Thank you Netgalley for allowing me to read and review “The Santa Suit”. I loved it, it was such a sweet story. There were many pieces to a puzzle in this story that all came together and fit so well. Mary Kay Andrew’s has now become one of my favorite authors and I can’t wait to read more of her books.

What a fun holiday read! I read several holiday books this season and this was by far my favorite. Ivy is newly divorced and buys a rural farmhouse sight unseen. When she arrives, she realized that there may be more work required on the house than she anticipated. But her good looking realtor is there for her. as she gets settled into her new house. She discovers that the house belonged to a family who loved Christmas. They even dressed as Santa and Mrs. Claus and granted wishes to the children in the town. Ivy makes a few friends and gets involved in the small town and as Christmas time arrives, she is swept up in the feel of the season. This was lighthearted and sentimental and you cheer Ivy along the whole way!

This was the perfect cozy holiday read. The story was cute with a little holiday magic, some fun friends and just enough romance. I highly suggest it!

Ivy Perkins is trying to put her life back together after her divorce. She lost her husband, her best friend, and her business in the divorce. So what is a girl to do? She leaves Atlanta for the countryside and buys an old farmhouse, sight unseen. The farmhouse turns out to need more work than she was expecting, but thankfully her handsome real estate agent, Ezra, is there to help because the family left everything behind. While cleaning things out, Ivy finds the most beautifully crafted Santa Suit. And in the pocket is a letter to Santa that really touches Ivy. Over the next few days, Ivy befriends several people in town, but still can't find out what happened to the little girl who wrote the letter. Will Ivy ever find out what happened to the little girl who wrote the letter?

The Santa Suit is a Hallmark movie waiting to happen. Ivy and Ezra are both fun and interesting characters. Their little community is charming and the people are all exactly what you would find in a Hallmark movie. Ivy did something that all women fantasize about, she chucked it all and bought a farmhouse that she dreamed of fixing up. In this time of HGTV, it makes for the perfect story! Of course there is a storybook ending, is there any other ending for a Christmas story? CLICK HERE FOR SPOILERS

Bottom Line - The Santa Suit was the perfect book to kick off the holiday season. It was light, fun, and full of charm.

If you are a person who likes to binge read Christmas books during the Christmas season like I do, The Santa Suit is the book for you. It has all of the qualities that I enjoy in a Christmas novel - a quaint small town feel, likeable characters, romance, and Christmas magic. Soon after showing up at her new home that she bought sight unseen in North Carolina, recently divorced Iva Perkins realizes she may have gotten in over her head. The Four Roses is filled with the furnishings of the Christmas loving previous owners' furniture and belongings. One of Ivy's most interesting finds is an old Santa suit which has a letter from a little girl inside its pocket. Ivy begins to wonder who this little girl was and if her Christmas wish ever got granted. I hope other readers will love the ending of this book as much as I did. The Santa Suit was a quick and delightful read for me. I appreciated the opportunity to read and review this book from St. Martin's Press via Netgalley.

A real sweet Christmas… Hallmark type movie. This is a novel about Ivy who is a recent divorcee who buys a farmhouse in NC sight unseen. It’s about her path in making someone else’s Christmas come true. Quick read, but sweet

A cute Christmas fiction story ! The main character, Ivy, buys an old farmhouse sight unseen, to renovate after her divorce. She has no idea what she is getting herself into . A feel good story about starting over and community.
Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for the ARC in exchange for my honest review.

This reminds me of a Hallmark movie somewhat. It’s a short quick read. Definitely recommend if your needing something quick in between series.

What a wonderful holiday story! Ivy buys a farmhouse sight unseen after her divorce. But it is more than she bargains for as the previous family left all their furniture and belongings behind. When she finds an old Santa suit and a note in the pocket she looks into the history of the suit and the note.

A great read to get you ready for the holidays. A little romance, a little mystery and a whole lot of Christmas cheer,. I really enjoyed this book.

Ivy Perkins in newly divorced and buys a house on the Internet sight-unseen. While sorting through the stuff left behind, she finds a Santa suit with a letter in it from a little girl that sets off a mystery. She integrates into the small town and learns more about the owner of the suit and the previous owners of her house. Her super helpful and handsome realtor gives a helping hand and sparks fly.

Let me start by saying I love Mary Kay Andrews. She is one of my favorite romance authors and her book Hello, Summer is an all-time fave. That said, this one just didn't light it up for me. I liked it just fine and it had all the right elements to make a great Christmas romance, and I bet most people loved it. For me, it just seemed a little overly sentimental for my taste. I'm not sure quite why this combination of story elements didn't sit as well with me as most of her stories. But it just didn't, and that made me sad, because I love her books.

Thank you NetGalley for the electronic review copy of this book. All opinions are my own.

Rating: 3 stars (my that's mostly due to personal taste and not writing skill)

Have you ever read a book by @marykayandrews? There is something so comforting and cozy about her writing and finding out that she had written a Christmas novella made me absurdly happy. I think everyone ahead of me on the @libby.app binged this one, too.

After a recent divorce, Ivy buys a rural farmhouse with the goal of a fresh start. While cleaning out some of the previous owners’ possessions, she finds a Santa suit in a closet and a letter to Santa in the pocket. Her curiosity about the girl who wrote it leads her down a rabbit hole and makes for the sweetest story. I just loved this one so much.

An easy, short read, great for exemplifying the holiday season. Though about Christmas, it also speaks to the human spirit and overall generosity. A fun story with a good romance too!

You can never go wrong with a Mary Kay Andrews book. If you are not a fan of Hallmark Christmas books, then you may not enjoy this one. I love my Christmas books to be a little Hallmark-y. I love a magical Christmas story and this was one.

Its possible that this review is garbage because its after Christmas but I did not love this book! MKA is always a great and enjoyable read and this wasnt horrible, it just wasn't for me.
It wasnt the predictability, or the cheesiness because its a Christmas story, right? Its just the "big city girl" moving to the small town and the flawless perfect sweetheart who doesnt like junk food. I just really didnt care about Ivy and I think that made me drop a star (or two)
I want to rate it a 2 but will give an extra star because Christmas is over and I already took down my decorations, so maybe I am a bit of a grinch.

I will try again with this one next December!

Thanks to netgalley for the early copy!
