The art style of this was amazing, I could almost imagine this as like an animated film. The story line was good too. Thank you to the publishers for providing me with a copy of the book to review.

The colour pallet is bright and bubbling off the page along with the host of characters we meet. The plot intrigued with Elle and the multiple sides to her. I wish it were longer as there was so much that was being delved into with Elle and her ongoing inner battles. However as this was the first book, I am guessing more will be revealed in the books to come.
Accessible and an engaging read.

A great introduction to graphic novels for teens. The characters were great but it ended too soon - I’m sure my teen students would want the read the next instalment though. Beautiful artwork.

Such a fascinating and intriguing story. The artwork is great, very colourful and easy on the eye, what I would describe as soft, which gave me a very comfortable feeling even though the story actually has some very sharp edges and a mystery.

Elle is a new girl at school and quickly makes friends, but when she is placed under pressure she has different personalities that take over. When Elle's friends realise this, they decide to stick by her but there is a mystery that goes deeper than her multiple personalities.

Someone is following Elle about and it seems that her parents might not actually be her parents. Elle needs to find out what is going on and her friends decide to help her. This volume ends on a cliff hanger leaving the reader with a myriad of questions but story packs a punch and it will be worth reading the next volume!

I usually don't read graphic novels, I've read only a handful in the past few years, so I'm definitely not an expert on this genre, but I absolutely adored this book! I truly loved everything about it, from the graphics to the word to the entire story, definitely worth a read.

Why was this so short? Why?

Elle(s) was such an interesting read. From the cover, you already get a lot of information, and it's amazing how different all Elles look. I had an inkling what the book was going to be about and the synopsis confirmed it.

Reading the first installment was a delight. As mentioned, all versions of Elle are really different, and it's not only the hair colours that change, but her mood, behaviour, confidence, style and personality. It is so cool to see those changes and to notice the details that happen. It's especially fun whenever she changes more than once in a single page. Not only that, but I loved seeing the Elles habitat (not sure what to call it), and I want to see more.

It's cool to have such supporting side characters, and while we got to meet and see Elle's relationship with her, it's clear not all of them were given the same attention. However, this is only 90 pages long, so it's not something that is annoying. On the contrary, given how little pages the story had, the author did a great job.

Finally, I have to talk about the art syle, which is incredible, and helped the story a lot. It was really colourful, which highlighted Elles changes even more.

I'm intrigued to see what will happen in the second part. I guess I'll now have to wait.

Loved this one, the POV of the kids was so fun to read, and the art work really lended itself to the story. I 'd recommend this novel and I hope you enjoy it too!

It was a quick fun read I loved Elle and just all the characters in general and how concerned they where for elle. It such a cool concept how her outer appearance change when ever her mood changed. It left in a cliffhanger so I iam just patiently waiting for the sequel. The illustration where unestky my favorite I love this style of drawing and it was so bright, fun and freshed. There was a point where it was difficult to read but I think that was because of the translation I hope they fix that..

Thank you netgally and the publisher for giving me a free copy of Elle(s) for an honest review.

This graphic novel ended WAY WAY WAYYYY to quick. This book felt like watching an amazing anime but better. Like a few more pages to extend that cliffhanger and character development would have made this book so much better.

An interesting story. Was much shorter than I thought it was going to be. The premise is interesting but the story and characters seem rushed and underdeveloped. The art is great, and I love the different colors of her hair change with her personalities (? I was unclear on if they were separate personalities or her changing moods).

Elle(s) is so much more than I thought! I was expecting something completely different than this powerful graphic novel on mental illness. I want more!!!

This comic is filled with gorgeous illustrations that look like they could shine in real-life off the page. It seems like some magic or superpowers could be involved, or perhaps a creative interpretation of multiple personality disorder. The story is definitely intriguing and I can see many of my students loving the art design, but I’m wondering if part of the plot was lost in translation because the English storyline doesn’t seem to piece together correctly. Thank you Netgalley and the publishers for this beautiful ARC.

4 Stars ( I received an e-arc from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review)

This is such an interesting plot to be included in a middle grade/ children’s graphic novel, I am proud to see that mental health and neuro-divergence are being explored for a younger generation. Elle is starting over at new school after an incident at her previous one and her struggles with all the emotions she is feeling. She starts to make new friends, and is appears to be having a good time, but sometimes intense stress can cause her emotions to go haywire. Her new friends are confused but determined to understand Elle and help her to deal with her problems. Near the end we get some new information that ends on a cliff hanger, though I have an idea of what might be revealed going forward. I love that when Elle’s mood changes her hair colour and style adapts to suit that mood. The art style is bright and cartoon like but at the same time also has more structure than typical children’s stories. Cannot wait to read the second volume when it comes out.

THe art is gorgeous but I felt the story was lacking. It just didnt resonate with me and I couldn't read this very well which probably doesnt help.

I really enjoyed this one! It definitely suffers a little from "first book syndrome" where not a lot happens but that wasn't too much of a detriment. I really enjoyed getting to know Elle, her personalities and the friends she encounters. This was a really refreshing take on mental health and how it impacts your life. It didn't demonise Elle or make it seem like life was hopeless.

The art style was also great! It felt like it could easily translate to a tv show! The vibrant colours and disney-like cartoon style was really cool and gave it this whimsical and fun vibe that really uplifted the story. And I thought differentiating between the personalities by their hair was good as it made it very easy for me to track who was who!

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for a copy for review. All thoughts are my own.

Synopsis:
Have you met the new girl? She's so cool isn't she? That's what everyone thinks about Elle. What they see is a sweet girl who down to earth and super likeable. Elle instantly makes friends with a group of long time friends. In many ways, Elle is like the missing person in the friend group. However, one day Elle starts to act weird. She begins to have random mood changes that can change instantly. When these occur Elle isn't like herself at all; she's a new person entirely. Her friends try to help her figure out what's going on and how they can stop it. What they don't expect is to learn that Elle isn't who they (or even Elle) thought she was.
Rating: 4 stars

Thoughts:
I really enjoyed this graphic novel! It is fast paced and full of adventure. The art style is stunning!
I was a bit disappointed that I did not get to see how Elle and her friends develop their friendship. It seemed a bit too quick with very little detail. The story ends on a cliffhanger which is a bit disappointing too. I think that this story would translate well to being a show, possibly a short series.
I look forward to reading the next volume! I cannot wait to find out what happens next!

Grade Recommendation: 6th +

Oh, no! I need more of this - asap!

Elle(s) is a very very nice graphic novel - this is just the introduction, it starts as a normal slice of life with teens in school, but soon you realize that it's about something more than that. It felt short, it's a quick read. The art is gorgeous and so vibrant! I NEED MORE!
