I want to thank the author and Netgalley for gifting me the audio version. This book is a very easy read. Perfect for someone who just wants to sit down with a cosy story. If you love hallmark movies then this is the perfect story plot for you. The narrator did a great job.

This would make a perfect movie for the Hallmark Channel. I want to visit the town of Heart's Landing. No wonder couples flock there for the perfect wedding. It takes a lot of courage for Ryan to open his own wedding destination in Heart's Landing because 1). He did not go into business with his dad and brothers and 2). He is going to be in competition with the Captain's Cottage - the premiere wedding destination in town. When a magazine contest pits the two locations against each other Ryan can only hope his all in investment has been enough to win the competition. Evelyn manages the Captain's Cottage and Ryan has loved her from afar since high school. Can he be in competition against her and still remain "friends". Can they move beyond friends to something more. Beautifully written, heartwarming story. The narrator Karissa Vacker is excellent.
Thank you to NetGalley and Hallmark Publishing for this advanced audio review copy. In return, I am submitting my unbiased and voluntary review. All opinions and thoughts are my own.

I really loved this story. It is the perfect Hallmark romance. This is the third story in the Heart's Landing series, and although I've never read the first two, I didn't feel lost. I do want to read the others though. I just adored the small town Heart's Landing. The characters were very likeable and I loved the "wedding in a week" idea in this story. I would love to see this book as a Hallmark movie!

A Waterfront Wedding, written by Leigh Duncan, is a lovely second chance story set in the fictional Hart’s Landing, the destination wedding capital of today. With the Wedding in a Week contest, sponsored by Weddings Today magazine, upon the seaside town, it is the Captain’s Cottage, with much history and a very romantic tale of the captain and his love, versus The Boat Works, newly christened Harbor View Weddings, that contend for the honored site of this celebrated wedding.

Brianna and Daniel are the lucky couple that has won this once in a lifetime opportunity. Representing the Captain’s Cottage is descendent Evelyn Hart, and for Harbor View is local visionary and restoration carpenter, Ryan Court. As children, Ryan and Evelyn’s older cousin, Jason, were best of friends, as they are today. Evelyn was always the tagalong, the afterthought, and this still rankles her even as she carries on for her honeymooning cousin.

However, the main thing is the winning couple. He is a young marine. She is a somewhat recently orphaned young woman. They are both from central Florida, which might as well be a million miles from this coastal town in Rhode Island. As they are in this circumstance and working on their own, it is suggested that Evelyn and Ryan serve as companions to the young couple. As they do, not only are they extra supportive of these young people, but they also realize the depth of their own connection.

With the many trials of putting together such a high profile wedding, coupled with family illness and an extreme weather event, can Evelyn and Ryan actually pull off both a wonderful wedding and an awesome beginning for themselves?

I very much enjoyed this audiobook, the wonderful narration by Karissa Vacker, and I do recommend it!

This was a super cute/ movie-esk book! I was pleasantly surprised as it wasn’t as cheesy as I thought it would be. I loved the story line and the characters it kept me always wanting more. It was a little slow at first but once it picked up and kept me interested! Highly recommend for a light read.

If this story seems like a Hallmark movie it could be because it is published from Hallmark Publishing. The story follows the same formula of the Hallmark movies. Two people with history are thrown back together against their better judgement. They fall in love and then have a falling out but at the end they find their happily ever after.
This is book 3 of a 3 book series and I had not read the other two and there was no feeling of missing some details. So I'm sure the other two stories would have added details this book can be read as a stand alone.
Heart's Landing is every brides idea of a perfect wedding location. Every year they hold a Wedding In A Week contest sponsored by the local vendors. This year the contest will pit the long time favorite venue against the new kid on the block. Evelyn, the representative for the cottage, has a history with the Ryan, the new kid. Will the competition keep them from the real reward at the end, each other?

