Trisha’s Kitchen is a wonderful tool to add to your arsenal in your kitchen. The photos will make you wish for the ability to smell each dish, and the down-home Southern feel is like coming home. The book starts with a list of useful equipment and substitutions which is a great knowledge to have up front when preparing dishes. There is even a section for Special Equipment which tells items that are recommended for recipes contained in the book. There are different sections for Breakfast, Soup Salads & Sides, etc. as well as sections for Pork & Beef, Chicken Turkey & Fish, Breads and Sweets so that you can go directly to the area you are looking for. Some of my favorite recipes included Knife-and-Fork Bacon, Hot Chicken Chili, and the Cream Cheese Pound Cake. Some of these recipes, actually most of them, have quite a few ingredients and will take a little time, but I believe it will be well worth it. Thank you to NetGalley, the author and publisher for the opportunity to review this book.

Features recipes of Southern inspired comfort food. Many of the recipes have a unique twist or based on the photos look a little special. I liked that most of the recipes included a photo (but not all did). Some recipes were for very Southern dishes or used ingredients I am unfamiliar with - I saw "muscadine" more than once.
Recipes are in chapters on breakfast, snacks & appetizers, soups/salads/sides, pork & beef, chicken/turkey/fish, veggie night, breads, preserves/pickles/sauces/spreads, and sweets. I was a little surprised not to find any recipes for drinks.
This would be a good book for fans of Trisha Yearwood and/or her cooking show, or those looking for some new recipes with a Southern style.

I really struggled with this. I should have known since this was a "southern" cookbook, but all the recipes were so heavy looking and sounding, that I had a hard time wanting to try any of them.

A nice blend of personal stories and anecdotes, beautiful photographs of the dishes and delicious recipes. A plethora of Southern comfort dishes that are well organized and easy to follow. The list of substitutions was particularly helpful. This is a great source for new recipes as well as Trisha’s take on classics like shrimp and grits. An entertaining “read” as well as a bountiful resource for delicious recipes.

“Trisha’s Kitchen” is the absolutely charming and delightful new cookbook from Trisha Yearwood. Best described as comfort food with a twist, this cookbook is filled with a southern flair. Trisha’s dishes are approachable and made with accessible ingredients. The anecdotes accompanying the recipes are heartwarming, and I loved seeing some of Garth’s favorites too. You’ll be inspired to whip out your cast iron skillet and get cooking!

This is quite possibly the most gorgeous cookbook I have ever seen! There are tons of photos (which I always love in a cookbook) and they are absolutely scrumptious looking. Even though I have the advance reader copy, I can’t wait to get my hands on the hardcover edition when this one hits the stands on September 28, 2021. It’s a cookbook that I’ll be reaching for time after time, and is a must-have for delicious down-home recipes.

One underutilized category on @netgalley are their cookbooks! I love to try out cookbooks and downloading the ebook as a PDF and looking over the recipes is very fun. If I really like the recipes, I will always buy it. I do love to collect recipes and cookbooks- my husband and I have over 75 together!

I was very excited when I saw Trisha Yearwood’s newest cookbook, Trisha’s Kitchen: Easy Comfort Food for Friends and Family. I love her fun attitude on her cooking show, so I knew her recipes would be enjoyable. I also don’t cook a lot of southern food so this was the perfect opportunity! I decided to make Beth’s Shrimp and Grits.

I think this is one of the best recipes I’ve made in a long time. I’m glad I made this recipe for the cheesy grits alone. I have already made them a second time! The shrimp and andouille sausage was so flavorful, the whole apartment smelled absolutely delicious. I would say this recipe took some work to make, but it made so much food, I have lots of leftovers for lunch the next day.

I have my eye on several other recipes such as Chili Mac and Sausage and Butterbean Skillet dinner. I will also be making the caramelized onion bacon dip when football starts!

Thank you to @marinerbooks @harpercollins and @trishayearwood for my advanced copy of her cookbook! Trisha’s Kitchen is on sale Sept 28 and I highly recommend you get your hands on a copy!

This was a wonderful cook book! I have to say that cook books often don't appeal to me because I rarely want to make the majority of the recipes. However, everything in this book truly looked incredible. I think I've made around 5 different recipes in this book and each one was better than the last. Definitely check this out for a taste of modern southern cooking. This is a must-read especially for those who love Trisha's show.

I'm a big fan of Trisha's cooking show and her easy, approachable cooking style. I really liked the stories that accompany each recipe.

Trisha is my imaginary celebrity BFF since we both have made Mary Berry's Swedish Princess Cake. That is the one time-consuming, detail oriented recipe in the book, so set aside a whole Saturday to make it. This was a GBBO Technical Challenge. Imagine making this cake with minimal instructions. In the tent. With Paul and Mary walking by!

