn't find the "twists" be that surprising, though.
An entertaining read.

This was a fast paced crazy thriller! It was a book that kept me up way past my bedtime. The author is now an auto buy from me. I loved the alternating points of view and the excitement from every page. The ending I definitely did not see coming.

Wow! I won’t name the things I put off to finish this book. They are many. I dare you to get 6 chapters in (short, brief, telling chapters) and put it down. I couldn’t do it & don’t recall reading another book recently that let me so enthralled.

What a fun thriller!

Holly's husband is killed in front of her by a hit and run driver. While she is recovering at the hospital, her teenaged daughter makes a deal with a "fixer" - $5M for life, house paid for in exchange for not pursuing the hit and run driver.

Holly has a hard time adjusting to her new life and managing the guilt of this payout. Her daughter somewhat thrives and attracts a new boyfriend. Her fixer and neighbors intertwine with her new life in unexpected ways.

That's all i'm going to say because this was a fun ride and I don't want to give away any spoilers!
