A Hustler’s Queen: Reloaded by Saundra is the continuation of her urban lit success, A Hustler’s Queen, and picks up right where book one ended. This is not a standalone; read book one first.

Precious Cummings is a bonafide drug queenpin. She’s running things alone this time around.

A Hustler’s Queen: Reloaded is well-written, but is not written as a standalone. There is no backstory, so you need to read book one to get the full effect of book two. The female protagonist is strong and believable. The plot is compelling, though this book is paced a bit slower than the first one. I enjoyed this novel and give it 4 out of 5 stars if read in order, but only 3 out of 5 stars if it is attempted as a standalone. I still highly recommend it to all readers of urban/street literature.

My thanks to Kensington Books and NetGalley for the opportunity to read an advance copy of this book. However, the opinions expressed in this review are 100% mine and mine alone.

An OK read, probably more enjoyable if you like urban /street lit and I tend to be picky about it. I loved seeing a woman at the helm of business, both legit and not-so-legit and holding her own. However, aside for smatterings of action here and there this book read like a diary of a very busy woman that runs a gang. "I did this and went there and opened the shop and booked flights and bought product and gave assignments...." there wasn't much to tie events together. This book seems to end on a cliffhanger and I'm moderately interested in hearing about how things end up, at least to read spoilers... but I doubt that I will pick up the next in this series.

Wow!! I am speechless at the ending of this book! Talk about an adrenaline rush.

Precious finds herself stepping into the role of her boyfriend once he meets his demise. She is a Queen in every sense of the way. I found myself immensely proud of her character. She literally fears no one and family and loyalty is everything. But, when strange events start to happen and bodies come up missing Precious is truly tested.

The author did a great job with this storyline. I am not sure if there was a part before this read, but it can be read as a stand-alone. However, it ends with a cliffhanger . The series of events, the constant lies and backstabbing, and the plot-twist at the end was truly genius. This is the type of book that I enjoy reading and I inhaled this book until I completed it.

I received this book from NetGalley and the publisher in exchange for an honest review.