So far I've tried: Cheesy Potato and Beef Hash, Hot Chicken Chili, Beef Moussaka. All have been delicious and easy. I have so many more bookmarked for the next few weeks: Sweet Potato Hummus, Blueberry Pie Bars, Creamy Sweet Corn Spinach Enchiladas, Savory Potato Feta Galette, Sheet Pan Buddah Bowls and Buffalo Chicken Dip (which I think might be my lunch this week!)

*I received an advance copy of this book from NetGalley and the publisher and I am required to disclose that in my review in compliance with federal law.

I have loved following Trisha's cooking journey over the year. Her show on Food Network is one of my favorites. I was so excited when I discovered she was releasing a new cookbook this Fall. I want to thank Netgalley and the publisher for providing me with an advanced reading copy. Trisha does comfort food oh so well. Everything I ever make from her my husband absolutely devours! This cookbook is no different. The breakfast section is my personal favorite but I love the different meat categories as well. This gives you fresh ideas to make weeknight dinners a little more exciting. Overall a phenomenal cookbook.

Trisha Yearwood is out with her latest cookbook that every cook will want to add to their collection. In her typical friendly and down-home style, we can now feast on all types of southern cooking that is sure to enrich our dining tables. Trisha has included mouth-watering photography for all her recipes and many photos demonstrate how to complete the dish. Instructions are clear and all recipes are able to make the most novice cook successful. Her family stories about each dish are entertaining and it's noted that all recipes are "Garth Brooks-approved". Trisha includes all types of recipes from appetizers, meat and vegetarian dishes, to breads and sweets. As Trisha notes: This book is as close as I can come to having you sitting next to me in the kitchen". Like her television show, you will not be disappointed to be invited into Trisha's kitchen.

This was such a fun cookbook to flip through and while I read it via ebook, I plan on purchasing this to add to my cookbook collection. She had a great selection of classic recipes and then taking classics and making fun changes to them. I think this cookbook would be a great gift for a new homeowner and that cookbook collector who has it all - I will keep a few on hand for that last minute party invite!

This cookbook is a must-have! I've always been a fan of Trisha Yearwood, but when she started her cooking show and producing cookbooks - I loved her even more. I have tried several of the recipes in this new cookbook and they are fabulous! The photos included in the book are wonderful!

Everyone needs this cookbook on their shelves!

4 stars, This chick can cook!

TRISHA'S KITCHEN by Trisha Yearwood

Trisha Yearwood has created a lovely cookbook, full of Southern cooking recipes. Some are the old recipes that you know and love and some are more New Age style recipes with a lot of the more modern ingredients and names. The forward is presented by her husband, fellow Country Music Superstar, Garth Brooks. All of their family members participated and contributed, along with a few special friends.

Of course, everyone knows there should be lots of Bacon! Bacon with its own recipes and recipes with bacon in them, probably every single bacon recipe is great.

I jotted down a donut recipe, called Buttermilk Yeasted Donuts. Trisha has them near her recipe for Galaxy Donuts. She mentions the fact that you can use premade donuts or use this recipe for donuts. I'm looking at donut recipes to find one that everyone in our family loves.

The cookbook is pleasing to the eye and has a full-color photograph for each recipe that is beautifully presented in a tasteful setting.

Thankfully, I received a complimentary copy of #trishaskitchen from #netgalley #marinerbooks @marinerbooks @trishayearwood #trishayearwood #garthbrooks @garthbrooks I was under no obligation to post a review.

Trisha Yearwood's newest cookbook, "Trisha's Kitchen" is a delight. Not only does it have beautiful photos, but her recipes are easy to assemble, use ingredients that most home cooks have in their own kitchens, and there is even a little personal information about her life with the fabulous Garth Brooks. Trisha writes just as you would expect her to, with the pleasant, friendly and down-home attitude we love.
The book itself is conveniently divided into sections, starting with Breakfast, then Snacks and Appetizers, Soups, Meats, Breads, Veggies, Sweets, etc. At the very beginning, she even has a list of commonly needed kitchen equipment, as well as Substitutions for truly beginner cooks. Each recipe is described in easy to understand steps. Examples of her recipes, just to wet your whistle, are Garth's Breakfast Lasagna, made with bacon, sausage, and frozen chopped spinach. Country Ham Biscuits with Jalapeno Pimento cheese and Fried green tomatoes, and Bread and Butter Pickle Brined Chicken Wings.
I received this ARC at no charge from NetGalley and the author, but it is so charming that I plan to purchase a hardcopy for myself once it is released for sale on September 28, 2021.. As always, all opinions are my own.

I love me some Trisha Yearwood! I enjoy watching her cooking show as she's kind of like the country Ina Garten, in that she's very relaxing to watch. I enjoyed the cookbook but let's face it, I'm not going to cook or eat like that. I can't. But I like looking at it and thinking I can.
