I don’t think that you can ever go wrong with a Hallmark book! Evelyn and Ryan were so sweet together and I was rooting for them the whole time! If you are looking for a lighthearted, sweet romance than this is definitely for you!

A Waterfront Wedding by Leigh Duncan is a delightful listen! I loved how the author wrote the story and had such great details that I could envision so many details. The small town charm and the sense of community helping each other to succeed was evident and prevailed. I found most all of the characters to be endearing. Karissa Vacker really brought the characters to life with her voice. She gave all the right emotions to the scenes. Thank you #NetGalley and #Dreamscape Media for letting me review this book. I loved it!

A clean entertaining hallmark romance. Evelyn and Ryan were both part of the small-town business life. Business life that evolve around the business of weddings. An enjoyable afternoon listen. Beautiful wedding romance from Leigh Duncan. Narrator Karissa Vacker gave life to the story with clarity, diction, and feeling when needed.

So, let's start off - I want to live in Heart's Landing. The picturesque town sounds so lovely. But, the review...

In this third book of the series, Evelyn wants the Captain's Cottage she is managing to be THE desitnation place for weddings. Then there is Ryan, former marine, and he has a location that he wants to be THE place. There is a contest that has been set up to see who gets the location. Called, Wedding in a Week, giving both of them exactly one week to create the perfect romantic wedding. Not only will the winner get the location, but as an article will be written up in a magazine, an influx of clients just might be had as well.

With a bride and groom on the scene, who will impress them more, Evelyn or Ryan? Just one winner. The contest is complicated by the powerful attraction to one another that they both seem powerless to resist. I loved listening to this engaging story and the narrator Karissa Vacker did a fine job, which made a wonderful story that much better.

What a delightful story! I loved everything there was about this book.

Many thanks to Hallmark Publishing and to NetGalley for this ARC for review. This is my honest opinion.

This is an easy listen and sweet romance. Pretty much what you expect from Hallmark. My rating 4.25.

Heart’s Landing is a premier wedding destination. Evelyn is a bookkeeper for the family business at the Captain’s Cottage, a longtime favorite for weddings. Evelyn is filling in for her brother, the top manager, and wants to prove she can handle the management while he is on his honeymoon. Now Evelyn is in the competition for the Captain’s Cottage to be picked in the prestigious Wedding in a Week Contest.

Ryan has just finished remodeling the town’s old boatworks into a wedding venue on the water. He is surprised to learn that someone put his brand new location into the Wedding in a Week Contest. If his new building is picked by the winning couple, his business will be made.

Ryan was the childhood friend of Evelyn’s older brother. She always tried to tag along with the two guys and as she grew, she had a crush on Ryan. Although Ryan was kind when they were young, as they got into high school he seemed to avoid her. Now they are thrown together as they play guide to the Marine and his bride who are the winning couple in the all-expenses-paid Wedding in a Week contest. The various vendors in Heart’s Landing are thrilled to participate, even as Evelyn and Ryan experience a cautious attraction while anticipating that their venue will be selected.

Evelyn has some confidence and control issues that I found frustrating. Still, I enjoyed the rivalry between Evelyn and Ryan, and the various wedding details were fun to follow. The wedding couple had their own pre-wedding jitters and issues that needed some soothing. Of course, this is a Hallmark Romance so I was glad to have the expected HEA ending. I recommend this to readers who enjoy an easy read and sweet, “Hallmark” romance.

Audio Notes: Karissa Vacker does a very good job with the narration. She provides distinct voices and fitting emotional delivery. The narration enhanced my enjoyment of the story.

A Waterfront Wedding is a CUTE book that put me back in my wedding planning mood. It is the perfect book for someone that is engaged to listen to. I'm not surprised that it is a Hallmark book because it would make a great feel good Hallmark movie. For an engaged woman, it is nice listening to a couple have unexpected issues come up when wedding planning (I mean they are planning an entire wedding in a week, OF COURSE there's going to be issues). Heart's Landing is a cute wedding themed town and I love that the whole town has rallied around the industry. The cheese factor of this book is 10/10 but it will put you in a great mood, if you need something up lifting.

Oh my goodness! This was so stinking cute! That is what I kept thinking as I was listening to this. I kept thinking I was listening to a Hallmark movie and low and behold it was a Hallmark release! Evelyn is a bookkeeper for Captain's Cottage, her cousin's resort, and Ryan who is Jason's best friend, has come home and refurbished the boatworks and made it into a wedding destination. Now both venues are competing for Wedding In A Week. So much fun in this story surrounding these two and the happy couple who want a military wedding. Will Evelyn and Ryan who are slowly becoming acquainted again survive the competition when one wins the wedding?

I was new to Hart’s Landing but I grew to deeply love this special town. What a quaint and charming notion of a town dedicated entirely to weddings! Evelyn was a great character who loved Ryan but didn’t compromise herself and her ambition for Ryan. I may have to go back and read the first book!

Heart's Landing is the perfect spot to have a wedding, but there is only one main venue, The Captain's Cottage. Ryan Court, who used to live in Heart's Landing years ago, has returned home. He purchased an abandoned boat factory and is turning it into an event venue called The Boat Works. When the winners of Wedding Today’s Wedding in a Week annual contest, Briana Smith and Private First-Class Daniel Johnston arrive in Heart's Landing, they have a lot of decisions to make, including which venue they want to have their wedding at. Ryan is quite surprised by the selection of The Boat Works since he did not even enter into the competition, because he was concerned that it might not be ready in time and did not have the entrance fee, but he really wants to hold this wedding there. Fortunately the magic of Heart's Landing is in play because there seems to be one issue and disaster after another to derail the wedding. While all this is going on, Evelyn, Jason's cousin and co-owner of The Captain's Cottage is falling in love with Ryan, the boy she loved in high school. Can competitors have a relationship?

