I’m inclined to agree with other reviews about this being a good graphic novel for kids younger than 10. It’s short and has a simple plot and words, the illustrations really popped too. It’s a lovely story about empowerment.

This story is great for empowering young girls to be whatever they want to be! It has guitars, dragons, magic, rock bands, snakes, princesses, and evil queens. Everything a cool girl could want!

It's for younger readers, with a rhyming scheme. The art is fantastic.

So cute! This book is fun, entertaining, and has a great moral. It not only is empowering to women and girls, but also encourages communication and understanding as a problem-solving strategy, rather than violence. I really enjoyed reading it, and am definitely considering purchasing it for my nieces!

Loved it! The art is fantastic and the writing is well done. The princess is true to herself and it’s a lovely message that it’s okay to just communicate. The kid and the adult just need to talk things out. The art is particularly fantastic and I almost wanted it to be longer.

Super cute graphic novel illustrating a song by Johnathan Coulton. Telling the tale of the princess who clashes with the evil queen down the road, the illustrations are vibrant and action packed. Would recommend for any younger reader who is enjoying graphic novels.

That was solidly cute. Before I read the ARC of the book I had heard of Jonathan Coulton but since I don’t listen to music often I hadn’t heard this song. The cute cover art caught my eye for this book and the cuteness of the art and story got me to go listen to the song. It’s a cute and wholesome picture book!

The best solutions are non-violent, as the Princess in this story demonstrates. Instead of beating up the dragon that attacks her, she talks to it. Instead of fighting with the bee that attacks her, she invites it over for tea.

It is good to have strong princesses as examples to little girls, as well as big girls.

Fun story, and you should seek out the original song that this was based on by Jonathan Coulton. Catchy lyrics, and fun to listen to.

Wonderful illustrations, and a dynamic girl, with her pet snake and her red guitar.

I got this for my 8 year old daughter. Here is what she had to say about it:

This book was really easy to read with not too many words on each page. I sat down and read it in only 20 minutes or less.
The story was really fun and the pictures were so colorful and cute.
This book had a lot of funny parts that made me laugh. It was a really unique story. I liked the ending.

I recommend this book for kids younger than 10. The illustrations and all the color are really the highlight of this book. The story is simple, and the rhymes are a bit silly, specially because the text doesn’t all rhyme all that well, but overall it was a nice little story.
