Wow what a fantastic and versatile cookbook! This gorgeous woman commands the cover of this book in an elegant way with some true southern recipes that just look amazing!

What did I like! I bookmarked quite a few recipes to try and just loved the gorgeous pictures. Seemed like quite the family cookbook with some interesting twists. Each recipe comes with an attractive background of it’s heritage and most of the recipes look easy. I definitely enjoyed the dessert part of this book... imagine camo cake!

Would I recommend or buy? I’d love a copy of this cookbook! This would look great on my shelf! From lobster macaroni and cheese to breakfast burgers.... surely something for everyone! Five huge stars!

I received a complimentary copy to read and voluntarily left a review!

Thank you NetGalley, Trisha Yearwood and Houghton Mifflin Harcourt for the ARC of Trisha's Kitchen. This is my personal review.

I love cookbooks and this is definitely one I will add to my collection. The book is so much more than just a cookbook. It is about her life and family and recipes they all share and pass down.
The recipes are easy to follow. I like recipes that are not too complicated and this collection fits the bill for me. The photos just jump off the page and enticed me to want to rush into the kitchen and make them.
I will be giving this cookbook to friends and family this holiday season.

I have used and enjoyed all of Trisha Yearwood's previous cookbooks, so I had high hopes for this cookbook. And this cookbook lived up to my expectations. The pictures were beautiful. And the recipes are simple enough to be easy to make and yet never boring.

Cooking for family and friends is a beautiful and yummy way to express love, and Yearwood has you set up for success in her newest cookbook. Trisha’s Kitchen is full of drool-worthy, good food…from down home to decadent. It’s also full of personal notes and stories that give heart to each recipe.

Your hardest decision is going to be which mouthwatering recipe to start with. Trisha’s kitchen includes recipes that appeal to a wide variety of palettes. Recipe layouts are well organized and easy to follow, which makes for an easy to cook dish. Recipes often include pro tips, which I found incredibly helpful. And the pictures accompanying the recipes are food porn at it’s best!

I’ve been working my way through some of the breakfast and dinner options. Garth’s Breakfast Lasagna was a huge hit with my son, and my husband greatly appreciated Garth’s Teriyaki Bowls. My family would say that Garth has inspired some of Trisha’s best dishes.

Trisha’s Kitchen provides mouthwatering recipes with easy to follow layouts, stunning pictures, and family related recipe notes/stories that make you feel as though she’s invited you to be part of the family. If you can’t physically be in Trisha Yearwood’s kitchen with her, bringing Trisha’s Kitchen into your home is the next best thing.

Delicious family recipes, both old and new, with an emphasis on the many staples of Southern cooking, including iconic recipes for peach preserves, shrimp & grits, cornbread, and hush puppies. Great recipes, designed for home cooks and lots of memories.

While a I have watched Trisha Yearwood's cooking show on Food Network and made a couple of her recipes, , this is my first cookbook of hers to check out. First of all, the photos of the food are amazing! Each one makes you want to try it out. The recipes are fairly simple, toning elaborate and no unique ingredients you have to spend time hunting down. Most recipes would probably be considered southern cooking, but not all.
I enjoyed the background on each recipe where Trisha talks about where it came from, which family member or friend made it , etc. It was just enough without going overboard on the details. If you like comfort food and cooking then I think you’ll enjoy this cookbook.
I received an advanced readers copy in exchange for my honest review. Thank you to netgalley, publisher Houghton Mifflin Harcourt and of course, Trisha Yearwood for the recipes.

Trisha's Kitchen (Easy Comfort Food for Friends and Family) by Trisha Yearwood is a collection of mouthwatering recipes that are the very definition of comfort combined with home cooking. This cookbook clearly illustrates that a dish, though simple to prepare, can yield complex flavors that also evoke a sense of home and love.

The photography is visually stunning. making me feel as though I could almost smell the tantalizing aroma of the various dishes. Following Miss Yearwood’s common sense approach to cooking, anyone can successfully prepare the recipes in this book. (Instant-Pot collards, how brilliant is that!). Hatch Green Chile Queso and Everything Bagel Dip immediately caught my eye. And I don’t think that I will wait for company to serve Company Chicken! And don’t even get me started on the desserts! This book will be a well-loved addition to any collection. (I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy and all opinions are my own.) #TrishaKitchen #NetGalley

Let me start off by saying the cover doesn't really do the recipes justice. I get it IS a book by Trisha Yearwood first but it would be nice to see some variety included on the cover to what Ms Yearwood considers "Comfort Food." Now with that out of the way let me begin, there is QUITE a PLETHORA of recipes in here... I mean there is no shortness on variety, it may even border on a little TOO many options... but on closer inspection I stand corrected. The recipes seem a little dated but that's ok because it's about tried and true comfort food recipes. It doesn't need to be fancy or modern to satisfy that fat tooth in the back of your jaw. HA! I love that there is a Pickles, Preserves and Spreads section. I am the CONDIMENT QUEEN and this gives me such happiness right here! AND in all honesty my favorite section for recipes of actual dishes is the Veggie Night part... The flavor pairings look really good here.