Once again, I enjoyed the characters in this book. Leigh Duncan writes wonderful stories with great characters, setting and plots. This is the third book in this series and I have enjoyed them all. If you like a fun, clean romance with some angst, then I recommend you pick this one up. These books do not need to be read in order, but I recommend you do as they are all quite enjoyable. The audiobook was narrated by Karissa Vacker. She has narrated all three of the books in this series and has done a good job. She has a pleasant voice, great expression and tone. The male voices are differentiated using tone and inflection, but they are not as male sounding as I would like. Overall, this was an enjoyable audiobook that I recommend.

A Waterfront Wedding is the 3rd book in the Heart Landing Series, I have not read the first two books but I had no problem reading this as a stand-alone.

Heart's Landing is the perfect place to get married. Evelyn's cousin is counting on her to keep things running smoothly at the Captain's Cottage while he is on his honeymoon. That includes convincing the winning Wedding in a Week couple to choose their venue, to get married at. Ryan, one of Evelyn's childhood friends, has spent the last year fixing up the old Boat Works to become the town's only waterfront wedding venue. He really needs the coverage that would come with being featured in the Wedding in a Week article so that his new business will be successful. They are asked to mentor the young couple chosen to win the Wedding in a Week. Evelyn and Ryan find themselves as business rivals and in a competition to see whose location the bride and groom will choose.

I listened to the audiobook version of A Waterfront Wedding and the narrator, Karissa Vacker, did a fabulous job of doing both the female and the male voices. It is a delightful hallmark story that was quick and fun to listen to. #NetGalley #Hallmark

Loved this book. Wish there were more. Kept me spellbound throughout. Could not wait to see how it ended. Author could have kept my interest for another 500 pages. Hoping for more!

A Waterfront Wedding by Leigh Duncan, is a second chance love story that takes place at popular wedding destination, Hart’s Landing.
Two possible venues for a wedding are competing to be the chosen site of the Wedding of the Week winners.

We spend time getting to know the bride and groom as they prepare for the wedding. And we see Evelyn and Ryan, from the two competing venues, connect and realize their feelings for each other.

As always, Hallmark delivers a sweet story about love and friendship. The audiobook narration by Karissa Vacker was charming and added even more heart to the story.

Thanks to NetGalley and Dreamscape Media for the opportunity to listen to the audiobook in exchange for an honest review.

I received the audiobook ARC for A Waterfront Wedding by Leigh Duncan from NetGalley. Evelyn works at the Captain's Cottage where so many weddings have taken place. Now with Ryan coming back to town and renovating the boatworks there may be some competition. Put these two together in the Wedding in a Week contest to see who the bride and groom will choose for their perfect union and you will soon see love blooming in other places. I enjoyed this story and could definitely watch a made for TV movie of it.

This was such a fun book! I’ve been wanting to read a hallmark book ever since I found out they were starting to publish and this book didn’t disappoint. It was sweet and fun and a bit predictable but that’s part of the hallmark charm! I’m excited to read more hallmark books and the previous books in this series.

I just love Hallmark books, just like I love the movies. It is so wonderful to pick up a book and just know that there is going to be a happily ever after. This book, like all other Hallmark projects, is wholesome and romantic. There are not any sexual scenes or even innuendos.

The Waterfront Wedding was so heartwarming. Evelyn and Ryan are childhood friends who went different ways for many years but are tossed together by a competition in their adorable Rhode Island town. I actually used to live in RI and enjoyed the descriptions of the beautiful state.

I listened to the audiobook and enjoyed the narration.

I would recommend this to romance lovers. I love that I can recommend this book to any age group with out the discomfort of there being too sexy.

Thank you, NetGalley for the opportunity to listen to the audio version.,

A Waterfront Wedding (Heart’s Landing #3) by Leigh Duncan, narrated by Karissa Vacker

Evelyn is filling in for her cousin, running The Captain’s Cottage, the premier wedding venue in Heart’s Landing, and her childhood friend and old flame, Ryan, has recently renovated the town’s old boatworks into a beautiful, brand new wedding spot. Now the two are competing for who will host the couple who are the winners of the “Wedding in a Week” contest, run by a well know bridal magazine.

Heart’s Landing is a town totally dedicated to making weddings perfect, even to the point of the names of businesses (I Do Cakes, Forget-me-not Flowers) and even the streets have wedding themed names! Following the story of the lucky couple, and how the contest works is fun in itself, but then there’s the romantic feelings that are returning for Evelyn and Ryan as well.

This heartwarming gentle read would make an excellent Hallmark movie (in fact, the series could be used to make a string of them), and I was busy casting the characters as I listened to the audiobook.

Pleasantly predictable and an easy listen. Great book for summer, especially if you are lucky enough to be on the water front! Hits all the romance requirements.

I listened to the audio book version of A Waterfront Wedding and was very impressed! First of all, the narrator, Karissa Vacker, did a fabulous job of doing both the female and the male voices. I had to double check to make sure that this wasn’t a male/female team doing the narration. Very nice!

The story was sweet and such a joy to listen to. Even though this is book three in the Heart’s Landing series, I had no trouble jumping in and getting to know the town that was so full of romantic history and the people who were eager to present each bride with her perfect wedding day.

I loved listening as Evelyn and Ryan got their chance at love while working to make the bride and groom’s dreams come true. Childhood friends who drifted apart, Evelyn and Ryan were very likable characters. It was interesting to watch them work together while they also both hoped that their venue would be chosen as the wedding location for the contest. They had good romantic chemistry.

This story left me with a happy and uplifted feeling and I felt as if I had truly journeyed to this special small town on the coast.

(4.5 stars)
