3.5 stars rounded down.

Overall, I really enjoyed this!! Cute kid content. Good use of football. A good setup for bringing the kids into the picture and throwing the couple together. I thought the hero was great. The heroine.. eh less so. She has some serious communication issues which cause the vast majority of their issues.

And then, and this is a big one, the couple never actually resolves any of these issues, they never talk things through and get everything out into the open. That’s the main reason this got rounded down.

Also, the hero is an olive-skinned man of Italian descent. The model on the cover is ... not. (The heroine is a black woman.)

Overall I’d recommend this book, and was intruiged by the glimpses we got of previous couples, but I’m not sure I liked it enough to read the rest of the series.

Maxwell and Jill become instant parents!!

Maxwell Smith knew his life was going to change from the single life to raising his stepsister’s triplets when her and her husband were killed in an accident. But he never realized just hard it would be even with a nanny. Everything changed for the better when the triplet’s Dr. Gillian “Auntie Jill” Collier shows up to help with the kids.

Touchdown is a football romance that is light on the football and heavy on the romance between Maxwell and Jill. I loved it because Maxwell and Jill have to pick their moments for romance being outnumbered by toddlers that seem to take over the house especially with their busy careers.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book from NetGalley. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Leslie North consistently brings great characters and passionate romance to life. As a big fan North's, her name provokes an automatic one-click from me. I am always entertained. Triplets just add to the appeal.

Oh my gosh, Maxwell has the sweetest instant family. The triplets seem so cute. Jill is icing on the cake. Truly made them a family. I loved reading, Touchdown.