Thank you to Netgalley and publishers for the advanced readers copy in exchange for my honest review.

I'm in love with this cookbook!! I've enjoyed the author's Food Channel show, Trisha's Southern Kitchen and was happy to receive this cookbook for review.

Not only are the recipes easy to follow with enticing pictures, Trisha has included commentary about where she got the idea for certain recipes and other anecdotes about who in her family likes which dish. There was also a lovely note from her husband, Garth complimenting Trisha in many ways, but specifically pointing out how dedicated and talented she is. The entire book was entertaining, as well as being a great tool for those wanting to create a wonderful dish or meal.

I have already made Garth's Teriyaki Bowls and Hot Chicken Chili recipes. Both have been a hit with my family. There are several more on my list that I look forward to making.. I'll definitely be buying a copy of this cookbook to have on hand. I highly recommend it, especially for those who are already fans of Trisha's.

Thank you to NetGalley for this ARC. I voluntarily chose to review it and the opinions contained within are my own.

This pictures in this cookbook are fabulous! The recipes sound really good. A few of the recipes are available on the internet, like the chocolate gravy, but most are not. I can't wait to try them..

As I went through this book the one thing that kept popping into my head was “Food Porn at its Finest”. What amazing photos and the food looks amazing! The problem that I have is that there are very few that I would be able to put in a regular rotation just for health reasons. For example - how about bacon straws? Cheese straws made with cheese and wrapped in bacon. Delish? I have no doubt. But I couldnt eat them every day. So, for me, this gets 5 stars as a special occasion cookbook but loses one for the sabotage of my waistline

Everything looks and sounds fantastic in this cookbook!
I saved a ton of recipes that I want to make.
There’s a very nice variety of recipes, there’s everything from appetizers, breakfasts, main courses, baked goods to desserts. If you were to define it as a certain style of cooking I’d say it leans towards southern but it’s not only southern foods.
Almost every recipe had a picture which I love! The pictures are beautiful and make you want to try the recipes even more.
The recipes don’t look too time consuming or have any hard to find ingredients.
My only only complaint/constructive criticism is that it would be a huge help if the recipes in the intro were labeled. There were two delicious looking recipes, one was clearly meatballs, one looked like a casserole. I looked through the whole book and I still can’t figure out where the casserole recipe is. Can someone throw a label or a page number on it and let me know?

Here are some recipes I will try:
Sausage and butter bean skillet dinner
Cornbread crusted fried pork chops
Peanut butter and roasted banana pudding
PB&J Cookie Bars
Peanut butter pie

I got to read an early ebook edition from NetGalley. Thanks!

Trish’s Kitchen by Trisha Yearwood is filled with decadent, home cooked delights! The recipes are easy to follow and easy to make, with ingredients you can readily find. Beautiful pictures throughout of the recipes, which is always a plus. I would say this is a great cookbook to have if you are looking for one with traditional homemade comfort foods.

Thank you to NetGalley and Houghton Mifflin Harcourt for the opportunity to read this book for an honest review.

Also from South Georgia, I’m a big fan of Trisha and her cooking! I can’t wait to try her takes on all the dishes I grew up on.

Let's be honest. One of my favorite things to do is eat...

Another thing I totally enjoy doing is watching food network and pretending to be a chef in my head.

I like Trisha Yearwood allright and you gotta support a southern girl anyways. So I was excited to see she has a new cookbook. One of her cookbooks was a turd for me but you need to just forgive and move on. Right? Peace and love and all that shit.

So see up there in the title? It says easy. I'm thinking I must be sorta stupid because a whole lot of these recipes did not sound easy. They sounded delicious but not easy.
Examples:

I'm lazy as heck in the morning! So these are dream eating.
Photo of said recipe...

Then another yummy that I want in my mouth but totally admit to being too lazy to make.

then something I might actually tackle....

Buckle up food network...here I come.