This was definitely a slow burn romance and just what you would expect from a Hallmark publishing book or movie. I would love to see this book made into a movie, if only to see Ryan and Evelyn come to life. A Waterfront Wedding is a wonderful story of two people who have always wanted to be together but miscommunications and time has kept them apart. I always love stories that have the characters start out as friends who reconnect.
Ryan has spent the last year renovating a property in his hometown so he can have weddings on the waterfront. His hometown is known for having the most beautiful weddings and providing the best experiences for brides. He wants to give them another option besides the one everyone chooses. He just didn't expect it to come at the hands of a competition within a week's time.
Evelyn works for Ryan's competition, but they used to be the best of friends. She is at a crossroads because she knows when her cousin and wife get back from their honeymoon she won't have as much to do at her job. She also knows that she won't be happy being pushed to the background. As the competition heats up, they both get put in charge of the bride and groom. They need to shadow them and help them as much as possible.
As they get to work on the wedding for the young couple, they realize that they misjudged each other and start talking to each other. More importantly, they realize that the feelings they had for each other all those years ago are still there, but they are competing. Could a relationship be possible? With one thing after another happening to the young couple, Ryan and Evelyn have to work together to make their dreams come true. Unfortunately when the young couple makes their decision on the location of the wedding, one of them gets upset. Then, another tragedy happens and the other might take it too personally. Will they be able to overcome the obstacles in their way?
Both characters were strong in their own way, but needed support at others. They were even better when working together, but they needed a little help realizing it. A wonderful book about two people who were close, then had a falling out, and finding a way to find their happiness. I received an ARC in exchange for an honest, voluntary review.

This book is part of a series but I had no idea and it was still a great read!! The main characters are just good sweet people but their back and forth insecurity and lack of communication is annoying at times! However, this was a fun easy happy feeling read that I enjoyed!! Thanks Net galley for the ARC!!

A very enjoyable clean, wholesome romance. The audio was very well done! I liked the general plot with the competition between hero and heroine and their respective wedding venues. Lots of great side characters, including the engaged couple from the competition.

A Waterfront Wedding by Leigh Duncan. I read the ebook along with the audiobook. I absolutely loved this book. A “perfect wedding for every couple” with listening to this book and reading the ebook. I felt like I was right there I loved the descriptions especially the description of Daniels and Brianna wedding with the lanterns and the horse drawn carriage ride. So romantic. Read the story or listen to the book you will love it.

A great, sweet, summer-time romance, perfect for any beach read. All the romantic chemistry is endearing, and I love the patriotic play with the military wedding. The maritime descriptions made me want to travel the coast and experience it for myself. I particularly enjoyed the romantic history of Evelyn’s ancestors and how the Captain’s Cottage to be so popular. Ryan has a lot to come up against while establishing his new business, but I love how Hallmark stories leave out the dog-eat-dog world and focus on the good side of humanity, those who are still willing to make sacrifices to help one another out because they really do care about each other. Small town characters pepper the story and add the perfect touches without being fillers. I enjoyed the personal touches the narrator provides as she brings each and every character to life. I received a copy from the publisher and all opinions expressed are my own, freely given.

I received this book from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review,

A perfect wedding for every bride.

That's the motto of Heart's Landing and Evelyn is determined to make sure the town lives up to the reputation, especially since she represents the town's most popular wedding venue, The Captain's Cottage. With the entire town catering to a couple who have won an all-expense-paid trip to Heart's Landing, Evelyn is sure they would choose the Captain's Cottage as their wedding venue. It all seems set until Ryan shows up with a new wedding venue that could very well rival The Captain's Cottage.

When Evelyn and Ryan are thrown together to help the engaged couple, sparks fly between the two of them.

This book is appropriate for all ages and highly recommended by me.

Synopsis:

Ryan and Evelyn are thrust into a competition against one another while having to work together as well. They grew up in the same small town together and had crushes on one another but never knew it.

In this rivalries turned lovers romance you get to experience a charming town that is there for one another. The whole town is centered around weddings from the shoes and dresses to the venue to flowers. Everyone seems to have something to bring to the table to make this town an ideal wedding destination.

This is why their are chosen for the competition destination. They must compete to see who will get to host a wedding that will be the feature story. Things are not that easy and the wedding couple have some struggles of their own to get through and Ryan and Evelyn are assigned to be there for them, whatever they need. This is where they are able to remember the long lost feelings they once had. But will they be able to get through competition results without destroying what they are just starting?

Review:

This was a cute romance of childhood crushes finding out they had a thing for one another way back when and never knew it. After reconnecting their feelings for one another are still there but they also are pitted against one another which creates some tension. The story itself was good but there were a few part that irritated me. When two grown folks can’t seem to get control of their emotions that they refuse to tell the other of their feelings and there are parts of the story where the wedding couple are going to leave each other because he’s going to be shipped off sooner than expected. This is childish crap that makes me think people shouldn’t be getting married and doesn’t appeal to me in a romance. I know it created tension between the oh-so-perfectly in love couple but I don’t think it was good. Aside from my issue of the tension causing scenes and the childish attitudes portrayed by adult in the book, this was a pretty good, quick read.

My favorite part of the book was the setting and vibe even though I could have gone for descriptions.

I know there are some who like the things I disliked about the book and I would suggest you read it if you are thinking I’m crazy for having those opinions because you love those things. Go read it! It is a pretty average book for me but it may well be your next favorite.

