Jim shore is truly magical. This is a great story about making new friends. However, the best part of this book is the illustrations. I love getting to see Jim’s artwork in a new medium. New Found Friends can be loved by kids and adults.

This book seemed rather unnecessary wordy for a children’s book. I also found the Illustrations a little lacking. If the child can get through it, Button goes on some fun adventures!

New Found Friends: A Button and Squeaky Adventure by Jim Shore is a love written and illustrated book. Button takes Squeaky on a new adventure of going outside where they meet a new friends Pinky and later on, Acorn. This book would be perfect to read in any type of story time. I highly recommend this book! Thank you to NetGalley and the Publisher for the opportunity to read this book. (This review is also on GoodReads.)

Excellent illustrations and an ok story. My daughter is three so she loved the fact that there were bears, a balloon, and a unicorn. As a parent I didn’t really get the plot and thought it ended abruptly. My daughter also was very sad that the one bear was left alone and lost and asked if the owner got her back. I just don’t know? We had to use our imaginations to fill in some of the storyline. But very engaging pictures! I voluntarily reviewed this after receiving a free copy.

An easy read for young ones, full of pretty illustrations that can make them start to dream and imagine a story to continue after. The story of a bear and his dog balloon friend who met new friends in the park and in the attic. It is fun to have more friends to play with, according to the book.

Newfound Friends is the second book in a whimsical picture book series by Jim Shore. Like the first book, Magic in the Attic, it is filled with beautiful illustrations and a whimsical storyline highlighting the beauty of friendship. While I would recommend reading the first book so that you are familiar with Buttons and Squeaky, it is not necessary to read it before picking up this one, since it is its own story. This book (and Magic in the Attic) give me the same vibes as picture books I used to love and still fondly look back on as a child.

Thank you NetGalley and Fox Chapel Publishing for the arc!

Beautiful illustrations. Jim Shore does such gorgeous work. I think the story could be stronger. It’s cute and light, but I wanted something more from the plot.

4.5 Stars
This is such a cute little book about making new friends and being happy. Button is a teddy bear, and Squeaky is his pet balloon dog who never left the attic. Button takes him on an adventure to a park, and the story goes on from there.
The illustrations are soft, warm, and delightful. It’s got the old-world charm of sketching that made me smile throughout. The detailing in the illustrations is wonderful. We can see the different items stuffed in the attic. The book is full of laughter, happiness, and sweetness. Pick it up, and it’ll leave you smiling.
Thank you, NetGalley and Fox Chapel Publishing, for the ARC.

Cute story about stuffed animal friends in an attic that go on an adventure. Beautiful illustrations and the story lines up with the pictures. Both my 8 year old daughter and I enjoyed this book.

This is pretty much a direct sequel to Magic in the Attic, but it's written in a way that can be understood and enjoyed without reading the first one. I said it with Magic in the Attic and I'll say it about Newfound Friends: I love the art to pieces and I want it in a coloring book for adults lol

The story is also just as fun. I love seeing Button continue to make new friends and I think Pinky is a great addition to the story. I'd love to see more books following Button's adventures!

This was a delightful picture book! It follows a bear named Button and his pet balloon dog Squeaky as they go outside and have adventures. I loved the soft coloring and it perfectly matched the art style and design of this book. All of the friends Button and Squeaky met on their journey were adorable, and this book had good pacing. Any child who wonders what their toys get up to when they're not around will love this book!

This heartwarming book is the second tale in this sweet children's book series. It profiles friendship, imagination and adventure. Buttons, who is a teddy bear, teams up with his best friend Squeaky, who is a balloon animal, and off they go out of their restrictive attic and into the big wide world to explore its grandeur. It's a glorious day with the sun shining brightly so they head for the park to play outdoors.

As their playday progresses the duo encounter two new friends named Pinky and Acorn. The group head back to the attic and the magical merriment continues. All feel accepted, loved and special hanging out together.

The illustrations are beautifully detailed and engaging. Kids will be drawn into the adventure and feel they are part of the wonderful day. The book will spark conversations about the importance of friendship and how to be a good friend to others.

How fortunate for us that Jim Shore who has created thousands of heartwarming figurines that have been sold worldwide is now expanding his talents into the awesome world of children's literature. I highly recommend this book.

Very adorable story for little kids, a 4 year old would be able to read and enjoy this. I used to love my old Enid Blyton stories where toys would come to life, and this carries on in that tradition. Lovely artwork, and bright colours to catch a child's attention.

Thanks NetGalley for this ARC!! My toddler loved this story. Who wouldn't?! I think a lot of us imagine our toys living their own life when we are away. I liked the feeling of friendship and acceptance of the toys as they took in new friends found along the way. The illustrations were lovely and made me think of toys from my childhood. It was nice to connect with my toddler with this story.

Newfound Friends is the second book in a new adorable book series by Jim Shore.
Each book so far is a stand alone but also links to the previous book and they are the most adorable children's books!
In this one, Buttons and his new friend Squeaky meet some new friends to share magical adventures full of fun and excitement and learn that making and having friends and a friendship is so much fun.
The two newfound friends are both lonely and upset as they have been forgotten about by their owners and Buttons and Squeaky look after them and help them to feel loved and better again.
