On the whole, I enjoyed this book.
The first half was fantastic and I was completely gripped. I felt the fear of Marissa, and the worry of losing Milo and concern over what happened to him.
As the book progressed, and more people got introduced, I found it a little confusing and lost the thread of the story at times, which slowed down my progress somewhat.
The final twists were great, although some were a bit of a stretch for plausibility. I always find the suspension of belief when reading a thriller has to be strong, otherwise one can feel disappointed and frustrated frequently!
Overall, a solid, good read and one I would recommend.

A twisty domestic noir, All Her Fault will have your mind running on overtime with no one to trust and an abundance of suspicions, betrayals, and lies.

First of all, I absolutely love the idea behind this story. After receiving my approval for my NetGalley request, I received an email from the author detailing how a personal experience influenced her story. Although her experience was an innocent mistake, the thought of something like this happening put me on edge straight away, I was intrigued to see where the story would go.

After a gripping opening that describes a parent’s worst nightmare, this tense thriller will have you imagining the worst of everybody, but probably not the ones with the real secrets to hide. There are some BIGGG twists in this book, and you’ll soon be glued to find out whether your instincts were right.

After the main revelations, however, I wasn’t sure how I felt about the answers that began to emerge as they seemed to come from nowhere. For the shock factor, this was great as I really had no idea. But I began to feel a little detached at first as it wasn’t what I was expecting at all. But then more twists come, and I was reeled right back in.

It’s certainly a chilling read that fills you with an everyday fear. But although the book suggests that a woman is guilty of this crime, it was only the men that I felt really suspicious of, so I feel like things could have been hinted more in their direction, rather than at the mysterious men around them.

Cleverly crafted, All Her Fault is an engaging thriller that is sure you have you hooked, and you’re going to love it if you enjoy an explosive ending.

What a complex tale of twists and tangly turns, the book starts with a mum Marissa going to pick her son Milo up from a play date from a friends house she never been to. When she gets there the lady says Milo is not there and has never been there panic sets in and she rushes home
So it now appears that there has been a kidnapping of a 4 year old boy named Milo considered very gifted by his mother he also sees days in colours commonly known as synthasea a very rare condition by another nanny called Carrie who looks after other children at the same school
His mother Marissa beside herself and with help from family sets up printing leaflets to help find Milo, the whole family help and lots of other mothers
But details about Carrie start to come out and it appears she is not who she says she is so who is she?
A complex twisty tale keep your wits about you for this one

I struggled to effectively engage with All Her Fault over the first few chapters as I wasn't 'hooked', however, with a little perseverance I found myself completely gripped.
Marissa arrives at a house to collect her son Milo after a playdate, to find him missing The community rallies around Melissa, but it seems as though each person we encounter is harbouring a secret.
The main culprit is the nanny - what does she have to hide, is Melissa's husband a suspect too?

Fast-paced and with a twist that I did not see coming - I recommend All Her Fault and I look forward to reading more of Andrea Mara's work.

What a twisty turny plot! Marissa has lost Milo, not on a play date with Jacob but missing. A thoroughly good read but at times found it difficult to keep up with all the characters, generally a pretty horrid bunch! Some considerable suspension of belief is required but the end is quite remarkable! Read on

My thanks to Random House U.K.- Transworld Publishers for an eARC via NetGalley of ‘All Her Fault’ by Andrea Mara in exchange for an honest review.

This is a domestic noir/psychological thriller set in Ireland that centres on events linked to a missing four-year old child.

It opens with Marissa Irvine arriving to collect her son, Milo, from his first play date with Jacob Kennedy, a boy from his new school. The door is answered by a woman that Marissa doesn’t recognise as Jacob’s mother. She has no knowledge of Milo or of the playdate. Marissa is instantly plunged into every parent’s worst nightmare.

News of the disappearance quickly filters through their quiet Dublin suburb. An unexpected suspect is named, and whispers start to spread about the women closely connected to the disappearance.

I won’t say more in order to avoid spoilers. This is a world of privilege and both Milo and Jacob have a nanny/childminder and their parents are quite well off professionals.

This is Andrea Mara’s fourth crime novel though the first to be published in the U.K.. Like many psychological thrillers it moves between various characters’ points of view including Marissa and Jenny, the mother of the boy that Milo had the play date with. There are also chapters set prior to the disappearance that provide details of earlier events.

I read this as part of an online book group hosted by The Pigeonhole, which allowed for plenty of comments with fellow pigeons about various characters’ motivations and the like.

I certainly found this an engaging novel with some inventive twists and plenty of secrets to be uncovered. It’s the kind of novel likely to be popular with reading groups or as a gripping summer read.

All Her Fault is a very fast paced novel with short chapters and from the beginning, I found it very difficult to put down! I really wanted to know what had happened to Milo and couldn't rest until I had answers.

Each chapter is narrated by a different character and occasionally we step back in time. At first, it seemed like this might be confusing, but it is really easy to follow and it's a really effective technique. It gives us insight into the characters, most of whom are quite unlikeable, but it also demonstrates that things may not be as simple as they seem and the intrigue this creates kept me engaged all the way through.

