I was so lucky to receive an advance copy of this book from my all time favorite author through NetGalley in exchange for my honest review and opinion. Mary Kay Andrews is on my list of must reads every single spring and I was so excited to see she had TWO books coming out in 2021! Some good things did come out of the pandemic! This book was so fun to read and it was light hearted with just enough romance and intrigue to keep it interesting. Stop everything you are doing and go get this book. I promise you will NOT be disappointed! While you are at it get all of her other books too as you will absolutely love everything about her and her writing style. Thank you so much for the opportunity to read this!

This is a delightful novella that you will not want to miss. It is a must read for the holidays.

The author, Mary Kay Andrews, brings us a heart-warming holiday novella, centering around a note found in the pocket of a Santa Suit found in the closet of a house that Ivy Perkins has purchased. We meet many interesting people throughout the book. I was so surprised at how the book progressed that I felt this was one of the best holiday stories I have read. It was a beautiful progression.

I highly recommend this book. Thanks to St. Martin’s Press and NetGalley for the advanced reader’s copy.

With a title like "The Santa Suit," one expects a Christmas story/plot. And while the holidays are certainly an integral part of this novel, they are a side show to the enjoyable story of a woman who moves away from everything she knows, and the trials and tribulations she faces. Along the way, there are multiple subplots that enhance the reader's interest. Just another wonderful Mary Kay Andrews book!!

The perfect Christmas novel! The NetGalley site indicates that this is a novella at 224 pages. (The advance read copy was reviewed, so its possible that the released book may be embellished; personally I wouldn't change a thing!)

As a result of her recent divorce, Ivy buys an old farmhouse based on internet pictures. She didn't realize that there would be so much stuff left behind. Ivy integrates her new life into the town at the holidays. I don't want to provide any spoilers, but this was just a wonderful read.

Thank you to NetGalley for the opportunity to review the advance read copy of The Santa Suit by Mary Kay Andrews and also to the publisher . Publication date is 28 Sept 2021, just in time for the holidays!

While it was different to read a winter book in summer, I really enjoyed the story and the characters. I loved the small town feel with the chickens and the farmhouse.

This novella was really cute but way too short! Looking forward to the next offering from Mary Kay Andrews. Thanks to the publisher for reaching out and offering to share this book.

When Ivy Perkins buys a farmhouse, sight unseen, on the internet, she gets more than she bargained for in terms of a "fixer-upper" but what she uncovers as she settles into her new community will warm your heart!

A perfect novella for the Christmas season, The Santa Suit is perhaps sometimes predictable, but fulfilling nonetheless. Mary Kay Andrews can always tell a great story and this little book is no exception.

Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the ARC!

Thank you NetGalley for the advanced copy.
This is a very Hallmark feeling book..short, fun, easy, and gives you happy feelings kinda book.

When Ivy gets divorced, after her husband cheats on her with a good friend/customer, and looses her high end business, she decides to buy an old farm in a cute quant town. She discovers herself, her happiness, her relationships, and her Christmas spirit throughout the story.
Not a lot of depth in this book but sometimes that’s all you need in life..a feel-good book that makes you appreciate holiday charm, falling apart and rediscovering yourself in the most unlikely moments, and falling in love.

A delightful and heartwarming Christmas novella perfect for the holiday season. Following her divorce, Ivy Perkins moves into an old farmhouse to start a new life in a new town. When she discovers a Santa suit with a special letter hidden in the pocket, she sets out to find out what happened to the family of the little girl who wrote the letter long ago. As Ivy settles into her new town and unthreads the mystery of the letter and the Santa suit, she opens up her home and her heart to new friendships and new love.

The characters are endearing and I enjoyed how Ivy’s new friendships and her relationship with Ezra developed over the course of the book. I like how everything came together in a lovely surprise ending. This is a charming story and would make a great Hallmark holiday movie. Thank you very much to St. Martin’s Press and NetGalley for this ARC.

This is the story of a magical Santa suit and new beginnings. Ivy arrived at her newly purchased farm house with her dog Punkin and 4 chickens. But she was not prepared for the sight she saw before her. At first glance the farmhouse looked unloved and run down. With the help of some new friends and a very friendly real estate agent that rundown farmhouse becomes a home. With one apparent disaster after another, her furniture is destroyed, broken drafty windows, and broken hot water heater; Ivy manages to make this little house her home. She also helped many of the townspeople along the way. But it is the magic of the Santa suit that the is main character of the story and helps unlock a mystery from the past.
This is the perfect story to put you in the Christmas spirit. It is told with all the sweet Southern charm that Ms Andrews adds to all her stories. And there's even snow!

This book was a quick, easy, comfortable, Christmas magic read.
Ivy fresh from her divorce and loss of her job, buys a so called farm house sight unseen. When she arrives it is more of a fixer upper, however the house has a lot of love within the walls and if is known as the Christmas Light House by the locals.
Her realtor, neighbor, and handyman Ezra is not hard on the eyes either.
Discovering the Christmas magic to this house is more than Ivy thought and exactly what she needs !
A great read, that is not to be missed!

This is a sweet book filled with magic, love, deception, loss, restoration, delicious fudge, a village of unique characters, and an old house that literally lights up the neighborhood. Lots of different threads to follow as the story progresses until all is set aright at Christmas time, as it should be.

Such a wonderful, feel good story of Christmas miracles. When a young divorced woman buys an old fixer upper that used to be known as a popular Christmas house in a small, quaint town, it seems like everything is going wrong, which turns out to be further from the truth. I love Mary Kay Andrews books, and am very grateful for this advanced copy through Netgalley!

A fun, sweet holiday story with a lot of heart, humor and a small mystery. Reminded me a little bit of Andrews's Weezie and Bebe mystery series, not because of the mystery but because of the wonderful, downhome, related characters. Newly divorced Ivy Perkins buys an old farmhouse and moves to a new city. She finds an old Santa Suit among the belongings left behind an old letter to Santa in the pocket of the suit. She sets out to find more about the family and makes some new friends in the process.

This story was heartwarming and simply delightful! Ivy Perkins is divorced and moves into an old farmhouse she bought unseen online. While clearing out some stuff she comes across a lett written to Santa by a little girl. The letter touched her and she decides to look into it. She quickly makes new friends and makes progress in finding the little girl. I love this author and all her books and this one did not disappoint!
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

What a cute book this was! I loved every ounce of this book! It was so heart-felt and perfect for the Holiday season, despite not reading it then.
We begin the book with Ivy discovering her new farmhouse along with her dog, Punkin, as she bought it after her divorce without seeing it. Can you imagine? An investment that large without ever even seeing it? Boy, did Ivy get more than she bargained for! A handyman that lives "next door", who doubles as her realtor, a community to support her and not just a house, but a home.
This was such a feel good story. I loved the nostalgia and the community camaraderie in this book. The discovery of all of the nostalgic items was so sweet. Mary Kay Andrews simply has done it again! She keeps throwing me curveballs.

I received a free ARC through Netgalley.
I wasn't sure I was in the mood to read a holiday story at the start of summer, but this was a lovely story about Ivy who is getting a fresh start after a messy divorce by buying a 106-year-old farmhouse that she's only seen online. Who hasn't thought about chucking everything and starting over from scratch in a new town? A delightful story about self-discovery and a little romance to get her over her ex-husband. It was sweet enough to make me tear up a time or two, but wasn't too mushy.
