“Brave Like Me: A Story about Finding Your Courage” by Christine Peck and Mags Deroma is scheduled to release in 7 days! This book is bright and colorful, sure to engage the youngest readers! Wyatt, the lion, is very brave until he finds himself center stage. With the help of his furry friends, Wyatt discovers strategies for finding his courage. “Brave Like Me” is another great title to help build your young child’s emotional vocabulary and to normalize fear and other difficult emotions.

As always, I’m grateful to the publisher and NetGalley for providing an advanced digital copy in exchange for an honest review. The words and opinions are all my own.

Being brave doesn't mean that nothing scares you. It means that you are willing to work through what is scary. The illustrations on this on are bright, vibrant, and fun.

YES! Such an incredible message here! Someone might *look* brave but it isn't always the case. I love the lead-up to Wyatt's stage entrance. Super cute! Adore this book!

Never has it been more important for us to be helping children build self-esteem and become confident and so books like this will be a wonderful tool for parents/carers and teachers to use. Wyatt is a loveable character and young children will relate easily to him. There are some great ideas at the end of the book and I think this series will be a welcome addition to the bookshelf.

Brave Like Me is a good read for little ones! The illustrations are very cute and I think it flowed nicely. This would be a good book to read to little ones when they are about to go to school or try something new as it’s a good conversation starter about being brave. Overall, a cute book with a good message!

Brave Like Me helps children to see that even the most brave individuals (or animals in this example) have fears that they must overcome. Through encouragement by the illustrated audience and the readers, Wyatt the lion is able to overcome his stage fright and perform! The book is vibrant and engaging for young elementary readers!
