Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for my digital copy in exchange for an honest review. I am not sure what made me request this book as I have pretty much given up nonfiction on Netgalley as I am pretty disappointed in many of my past choices. But I would have to say that out of all of the manifesting books I have read, this one was my favorite. I even messaged the author on Instagram to tell her how much I was enjoying it. I also had to create a new tag on Goodreads titled "get a copy" because this is one I am going to want to buy eventually in physical form. I would 100% recommend it to anyone who is into manifesting...or even wondering if they are into it. :)

This book was fascinating, and as someone who enjoys the practice of manifesting I found it an easy read. I enjoyed the detailed practices, and exercises and each little section was straight to the point. I appreciated being able to find things within the book, instead of having to really search for them; and I would definitely recommend this to others.

This was a most marvelous and useful book. Anyone wishing to manifest more abundance and prosperity into their livers should read this book. Miss Ferraro gives several useful and easy to follow techniques for manifesting most anything, whether it be a new car, job, or relationship. Miss Ferraro's writing style is entertaining and lively as she's "been there" before and experienced lack and an unfulfilled life. All the practices and techniques in the book she's practiced her own self to create a better and more fulfilling life. She relates her own experiences in an entertaining and humorous way that you can relate to yourself. A most useful book.

Manifesting: The Practical, Simple Guide to Creating the Life You Want by Kris Ferraro. A beautifully and smartly crafted book that breaks down and reevaluates manifesting, stigmas and your own self-identity. Manifesting is a book you are sure to read again and again.

First of all, I know this book is full of cliques but it worked for me. I read this book right as I was needing a little pick me up and the author’s style had just the right balance of encouragement and tools for getting back into making the magic happen for me. This is sort of like a self-help book for alchemists.

Most of the information in this book was not new to me. That being said, I think this book is a great little source manual for beginners on how to make manifesting work in your life and your career. The author tells a few stories of how she failed. I think it is especially important for the reader to see that it’s not all rainbows and instagram worthy pictures that make a life worth living, or worth manifesting.

The thing that makes this not just another self-help book is the exercises she lays out for getting what you want to fruition. I enjoyed this book and will be referring back to it when I need some good vibes.

The time is always right for a book like this. Who doesn’t need some guidance into creating their ideal and authentic life? Manifesting by Kris Ferraro is a simple book with practical advice and I found it helpful, a good book to keep close and dip into for a little while each day to keep yourself on track to creating your ideal life.

Synopsis:

Too often we walk through life in a state of lack, choosing to focus our attention on our deficiencies and allowing our minds, bodies, and spirits to swirl with discontent and negativity. But when our focus and attention is sunk in darkness, that becomes all we experience in our lives. Manifesting offers a transformative new approach. By focusing on what you wish to have or achieve, instead of despairing over what you are missing, you will find that you can manifest those very things in your life.

Out on August 24.

Highly recommended. This book was very well written and helpful. I read it over the course of several weeks, inwardly digesting it in small bites. The author presents concepts clearly and meaningfully, with connections to her own story. I really liked that the author connected these concepts to mainstream faith concepts as well. Much appreciated!

This book gives practical ways to change something you want to change about yourself. A self-assessment helps you learn more about your tendencies. Are you a "proprietor of possibilities" or a "Debbie down doubter?" The author includes a sample contract and details seven principles to help the reader make a clear commitment and then move in a good direction. I especially liked the playlist of songs to get started "Dancing Your Dreams," the affirmation tips, and ways you may be holding yourself back.

Absolutely loved this book! Thought it was the perfect combination of inspiring, motivating, and educational. I learned a lot about the topic, but I also appreciated that there were a lot of sections that gave practical every day use cases on how to apply manifestation techniques into your life. There were a lot of ideas that were new to me in this book, which I appreciated as the genre can start feeling stale after a little while. This is a great book for anyone looking to learn more about manifestation or who wants a little boost of confidence in the universe.

