Predictable but charming love story--I haven't read the previous two books in the Heart's Landing series but there was no need. I wasn't invested enough to want to read more but it was a good "escape" book. Appealing characters and setting--good choice if looking for something mindless and sweet.

I had read the first two books in this series so I was excited when I was able to have access to this ARC. I adore this series and this latest book does not disappoint. If you want a good, wholesome (think Hallmark movies) book that has a HEA, then this is your book.

Everyone knows that Heart's Landing is the premiere wedding destination in the US. Once a year there is a contest that allows a bride and groom to have a free wedding within the city of Heart's Landing. All the bride and groom have to do is pick out everything that has already been narrowed down to a list of 3 - wedding venues, flowers, food, table arrangements, wedding dress, tuxedos, etc. This story revolves around Ryan and Evelyn. Evelyn is filling in for her cousin Jason (who is on his honeymoon from the story in book 2) managing his wedding venue, which happens to be the premiere wedding venue in town. Ryan, who is also Jason's best friend, purchased an old boat house and spent a year remodeling it with dreams of it becoming a premier wedding venue. They are the final two wedding venues for the lucky couple (the 3rd had to bow out after lightning struck a tree and it can't be repaired in time). Of course, Ryan & Evelyn grew up together but since Ryan is two years older, she assumed Ryan didn't like her once she hit high school. In actuality, Ryan asked Evelyn to the homecoming dance when she was a freshman, but she didn't hear him and she was rehearsing a play leaving him with the impression she didn't want to go out with him. That couldn't be further from the truth - she has always had a crush on Ryan.

Which venue will win? Will the decision come between Ryan & Evelyn or can they start a relationship themselves? I enjoyed this book - grab a copy once it comes out.

I received an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review. The opinions stated above are mine without biases.

Evelyn is running her cousin's business while her cousin is on his honeymoon. With a contest, she finds herself competing for the business to be the setting for A Wedding in a Week against her high school crush, Ryan. Though years have passed since high school, she still feels attracted to her.
Ryan still has feelings for his best friend's cousin. After she turned him down cold in high school, he is trying to protect his heart. Being forced together in the midst of the contest makes it hard to protect his feelings.
Opinion
I listened to the audiobook. The narrator was a soft spoken woman and was absolutely perfect for this book. The MC's guiding voice for weddings would most certainly be more soft spoken, at least when it comes to dealing with the bride and groom.
The story itself was a sweet. It was fitting for a book built around a wedding. This is the perfect beach read.
Many thanks to Net Galley for providing me with an ARC of this audiobook.

Thank you NetGalley and Dreamscape media for an advanced listening copy in exchange for an honest review.

A Waterfront Wedding is a very cute, romance read that centers around a town that exists for the purpose of weddings. It's a popular wedding destination and everyone in the community is dedicated to making every wedding perfect. The focus is on a special "wedding in a week" event that's sponsored by a popular wedding magazine, where a chosen couple gets a perfect and free wedding, with all the chosen businesses getting important coverage for their business. The main focus is on a slight competition between the long-time favorite wedding venue and a new venue in town - and the budding relationship from the owner of the new venue and the interim wedding host at the most popular spot.

I really enjoyed this easy and light read, which is a good option if you're looking for a fun and low pressure storyline. The steam level is very low on this one, which makes it a perfect read for someone who enjoys cute over hot romances.

I listened to this book on audio and thought the narrator did a great job.

This is the third book in this series. All 3 have the same sweet, romantic feel to them. It is well written and you find yourself really rooting for the characters and wanting things to work out for them, much like with a Hallmark movie! Definitely read this if you are looking for a quick, feel good book. The narrator has a nice voice that is soothing and fits perfectly with what you except from Hallmark protagonists.

Audiobook, narrated by Karissa Vacker. She did a great job and I highly recommend listening to this.
This was a delightful, fun, perfect world, clean romance. This beautiful historic town is known for its charming shops and wedding venue. The whole town was a happily ever after dream come true. I wish my husband and I could visit this place, we’d honestly probably move there. If Hallmark was a place then it would here.
The story is about a magazine picking one engaged couple who win a free wedding with all the perks. They are lead through every step and it was every brides dream.
Some of my friends would call this cheesy but I like to think of it has a perfect world scenario.
Thanks to Dreamscape Media via Netgalley for this. I’m voluntarily leaving my review.

Reviewing
A Waterfront Wedding
By Leigh Duncan

In book three of Duncan’s romantic series we head back to Heart’s Landing where love is always in the air. In a Waterfront Wedding we get a front row seat to the whirlwind “wedding in a week” event. The real story blossoms when Evelyn Hart and Ryan Court are pulled together by this event after years apart.

Relatable characters, a beautiful setting and a fun twist on the enemies to friends to lovers trope keeps a smile on the readers face and butterflies in their belly. Exactly what we have come to expect from Leigh Duncan as an author and the happy hallmark book and movie brand.

I would recommend this clean, sweet, romance to any hallmark loving book worm looking for a wedding focused read.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 4 stars with a PG rating

In this audiobook, we are back in Heart’s Landing with another clean, sweet, and touching romance in this always enjoyable series.
This time the story centers around Evelyn Hart and Ryan Court whose lives will be turned upside down by a wedding.
While her cousin Jason is one his honeymoon, she is managing the place to have a wedding, Captain’s Cottage. But now there is new competition in town, Ryan and his new venue, Boat Works.
When a magazine runs a “Wedding in a Week” contest for engaged couples things heat up. The winning couple will then select the location of their wedding and reception. As time progresses their childhood friendship blossoms and deeper feelings develop.
Who will win in the end? The reader, for sure.
As usual, this author never disappoints us.
