Trisha's Kitchen by Trisha Yearwood is truly a cookbook full of comfort food and southern recipes. These recipes sound easy enough and look delicious. Although these are not my style of cooking, I have bookmarked a few recipes to try out soon.

I have every single Trisha Yearwood cookbook. I love her so much and this newest book is absolutely no different. The recipes are fun, easy and diverse. There’s recipes you can throw together and ones that you can entertain with. I cannot wait to try and the sourdough starter and so many of the recipes. The pictures are pretty and I love the introductions to the recipes. You absolutely cannot go wrong with this cookbook.

This is a beautiful cookbook filled with pages of yummy recipes and photographs. The recipes are laid out and categorized nicely so it’s easy to find one you are looking for. I loved seeing all the pictures of their home life as well. The pictures have a warm hue and make everything feel so cozy. I can’t wait to try some of these recipes!

A fun, interesting and mostly easy cookbook with delicious looking photos. My favorite section is Sweets! I thank Netgalley for the opportunity to read and review this cookbook.

This is my first cookbook by Trisha Yearwood but I have seen episodes of her cooking show before and I know her from country music. I think her fourth cookbook is a really great one! I really liked the variety of recipes and helpful photos for the more difficult meals. She is obviously southern, but she gathers meals from all cuisines which I really like. Just because I’m not Greek shouldn’t mean that I can’t incorporate a traditional Greek meal into my cooking and I like that Yearwood portrays this attitude.

I also appreciate how realistic and down to earth she is. She does have more homemade recipes but in others she will advise that you use pre-made puff pastry if it will put dinner on the table faster. I’m glad that she offers this advice and is not judgemental.

I was also pleasantly surprised with the Bread and Canned Preserves chapters. These are unique compared to other cookbooks I have. These are things I would love to take the extra time and eventually learn to do and I am glad that she offers them.

I like how she provides where she got her recipe from or why she changed a former recipe. Many of these dishes were things she tried on the road as a musician and that was really cool to read about. It is nice to be able to have access to her well-traveled experience. I think it is funny how her husband, Garth Brooks, is not a fan of spice and so she adds tips on where to add extra spice or not depending on your preference.

This was an enjoyable cookbook to read through and I can easily see myself making many of these recipes. There are definitely some more challenging meals for when I want to be fancy and some really easy meals that I could add to my weekday for my family. Many recipes are southern but I really like the variety of different types of meals. I highly recommend this cookbook!

Trisha's Kitchen is a cookbook for everyone with its delicious comfort food and southern recipes. Trisha provides fresh recipes that tell a story. It's beautiful to see how food can translate to making memories with family. I loved how she told stories about when she made a dish and what that moment made her feel. The images were so beautiful and appetizing. They showcased the lovely recipes and see the love she put into them.

I give Trisha's Kitchen 5 stars. The recipes are easy to follow and are appealing. Some of my favorites include Uncle Wilson's Ice Cream "Thing", Cornflake-Fried Catfish, Creamy Chicken Noodle Soup, and Garth's Breakfast Lasagna. There are so many recipes that will now be a staple in my house and so many others. Trisha opened up her heart with this book and as a fan and reader, I am so grateful!

Though the cookbook has almost 300 pages of easy to make recipes with pictures for all recipes, I wanted more, because every recipe was so easy to make and looked so delicious. Every recipe had a small paragraph telling why that recipe came to be. By the end of the cookbook you feel like you know Trisha, Garth and the rest of their family and friends. I went over each recipe ingredients and instructions several times. My favorite recipes so far that my family loves include, teriyaki bowl, meatballs and marinara, and collard greens using the pressure cooker. Any new bride would love this cookbook.

Trisha's Kitchen: Easy Comfort Food for Friends and Family is a collection of 125 recipes with enjoyable cooking for the family in mind. From breakfast to main dishes to baked goods and desserts, this cookbook covers a wide range of comfort food recipes for everyday cooking and special occasions.

This is a great cookbook that had me hooked from the first recipe. I love that all meals are covered with a wide variety of recipes and that they would work for cooking for the whole family. The cookbook is beautifully illustrated, with eye-catching pictures of most of the meals. I honestly couldn't get enough of this cookbook and would recommend it to anyone looking for some great home cooking ideas. If you have any questions about my review, I'll be in my kitchen making the Breakfast Burgers.