All Her Fault has so many twists and turns which kept me on my toes! Some of them are easy to guess, but there are others that were a complete surprise to me! I really enjoyed this novel and I look forward to reading this author's books in future.

When Marissa Irvine arrives to pick up her son, Milo from a playdate at 14 Tudor Grove a stranger answers the door and knows nothing of Marissas son or the playdate. Thinking she must have the wrong address she calls the number she has for Jenny only for the number to be disconnected.
Jenny is away on business in France and has no knowledge of any arrangements made between the two mothers.
Milo is missing, kidnapped. Every parents worst nightmare is happening and the race to find him safe and sound is on.
The story, told from both Marissa and Jennys perspective is dark, twisty, so well written and easy to read. You can practically feel the fear and adrenaline running through Marissa and the overwhelming guilt that Jenny is feeling.
I have read every one of Andrea Mara's books and they just keep getting better with every new book. I couldn't put this down and the ending floored me.
This is going to be very easy to sell to my customers, in fact I will insist that they must read this dark, psychological thriller immediately.

4.5 stars rounded up to 5

Marcia Irvine arrives at 14 Tudor Grove, expecting to pickup her young son Milo from his first playdate with a boy at his new school. But the woman who answers the door isn't a mother she recognises. She isn't the Nanny. She doesn't have Milo. And so begins every parents worst nightmare. As the news of the disappearance filters through the quiet Dublin suburb and an unexpected suspect is named, whispers start to spread about the woman most closely connected to the shocking event. Because only one of them may have taken Milo - but they could all be blamed.

What a cleverly crafted story this is. Focusing on four different women, we are drip fed snippets of information revealing the secrets at the heart of ordinary lives. This story is exceptionally well written and told from different characters perspectives. The characters are complex. I was hooked from the first chapter, hoping Milo would be found safe and sound. Filled with red herrings, I found this book hard to put down. I highly recommend this book.

I would like to thank #NetGalley #RandomHouseUK #TransworldPublishers and the author #AndreaMara for my ARC of #AllHerFault in exchange for an honest review.

Marissa Irving arrives at a house to collect her son from a playdate. However, the person who answers the door isn't who she was expecting and her son isn't there. Marissa and the police soon realizes that Milo has been Kidnapped in an elaborate plot. No ransom demands come so why was Milo taken and where is he?
Andrea Mara has written a fantastic book with lots of layers. Every time you think you know the plot something else gets thrown into the mix.. The author certainly keeps the suspense going till the very final pages in an ending you certainly wont see coming. You wont put this book down once you have started it.
Many thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for the opportunity to read an ARC

Penguin Random House SA suggested this title, and since I have received my review copy of this book, I have seen mention of it pop up all over social media. This book is an incredible read and packs a punch. I cannot believe that I have not read any books by this author before.
Andrea Mara tells a gripping tale, and while you read the book you are swept up in the characters experiences and emotions. I loved how she tells the story in a manner that leaves you in rush to reach the end of the book. I read this book over four days and enjoyed every minute. Despite the need to find out what happened to little Milo, I found reading the book relaxing rather than the edge of your seat rushing to reach the end. I have already added some of Andrea Mara’s other titles to my Wishlist.
When Marissa arrives at the house on Tudor Street to collect four-year-old Milo after his first-ever playdate – it is not the kind of house she expected. When an elderly Esther opens the door and tells her she must have the wrong house, Marissa’s world comes tumbling down.
Milo is missing and Marissa has no idea where to start looking for him.
Four women in this quiet Dublin suburb find their lives examined as the rumour mill starts pointing fingers. Who took Milo? Why is there no ransom demand? Will they find Milo before is too late? Why is this happening to Marissa? Who is guilty?
While this was an extremely gripping read, I found myself relaxing as I turned the pages, in no hurry at all to reach the end of this story. I loved that, lately I have found myself racing through books eager to reach the end. All Her Fault was different. I enjoyed reading this book and didn’t want it to finish.
The characters were full of surprises and as each one’s little secrets were revealed I found myself drawn into the drama. I loved how everyone was hiding something. As the story unfolds you are consistently amazed at what people will hide to save face and keep out of the spotlight.
I just loved ‘The Coven’ the three parents at the school that stirred things up with their gossip and superior attitudes. They were brilliant and reminded me of some parents I have met over the years.
All Her Fault is an entertaining read that has earned a five-star rating from me on Good Reads. I loved this book, and I cannot wait to read more books from Andrea Mara.
All Her Fault has everything that will keep you flipping the pages, mystery, and thriller fans as well as general fiction enthusiasts will love this book. In case you are left with any doubt, I cannot recommend this book highly enough. It’s beautifully written and draws you into the lives of the mothers in this quiet Dublin suburb and will deliver a fantastic twist at the end. Go ahead, add this one to your TBR – I promise you will love it.

Thank you to Netgalley, Random House UK/Transworld and Andrea Mara for this ARC in return for my honest review. This is my first book by Andrea but as I was hooked from the opening pages, I've since purchased The Other Side of the Wall and One Click. A roller coaster of a read with many twists that I didn't anticipate at all. Would definitely recommend this thrilling read.
