Wedding in the Pines was a cute 2nd chance romance novel. If you enjoy hallmark movies and clean romances this is 100% the book for you. The story revolves around Hope and her father and his company they both work at and the strain relationship between them since her mother passed away and Slater and his friends who are also the Pine Staff where he is working. They have a company retreat at the Pines the same weekend as the wedding and they see each other for the 1st time since college where they and things ended Bad.

At 1st they try to ignore each other but as the story goes along they find away to forgive some parts of the past and become friends again. Then when they start working together all the feelings from all those years ago come back.

I liked Hope and Slater as charterers and To me Slater was the more likely one. Hope is someone who just doesn't stand up for what she wants and her father was a dick.

If this isn't a hallmark movie one day (or if it already is) I'll be surprised. I listened to the Audio book and the narration was good except for the guy who did the same whinny voice for all females. You know the ones I'm talking about if you listen to Audio. that just takes me out of the story and makes me cringe.

This was a Very PG story. Kissing is as far as anything goes. Which is fine. I like a romance with a little more Spice.

All in all it was a cute book but I wanted the charters to grow a little more and Slater to not be ready to go back to her day 1. and I wanted more Sizzle from them. But if PG Kissing with a happily ever after (Zero conflict if you ask me) then this is a must read.

I'm glad I read it but it wasn't my style of book.
Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for this early release in exchange for my honest review.

Perfect Hallmark movie drawing you in as if you are one of the characters yourself. Exciting love story in a rollercoaster ride as life brings it. Small town love story.

In true Hallmark fashion, this book is full of reunited love and family drama! That being said - It was nice to read a low drama, predictable book. Hope was a lovable character who had made sacrifices in her life due to family events. As she and Slater worked through their past relationship, things got messy.

This was one of those books you can read quickly and can engage in the story. The author did a great job of describing the enchanting area and made me, as the reader, wish I could go on a retreat like this!

Listening to this nicely done audio version of “Wedding in the Pines” was a good way to spend the afternoon. Although this second chance at love trope held no surprises, it was well written. The story was a little sweet for my taste, as holding hands and gazing into each other’s eyes was as hot as it got. Both readers were very good, and the descriptions of the lush landscapes spoken by the deep-voiced male actor was downright sexy. Suitable for young adults and those who love sweet love stories.

I loved this light romance! Hope and Slater was such well rounded characters with a second chance and I couldn't put it down. I listened to this in 2 sittings and was very upset when it was finished. It left me wanting more while also wrapping it up perfectly. highly recommend

Wedding in the Pines: A perfect feel-good romance from Hallmark Publishing by Cassidy Carter
Narrated by Alexander Cendese & Melie Williams
Publisher: Hallmark Publishing
Genre: General Fiction (Adult) | Romance
Publication Date: May 4, 2021

Wedding in the Pines by Cassidy Carter is a sweet, standalone romance about second chances. It does include characters from "Love on Location" by the author, but isn't required reading to fall in love with this book. (I will be reading "Love on Location" very soon though! I just got a copy from Amazon yesterday!)

I absolutely loved this book! It is exactly what I needed from this Hallmark romance novel! It is heartwarming and made me smile. I loved the characters and the setting. The story was well paced and kept my attention. In fact, I didn't to stop reading!

I hope there will be more books with these characters because I would love to see how their lives turn out! (swoon!)

If you love Hallmark romances, then this book is for you!

The narration by Alexander Cendese & Melie Williams was incredible! I loved listening to them bring the story to life.

I'm so grateful to Cassidy Carter, Hallmark Publishing, and NetGalley for providing me with a free copy of this ARC audiobook in exchange for my honest review.

This second chance romance was a cotton candy sweet story that is perfect for Hallmark. Slater and Hope were in love in college but family duties called Hope away and the pair split. Time moves on and through a chance encounter the pair is reunited for a week and then the rest is Hallmark history. All this story lacked was a snow storm and the Christmas holiday season. Overall this was a good story but a bit predictable.

In the audio version, the narrators, were okay Alexander Cendese and Melie Williams did a good job performing the story. It was the first time i have had the pleasure of listening to either narrator perform..

Hope and Slater were passionately in love in college, but family obligations pulled them apart. Many years later they are brought back together. Can they let go of the past and build a future together?

A lovely story, very heartwarming. A quick "read" haha.

The narrators did take a little bit of getting used to, but overall I really enjoyed the story.

*Thank you to the publisher for this eARC.

I was able to listen to an advance recording of this title courtesy of #DreamscapeMedia, by way of #Netgalley. This review is only my opinion. It is not influenced by anyone else's reviews or thoughts. I also posted this review on #Goodreads.

This story fits so well in the Hallmark family. It follows the formula well. It is a quick "feel good" read that is light hearted, easy reading and clean- a perfect read for when you need a break from the stresses of life. The characters are very likeable and I found myself rooting for them. I can see this becoming a tv movie in the not so distant future.

I give the readers a 3 star. They were fine. I struggled a bit at first with the female reader and how her voice most always seemed to drop down at the end of a line, often at the same tone. When she spoke as the characters she didn't do that, only when reading the narrative. Her inflections, or lack of, annoyed me a bit. The male reader startled me when he first started reading. He was louder and a bit hard in his speaking patterns. I actually wish I had read the book instead of listening to it. I am sure both readers are good at what they do. I just didn't care that much for their voices in telling this story.

Thank you to NetGalley and Hallmark Publishing for the Advance Listen. I love Hallmark movies. Audiobooks are just as good as their shows. Loved the characters and how they all came together in the end. Very cute and fun love story. Enjoyed the back drop of Wedding in the Pines too. What a magical place! The female narrator did a great job. The male narrator well he did great for the masculine voices but the women's voices were just not right, they were to scratchy and scraggly. Otherwise a wonderful listen.

Hallmark always gives me all the feels! This was exactly what I needed right now. This cute romance was predictable but helped cheer up my mood. I was rooting for the couple the entire time and thought they had good chemistry! I also liked the narrators.

Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for a copy to honestly review.

Tried to start listening to this and could not stand the narrators voice.
So will not be finishing this and hoping to find an audio title I like better.

A huge thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for this early release in exchange for my honest review.

l treasure a classic Hallmark christmas movie romance, even though this wasn't a christmas story. It had all the elements of what I love about Hallmark Channel during the holidays. It was a sweet story and I liked the two protagonists.

Wedding in the Pines is probably gonna be turned into a hallmark movie and I'm here for it, Second chance romance set in a cute little resort in the pines. Hope and Slader have a past together and when they are thrown together for the week, and boom the feelings start and then BAM they fall in love.

This is exactly what I would expect from a Hallmark Romance. It was a perfectly sweet second chance romance set in a cute little resort in the pines. Hope and Slader have a past together and when they are thrown together for the week, old feelings reemerge.
Hope left Slader when things got tough for her. She had an ailing mother and a father that wanted her to go into the family business instead of pursue her dreams with Slader. After her mother passed away, she threw herself into her job and was making something of herself. When she organizes a business conference at the same resort that her first love works at, she wonders if she made the right choice all those years ago.
Slader isn't completely innocent in all of this, he just let her walk away, knowing how bad things were for her. He didn't fight for her. Seeing his two best friends getting married the same week his ex fiance walks back into his life is a little too close to home.
As soon as they see each other again, you can feel the sparks and it is obvious that they have never gotten over one another. It is only a matter of time before they find a way to make it work. This is a low angst story with all the sweet feels of a Hallmark movie.
The narrators did a great job with this book, I have heard them both before and knew I enjoyed them before I requested this.
Thank you to Netgalley, Hallmark Publishing and the author for an early audio copy.