Thank you St. Martin’s Press for sending me an ARC of Manifesting by Kris Ferraro, all thoughts and opinions are my own.

Firstly, this review gets an extra star because as I was reading about manifesting in the workplace I received an email acceptance for a dream job of mine, so thank you very much Kris and the Universe!!

Manifesting is a beautifully and smartly crafted book that breaks down and reevaluates manifesting, stigmas and your own self identity. On the day I received this ARC I felt mentally drained and needed some sort of help in trying to grow myself. With the email about the book in my inbox, I dived right in. I’ve always felt very conscious of my surroundings but have always diminished them or put them aside so that I could focus on the “real world” (spoiler alert, the real world kinda sucks sometimes), but I went into this book with an open mind and am glad I did. Not only are there good exercises and guides for manifestation, there is a lot of insight and motivation for reframing negative thoughts, growing your self awareness and help with living a genuinely happier life through boundaries, openness and communication. I never felt judged or insulted while reading (which you’d think would be the bare minimum, but is a lot to ask when it comes to help or inner power books).

Overall, a great read for beginners or experts in manifestation written by someone with great energy (I know it might sound silly but I really did feel the good vibes through the writing!!).

This book takes an empathetic approach and gives bite size approaches and allows you to have kindness and patience with yourself when dealing with life. This is so necessary for everyone to read in life. Highly recommend. Especially loved the reflection to true life to humanize my feelings and relate. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

"Manifesting" is exactly what it claims to be: a simple, practical guide to creating the life you want to lead. The word 'creating' here is critical, as it implies not just living around the circumstances our life throws at us but actively co-creating and crafting our future in the way we want it to be. Ferraro strikes an incredibly delicate balance by providing a toolbox full of actionable exercises to manifest one's desires while also explaining the deeper level of peace and compassion one can nurture for oneself through contented surrender.

I've followed similar lines of teachings of many stripes in both religious and secular backdrops, and each of them uses a varied range of preferred terminologies and/or emphasizes different aspects, methodologies, or reasonings behind manifesting desired realities. Everyone has a focal point that resonates with them, whether it's nascent scientific evidence of the mind-body connection, or a loving relationship with an all-knowing God/Higher Being/Universe, or a level of desperation, openness, or curiosity to improve one's health, finances, careers, and more through less tangible means when all else fails.

But the fundamental message that we are a combination of soul, mind, and body and that tapping into our transcendental selves vis-à-vis a higher power can open up an infinite realm of possibilities for us remains the same. Ferraro does a great job drilling down this underlying thesis and soothing the skeptical mind by providing concrete experiential testimonies from both herself and her clients. She demystifies this philosophy/spiritual lifestyle/whatever you want to call it with easy steps and techniques. Her tone is full of compassion, like a gentle coach that encourages you to practice and experiment with different techniques until you find something that clicks with you.

Sometimes words like 'manifesting' and 'alchemy' rub people the wrong way. You might think this isn't for you because you're not spiritual, or simply don't believe in 'that kind of stuff.' Even if you don't, you'll find comforting affirmations and helpful practices in this book. Who knows, the Universe might have a surprise for you! Looking forward to the publishing of this book - I will definitely want to keep a copy by my side.

Wow. I've got to say this is by far the best book on manifesting I've ever read, and I'm grateful for Netgalley, the author, and the publisher for allowing me to read and review. This book offers so much truth, detailed instructions and different ways to deal with limiting beliefs, doubts, and fears. She also shares her own stories, tips, and exercises in good detail. So it isn't just a book about manifesting, but an actual how-to processes and tips and exercises to do. The surrender and control alchemy made me cry hard. She lists her parts into the principles, practices, and bringing manifesting alchemy into your life and into the world. She teaches that negativity isn't the cause of lack and that it is definitely okay to feel our emotions. She shares her own and other experiences, and I love that she added her stories. Loved the in-depth book. Highly recommended.
