This was my first visit to Blessings, Georgia, and I enjoyed the town and its people, especially how they pulled together to support one another in times of need.

Given that this is not the first story sent in Blessings, I did feel lost at times when a quick description was intended to remind the reader of something that obviously took place in an earlier book. So, it did not work well as a standalone, in my opinion.

The town is filled with many kind and caring people, which was wonderful. But these secondary characters were front-and-center many times in the story so that they overshadowed Wade and Birdie. Really, there were three stories being woven together and Wade and Birdie's was just one of them. And that primarily seemed to be based on sex. There weren't any real "warm fuzzies" generated for me by their story.

As a result, there were a lot of characters to keep straight and storylines to distinguish. Ultimately, the book felt rushed and choppy to me. And while it could be characterized as "sweet romance" (sort of...) it most definitely was not clean. The first graphic sex scene is only a few pages into the book and truly was completely unnecessary to the story.

So, while I enjoyed the premise of Blessings, it wasn't for me.

The Christmas Wish is a heartwarming book set in the Christmas obsessed town of Blessings, Georgia. Birdie works in the Feed Store in Blessings. Wade Montgomery comes back to Blessings to help his uncle by managing his Feed Store. Coming back reminds Wade of all that he missed in that friendly small town. When his Uncle introduces him to the Store employees, He is surprised to see that his high school girlfriend works at the store. Wade helps Birdie regain her Christmas spirit. He convinces her to ride on the store float in the parade but did not reveal what the float was at first. A sixteen year old that lived in Blessings until he was 6 years old came to Blessings with a special mission. He needed a Christmas Miracle to fulfill his mission. This town was filled with caring special people that made Christmas much happier for a number of people. I enjoyed this book and highly recommend it.

I thought this was a very enjoyable, Christmas themed, sweet romance. I haven’t read the previous books in the series, but intend to now. I loved the small town setting and uplifting feel of the story and look forward to reading more about these characters.

Thanks Netgalley for allowing me to read this book. I have read most of Sharon Sala's books and this one was great. Wade has come back to his small town that he grew up in. He likes Birdie who also likes him but usually does not give him the time of day. I enjoyed the chemistry between Wade and Birdie. This was a heart warming story.

Blessings, Georgia...a small town with huge hearts!

I've read every book in this series, and always look forward to the next. This one focuses mainly on Birdie (Bridgette) and Wade, but also on the Martin family. Birdie and Wade work together at the Truesdale Feed Store, Wade is the manager, his uncle Dub owns it. Birdie and Wade have been dating for a while now and are ready for the next step.

The Martin family is deserving of a Christmas miracle, and it seems it might just come true. 10 years ago Zach Martin was sent to prison for a robbery that he swore he didn't commit. His son, Duff, was only 6 at the time and the family kept him shielded from the reason his father went to prison, he didn't find out until right now why. Once he found out, he took it upon himself to travel from Florida to Blessing to right the wrong.

There are many Christmas miracles strewn throughout this book. A van for the residents of the Bottom who otherwise have no transportation. Birdie surviving what could have been a fatal accident. Another man sees the light and stops gambling to save his family. The spirit of the season is alive and well in Blessings.

Thanks to the author, publisher and NetGalley for the opportunity to read and review this book, but my opinions are my own.

The Christmas Wish is the first Christmas book in the Blessings, Georgia series and tells the heartfelt Christmas love story of Wade and Birdie. Wade is returning to Blessings to help his family's business, and is also looking forward to reconnecting with Birdie. Birdie is cautious when it comes to Wade because he has left before, but as Christmas draws closer, she may realize how much she wants him in her life after all.

The Christmas Wish is a sweet Christmas novel in a lovely small-town, Christmas-obsessed setting....which I think we could all use a little of in our lives right about now. The second chance romance between Birdie and Wade has a lot of wounds behind it, and overcoming everything makes their relationship more special. There are a lot of supporting characters, which likely sets up for subsequent novels in the series. While I appreciated their stories, my main criticism is that I sometimes found the book to jump around a bit too much and focus more on side plots than Wade and Birdie. That said, it did spark my interest for future books. 3.5 stars.

Thanks to Netgalley and SOURCEBOOKS Casablanca for this ARC; this is my honest and voluntary review.

The Christmas Wish is book 12 in the Blessings series. A feel good story with returning characters, small-town charm and Christmas around the corner. There are a few different storylines, but the main story is how Wade and Birdie finally realize they love each other.