The third book in the Heart’s Landing series, and it did not disappoint! A Waterfront Wedding by Leigh Duncan took me back to Hearts Landing for another beautiful wedding and some new romance.

The quaint town of Heart’s Landing is easily pictured with Duncan’s super descriptive and lyrical writing. In this book we are introduced to Evelyn and Ryan. They are both competing to have their venue as the host of the Wedding in a Week contest winners. They grew up together but drifted apart, and I love when people get a second change at love. I also enjoyed the military wedding.

While I have read all of the books to date and in order, Duncan does an incredible job of rehashing anything that a new reader to the series would need to know. Just like the rest of the books in the series, it can be read as a standalone or as part of the series.

The narrated version of this book was great. Karissa Vacker does an amazing job with her voices and emotions throughout the entire story.

Unlike many series, every single one of these books has been featured on my blog and Instagram. They are just so beautiful written and stand out among their companions. I REALLY hope that Hallmark will make all of these into movies. Also, it has been a year since I read the first one and about nine months since the second one, but this one may be my favourite in the series.

I received an eARC from Hallmark Publishing and an advanced audiobook copy from Dreamscape Media through NetGalley. All opinions are 100% my own.

I listened to the audio version of this book. This is a sweet, clean romance based around a town that is a huge wedding destination. Evelyn works for a wedding venue that has been the big dog in town for years. Now her brother's best friend is back in town and renovating a rundown place to be another wedding venue. Every year a major bridal magazine puts on a "Wedding in a Week" in which one deserving couple is given the chance to pick all the things for their wedding, including the venue, and given a free wedding in one week. Both Evelyn and Ryan are hoping that their venues are chosen and will be featured in the magazine.

This second chance trope was a little hard for me to get invested in at the beginning. They are attracted to each other, but it just doesn't go anywhere for quite awhile. The description of all the wedding choices were awesome (can I please have some wedding cake?) and the problems that arouse between the bride and groom added to the story. It got better for me later in the book when Evelyn and Ryan were actually starting to let their attraction show. Overall, a cute Hallmark story.

I was given a complimentary copy of this audio via Dreamscape Media and NetGalley.

If you like hallmark movies, you’ll probably enjoy this book! This is part of series, but is mostly stand alone. I’m just that crazy person who likes to read them in order and likes the extra backstory🙃

Evelyn and Ryan grew up together, but grew apart as they got older. Ryan bought and renovated a waterfront property to make into a wedding venue, which kinda competes with Evelyn’s family owned venue. The two get pushed together to give a deserving bride and groom the perfect wedding in a week. But only once venue will get picked, will it tear them apart?

I wouldn’t call this second chance romance (but it kinda is) and I wouldn’t call it friends to lovers (but it kinda is)? This book was really easy and quick to listen to and I think it could make a cute hallmark movie! The timeline of the book is short, so when they started talking about love...it seemed a little too quick when they really didn’t know who they were now. This kinda ruined the ending for me, not going to lie, but it was a good book to listen to while I was in the lab doing science-y things!

I received an audio ARC of this book through NetGalley in exchange for my unbiased opinion.

Evelyn's cousin is counting on her to keep things running smoothly at the Captain's Cottage while he is on his honeymoon. That includes convincing the winning Wedding in a Week couple to choose their venue, the top wedding venue in Heart's Landing, to get married at. Meanwhile, Ryan has spent the past year fixing up the old Boat Works to become the town's only water-front wedding venue. He really needs the coverage that would come with being featured in the Wedding in a Week article so that his new business will be a success. Evelyn and Ryan were friends as children but grew apart after going to middle school. When they are asked to mentor the young couple chosen to win the Wedding in a Week, Evelyn and Ryan have the chance to reconnect and figure out if they could be friends – or more – while they are also business rivals.

The Hallmark books never let me down; they are the clean, wholesome romances that anyone who has watched a Hallmark movie knows to expect from the brand. Karissa Vecker did a wonderful job narrating the audiobook. I have not read the first two books in the Heart's Landing series, but this book can easily be read as a standalone. I recommend this book to those who like predictable, sweet romances and weddings.

I enjoyed reading A Waterfront Wedding. Even though I have not read other books in this series, it was just fine as a standalone story. For me, reading A Waterfront Wedding was much like watching a Hallmark Movie love story. All the right ingredients were there.

The wedding venue contest was fun. And the relationship (past and present) between the main characters was quite engaging. All in all, I found A Waterfront Wedding to be an enjoyable story with a satisfying ending.
