A great summer weekend read, this book is a perfect vacation read.

I was in a reading slump and picked up How Not to Marry a Billionaire and it was a great ride. An easy fun read that had me laughing throughout the story. I could figure out what was going to happening, but that didn't take away from the book at all. It reminded me of the old movie an updated twist.

This is such a cute and fun read! Jane has been cheated on by her boyfriend and is harassed at work, has big student loans and decides her mum is right and sets her sights on falling in love with a rich man to the test. This is an outlandish, short and sweet romantic comedy about finding love and happiness when we least expect it. The perfect read for a holiday, wherever you are

Jane's story is downright funny & entertaining.
After a incident with almost killing her boss, she's now unemployed, broke & helpless.

Taking her mother's advice, she goes on a quest to find someone to fall in love with. Richer or Poor, doesn't matter.
With a sexy bartender in picture, things become wild & humorous.
A perfect summer romcom which is light & crazy.

The future looks brighter with Jane. She is an upcoming lawyer yet luck is not in her way when she became jobless and penniless in an instant.

The solution: Search for a billionaire in a paradise island in Hawaii.

However, what if Jane found love with a guy whose working in the bar?

Would she follow her heart or her empty pockets?

Very light and funny story that anyone can relate to especially single ladies!

Thank you Victory NetGalley Co-op for the ARC!

•• What's this about? ••

Jane's life is a mess right now. Her ex-boyfriend cheated on her. She had a harassing boss (who she stabbed, upss). And now she's broke and needs to figure out what to do with her life.

So, when her mom tells her that "is as easily fall in love with a rich man or a poor man", she decides to go to Hawaii with her roommate Holly, and visit there to her best friend Penny. And, during this vacation, find a nice billionaire man and solve all the problems.

But the truth is that nothing is going to be that easy.

•• What do I think about it? ••

Well, first of all let me tell you that it was a good reading. It has a great plot twist at the end, the characters are amazing and the whole story is so romantic with funny parts.

The main cliche is the "insta love" between the three main character: Jane, Mike and Colin.
I love each story of each couple.

Also, Penny and Holly (Jane's freinds) had some good scenes. I loved their relationship.

In general, the story is quite good. I little bit predictable but I enjoyed it a lot.
It is really easy to read and with a lot of romance.
Defenetly I recommend it and can't wait to read the next book of the series.

I do love stories like these, billionaire or not, I was rooting for the couple this whole time. I love when a normal girl gets with a billionaire, its so cliche but such a good story!

I loved this, thanks Ashlee and Netgalley for allowing me this ARC

The perfect summer read! How NOT to marry a billionaire held my attention from the very first page, and until long after the last! Such a sweet story that is filled with awkward laugh-out-loud moments and some major slow burn.

Who would you chose?

A British billionaire or a smart, down to earth bartender who is really a physicist?

I know who’s team I was on!

A fun romance, with a scenic back drop! It's the perfect summer read and I totally recommend it to. anyone!

How Not To Marry A Billionaire is an okay enough story with some genuinely funny moments. Unfortunately it is let down by being extremely formulaic, and I couldn't help feeling that many of the secondary characters were nothing more than padding (or merely to set up subsequent books). Penny was really only present to get the story to Hawaii. After that, she was barely mentioned except to say she's working. Holly also seemed to have been a pointless addition. I still don't understand why she even went to Hawaii as she barely left the cottage. There was little-to-no development of either of Jane's 'best friends. I think that comes down to lack of words. This story is half the length of most contemporary romances. But longer than the average novella. As such, it suffers because it can't seem to decide which it is, and hasn't developed each character enough.

There were also some really bizarre moments. 'Colin from Manchester' being intrigued about what a trivia night looked like, for instance. There's not much about a trivia night that is mysterious. We have those in the UK. The same - supposedly educated - man apparently doesn't know what astrophysics is. That just reads as silly. Look, he might not know much about it, but for him to come across so vapid that he had to ask if it involved astronomy just didn't seem realistic. And honestly? It would surely have been a turn-off for Jane.

Jane is a strange character. At one turn, she's a feisty intelligent woman. At the other she's genuinely contemplating becoming a gold-digger, really only because she lost her job. It's a leap, and one that didn't sit well with me.

I liked Mike. But there was no air of mystery. He was pretty much a cardboard cut-out stereotype of the 'perfect man', and the big 'twist' felt like it was visible from space (that's one of the things astrophysicists study, Colin).

There's the potential of a decent story here, but unfortunately this wasn't it for me.

2.5/5 rounded up to 3.

HNTMAB is a light hearted book based ok a woman that is fed up of struggling through life and decides to visit her friend in Hawaii and try and bag herself a billionaire. It’s an easy read although not particularly gripping. Jane, the main character is difficult to like in parts, but her relationship with secret billionaire Mike keeps you wanting to find out more. I’m glad I gave it a read, although it did take me a while to get through - I felt the story did drag out in parts. I’ll look out for more by Ashlee Mallory but perhaps wouldn’t recommend this one.

A light hearted fun read. Perfect for the beach. A tad predictable but pleasant enough characters, gorgeous setting and a happy ending!

Review of How Not To Marry a Billionaire by Ashlee Mallory

This is the story of Jane, who after a tiny little incident of maybe stabbing her boss finds herself unemployable, broke and desperate. Following the advice of her mother "It's just as easy to fall in love with a rich man as it is a poor man" she heads off to the exclusive resort in Hawaii to find one! Things take a nose dive though when she is distracted by the very sexy bartender.

Overall a fun easy light-hearted fun read, set in a fabulous location. Great for a summer read.

Very well written rom com with interesting characters and plot line. Would have liked it to be a little longer, but hoping she writes another with different character to continue the friends stories

Light hearted and fun! This was an easy read and the characters were cute. It was a bit predictable, but nonetheless was a good, light read!

I received an ARC from the publisher in exchange for an honest review.

I didn't hate this book, but I also didn't enjoy it as much as I wanted to. Personally, I felt that the characters were flat and a bit one-note. There was nothing memorable about Jane, Colin, or Mike. They were all very generic and could have been anyone. Jane's friends were more interesting characters than Jane was, and I wasn't very interested in Jane's story at all.

I also didn't care for the ending. To avoid spoilers, I won't get too into details, but I wish the book had ended differently than it had. Jane had several revelations that seemed to be glossed over with how the book ended and I didn't like that at all. I understand that it's a romantic comedy and everything works out for the best for the main character, but it would have made for a much more interesting book if they hadn't worked out quite as well as they had for Jane.