All is not perfect though. There is a little drama and suspense, out-of-control fighting neighbors, an interesting Christmas parade, small-town gossip, and a Happily Ever After. However, theirs isn't the only Christmas wish in the small town of Blessings, Georgia. One man hopes to make amends to the damage he's caused for himself and his family while another young man makes a startling discovery that sets him out on a quest for justice.

I did not connect with this book like I do most Christmas novels, but that is only because I have not read the first 11 in the series. While there was a certain charm to the story, the pace was really slow and the plot rather underwhelming. There are a ton of characters the book bounces between, which made it difficult for me to follow. I felt I was missing information that may have connected me with the characters.

Christmas has come to Blessings, Georgia with a parade, family drama, theft, redemption and more. ARC from NetGalley.

3.5 stars!

I love this Blessings, GA series. This book was okay, loved the story between Wade and Birdie, but it felt like there wasn't enough between them to support an entire book so we jump to and fro between many different characters/storylines. Quick paragraphs about each set of characters then jump to the next set. I'll always come back for any book in this series, but this one felt rushed and stretched thin between too many people.

A charming, small town Christmas story. Very predictable but a quick enjoyable read. Thanks Netgalley for a preview copy in exchange for my honest opinion.

I was looking forward to another Blessings book but this one disappointed me. It is a story about love and friendship. I thought the plot was weak and the story dragged. If you want a predictable happy ending book this is it. Maybe the next one will connect with me. Thank you to net galley for an advanced readers copy.

What a wonderful new addition to the Blessings, Georgia series. This is book 12 but can be read as a stand alone.

Loved this book.
To be honest I just requested it because of the cover no relizing it was the next in a series that I had read the first one the other week.
I love how the story just flowed from the first book.
But also a new story in its self.
So glad birdie and wade got married and had babies.
I so want to live in blessings apart from the heat.
This book makes my heart sing its so loving and happy.
Hope there's some more in the series.

I've said it before and I will say it again, this series just gets better and better!

Sharon Sala is one of my all time favorite authors and the Blessings, Georgia series is one of my favorites of all the books I have ever read.

The Christmas Wish was such a heartwarming story. I can't even tell you how many tissues I went through while reading it. It was so emotional. In a good way of course.

If you've read Somebody to Love, you will already know quite a bit about Birdie Knox. She played a major part in the family drama in the last book. It's time for her to get her Happily Ever After.

Wade Montgomery has recently moved back to Blessings to help run his uncles business. He has always had feelings for Birdie and now that they're working together, he will stop at nothing to make her his.

The story is not just about Wade and Birdie though. There is a whole cast of characters in need of Christmas Wishes.

This story had wrongs righted, treasures found, Second Chances for people who really needed them and Miracles. That is what this story was all about. Second Chances and Miracles.

I highly recommend this book. You will not be disappointed.

I am always excited when another book about Blessings, Georgia comes out. I love these stories!! They are always heartfelt and the characters are wonderful. I enjoy spending time with these folks as they live their lives. What great Christmas Wishes there are in this story! I enjoy holiday stories and this one does not disappoint. I cannot wait till the next time I get to travel to Blessings and hang out with these wonderful people. I received this book from NetGalley, but my opinion is my own.

Wade Montgomery has had a crush on Birdie Knox forever but she doesn’t seem interested. When Wade finally confronts Birdie about his feelings, he is amazed to find out she does reciprocate and would love a chance with him. Not only does this book cover the story of our two protagonists, but it brings back so many of our characters from previous books. I loved how Sharon Sala tied up all of the loose ends and brought her usual feel good story to an end. I have loved this series and will be going back to re-read them more than once. Thanks for sharing your gift of writing with your readers!

I have read all the Blessings, georgia books and this is just as good as the others. I love the people and the town. I hope sharon sala continues to write these sweet stories.

Another feel good story in Blessings. The characters are all back and Christmas is around the corner. There are a few different storylines, the main story is how Wade and Birdie finally realize they love each other. The citizens of Blessings once again show that small town spirit and a 10 year old mystery is solved. A bit on the corny side, but doesn’t everyone wish for such a place?
I am voluntarily posting an honest review after reading an Advance Reader Copy of this story.

Sharon Sala does it again! She takes us to the wonderful little town of Blessings, GA, to visit with what feels like old friends. Her characters are rich and developed and make you want to get to know them better. Even when Josh commits a crime, you find yourself cheering for him and hoping everything works out for him. The characters are warm and giving and give the reader that hope that there is still good in the world. Birdie and Wade's love story is warm and sweet and everything you want a small town romance to be. And the incident with the mouse made me laugh out loud.
