This was an absolutely captivating story of friendship, love, and pursuing dreams. The plot was fascinating, well-paced, and intriguing to the very end! Oh my goodness! At first I was a little hesitant with this story because it is different than Traci Abramson's usual action/adventure/suspense but I couldn't be more thrilled with how good it is. This story is all romance and Traci Abramson does something right when writing. It doesn't matter if it is romance or suspense- based on the sports world or something completely different. She completely nails it.

The only thing I wish was different on this story was I would love an epilogue to see how Amaliya and Tyler end up. Do they make it to the olympics? Do they win? Does their relationship make it past the ups and downs that come with everything? Everything else in this story was amazing. I couldn't put it down.

This story is definitely swoon-worthy. I stayed up late reading it because I couldn't wait to see what happened. It is definitely a sweet romance that just flows. Traci Abramson did it again!

Truly magnificent. This beautiful book is artfully written, a contemporary romance that gives you insight into the worlds of ballet and figure skating. One of the things I enjoyed most were the characters, their depth and high values. They demonstrated the choice to take the high road often and it served them well. I can't recommend this enough. 5 stars!

I have mixed reviews on this.

The bad first..
First of all, I didn't pay attention to the year it takes place, or it wasn't mentioned, but it had some very older vibes with landlines, etc.
Secondly, in the beginning her family worried about money for things, but then later it turns out her home is this crazy mansion.
Third, it was super sappy. No real drama or anticipation.

The good
All that being said - I actually really enjoyed it. I read it all, and was really engrossed at times. It was sappy, but sweet, And an easy read. But every once in a while the above bad things would annoy me.

I liked Amaliya and Tyler both as characters. I feel at times I wish I would have seen more depth in Amaliya and her feelings with her parents accident and recoveries, but still really enjoyed this book. I would recommend it! I do feel a little unsatisfied about the ending. I want to know if they make it to the olympics!

This book was set in early 1982 before the social media and internet explosion. The plot centers around a young figure skater who has lost his partner (sister) to retirement and an aspiring ballet dancer who is also strong in ice skating due to her parents ( a retired pro hockey player/current coach and a former prima ballerina). Amilya and Tyler have a promising relationship but I found the many points of view in this book to be distracting. It wasn't always clear who was speaking because Amilya's mother also has a voice in this story. I enjoyed this book but didn't find it to be more than acceptable. I did find the ending to be very realistic though.

I absolutely devoured this book. I downloaded it in the evening and found myself looking forward to the book hangover I knew was coming. The minute I picked it up I was hooked. While this was a little different from the author's usual fare, it was just as enjoyable and well written.

Traci Hunter Abramson has a way with words that puts me in the middle of the story. I truly feel like a fly on the wall. Her characters are rich and robust to the point I feel like they could truly be people in my life and find myself missing them. This is a magnificent novel written by a master story teller. It took me away and gave me a lovely escape.

I found the descriptions to be amazing. I could just picture the setting and found myself wishing I was there. The characters had great chemistry and really had each other's backs. There were a couple stories happening that just made it all richer.

When I finished the book at about 1:30 in the morning, I felt myself longing for more. In fact, I can't wait until the next books in this series follow, at least I hope it is a series. I am not quite done with these characters and I would love to spend more time in this world of competitive figure skating.

Pro tip- don't start this in the evening.