Thanks to Netgalley and Houghton Mifflin Harcourt for this ARC; this is my honest and voluntary review.

I love Trisha Yearwood’s show and the recipes in this cookbook reflect that same style of comfort cooking with a twist, like the Chicken Pot Pie Burger and Breakfast Lasagna, as well as Southern classics. Lots of inventive recipes; I’m always looking for interesting collard greens recipes because my mom grows them and so I’m looking forward to the Collard-Stuffed Wontons appetizer. Includes recipes with international flair too, like teriyaki, moussaka and gnocchi. Some of the desserts are a little weird but there are classics like Coconut Cream Pie too.

I was pleasantly surprised by this cookbook! I love Trisha and had read another cookbook by her a few years ago, but remember being disappointed by it. I cannot remember the specifics, but belief it may have been lacking in photos. This cookbook though, has beautiful pictures for nearly all of the recipes! I thought this cookbook was much better! Beautiful pictures of delicious recipes! The only thing that could have made it a better is nutritional facts and simpler recipes, as many are a bit too labor intensive for those of us with young children. But overall, it is great with a variety of recipes!

This cookbook is filled with delicious sounding comfort food recipes and lots of lovely color photos. Trisha is likeable and the book is filled with stories of family (often departed family members who passed down the recipes). Nutritional information is not provided. Most are definitely Standard American Diet kind of recipes and it won't be a good fit for gluten free, vegetarian, keto, paleo, low-carb or other special diets. I can't use the vast majority of the recipes because of this and I'm honestly a little glad since changing my diet has improved my health so much and these recipes would not be good for my health. For those who want to impress company, treat family members or just make some really tasty comfort food dishes, this book will likely hit the ball out of the park.

I read a temporary digital ARC of this book for review.

2.5 Stars

Unfortunately this was not a favorite cookbook of mine by Trisha Yearwood. If I’m being honest, her first cookbook Georgia Cooking In An Oklahoma Kitchen, has been my favorite and the best. I use that cookbook ALL THE TIME! Those recipes were simpler and more wholesome. Which brings me to why I did not care much for this new cookbook, Trisha’s Kitchen...
In Trisha’s Kitchen the presentation is beautiful, and there are many recipes and dishes to choose from. What it didn’t offer were simpler recipes -there were only two recipes in this whole book that I would even consider making. The list of ingredients per dish was very lengthy, and you would need ample room in your kitchen to even prepare some of these dishes. I am one of those people who does not have a lot of space or storage room in my kitchen to even make some of these ‘fancier’ homemade dishes.
I love good food as much as the next person, but I have also found many recipes that do not call for the amount of work or ingredients that Trisha’s Kitchen calls for. I probably won’t be recommending this cookbook or gifting it, but I do still look forward to future recipes from Trisha Yearwood as I am a big fan of hers.

Many thanks to NetGalley and Houghton Mifflin HarCourt for my advanced digital review copy in exchange for my honest opinion. Publication date September 28, 2021.

I enjoyed reading Trisha Yearwood’s cookbook. The recipes look easy to make and used common ingredients. They also look very tasty and I am going to try some of the recipes this weekend. I also enjoyed the pictures and stories that were in the cookbook as well. Very comforting just like the recipes.

I was given a copy of this book from NetGalley and the publisher for my honest opinion and review.

I was so thrilled to see that Ms. Yearwood and her sister Beth had put out a new cookbook, and beyond thrilled to be able to view and review it before publication. So today I downloaded it, read through it twice and got a grocery list going for recipes I want to try, and there are a lot of them. Trisha writes cookbooks that everyday people can relate too, there is nothing stuffy or recipes a home cook would never try. These are recipes you can put on the family table and your kids will eat. I admit I am a huge fan of her music, her cooking show, her husband! and her cookbooks. I have them all and after reading (yes I read cookbooks like novels) this one I preordered 3 for myself, my sister and mom. I know they will love it too. So ok the nitty gritty, the recipes are well thought out and I think real food we can relate too. Like Hush Puppies, or Overnight cinnamon rolls. Chilli Mac and on and on. If you need a gift for someone just learning to cook or a seasoned cook you won’t go wrong with this cookbook. I appreciate NetGalley and Houghton Mifflin Harcourt for the chance to take a peek and give my honest review on this book.
