this story started off very fast pace, then became kind of slow and confusing. Listening to it made it confusing for me. if I could recommend anything it would be to add some type of sound effect maybe to keep the listener feeling like they are in the story.
I had heard of Diane Capri, but never read any of her books, so I wasn't familiar with her style or any of the characters. Having said that I really enjoyed this book. It was easy to listen to and fast paced. I listened while on a trip and it made the time fly by. I highly recommend this book.
My thanks to Net Galley for this audio to review.
Reporter Jess Kimballs son was kidnapped years ago. Governor Helen Sullivan's son was murdered in a car crash and a horrific event occurred to distract the Governor from finding out who killed her son. These 2 women come together to help each other solve their respective tragedies.
Interesting characters, fast paced, intelligently written with engaging narration.
