Hunter was such a strong broody power keg of emotion and phobias. Kate is the strong woman who is a teddy bear when she needs be. Adored their past history and connection as friends. Jamieson has wrote an funny yet deeply emotional story that gives a fresh look at mental health and not being afraid to talk about it.

Kate works as a sports agent. It's her dream job because she adores hockey.
She is just in the beginning of her career but she is doing OK.
Until Hunter Morissette calls her. THE Hunter she spent with a couple of days in Cancun years ago. Hot, steamy, sexy days...her friend from college. The one who disappeared.
And now he wants her as his agent. Is it a good idea?
I liked this book. It was a nice story. The characters, too.

I adored this book so much. Hunter and Kate were wonderful and I loved their friendship and chemistry. This is my favorite of the Bears series and I can’t wait to read what Kelly writes next!

Good premise and story, I just wish that the series had more hockey in it.. not just conveniently having the book start in the off-season.

This is my first book by Kelly Jamieson and I really enjoyed it! It was funny and sweet, but also had depth. Hunter is so much more than just a hockey player and Kate is so supportive and strong. Their chemistry and friendship was so wonderful to read about. Can’t wait for more from this author.

A steamy past that comes back just as strong. Hunter and Kate bring their past into a business/ friends setting that you know is going to set the pages a blaze. As a huge Hockey fan this book is right up my alley. A sports a agent to the hockey gods made this book even more interesting to read. I love a romance that teaches me things, aside from the steaminess.
Their story is quirky and passionate and inspiring. Overcoming and succeeding in a career that take all of your mental strength whilst having a mental and emotional illness is what makes this romance even more special to read. Hunter’s challenges make him more than a hero in this story they make him real.
I love their story two people reconnecting and becoming more than they ever thought.

What great characters!
Both Kate and Hunter have baggage but they also have a solid bond that was forged in true friendship
The way they click together
The easy banter between them
The smoking hot chemistry

Kate is a woman in a man's world - scream all you want people its truth - Kate has insecurities, she knows she has to work smarter and she already has a couple of marks against her ( you will see)
But dang if she isn't the schnitzel!

Hunter has his own demons and despite what the world sees he battles them constantly
but Kate?
She's always been his, happy place

Their dreams are within their grasps

The question is can they find a balance that allows them to pursue their individual dreams and be together?

A fun friends to lovers romance that will have you laughing, cheering, drying a few stray tears, and loving ❤their happily ever after

Another entertaining edition to this series!

Hunter and Kate knew each other in college, were friends in college, then Cancun happened! Say what?!?

Now it's several years later and Hunter needs a new agent and Kate just happens to be an up and coming one. Their backstory really made this story. Seeing them struggle with their feelings and then struggle with their professional relationship all while Hunter is dealing with his past.

If you've read books 1&2 - then you know what I mean. Glad to see their stories all have HEA's.

This was a fun, entertaining sports romance.

I voluntarily requested and read an uncorrected advance reader copy.

Second chance romance to melt your heart.

Talk Hockey To Me is the third book in the ‘Bears Hockey’ series by Kelly Jamieson. After having read the first two books, I was invested in this series. Hunter and Kate brought a great story with them. I was captivated from the outset.
Hunter and Kate met in college, they were both interested in the other, but were just friends until one night…
Kate never saw Hunter again.
Hunter always wanted to explain why he left the next day and what happened afterward.
Both have struggled in the intervening years but when the chips are down and his career on the line, it’s Kate that Hunter turns to.
Kate is working hard to be a sports agent, so when Hunter asks her to represent him during his contract negotiations for the NHL, she should be jumping for joy. This could make her career!
But, she’d need to see and talk to Hunter again.
With all they had once meant to each other, it was easier than she thought.
Hunter and Kate are a great couple, who had some baggage to sort through.
This was a well written story with enough angst to keep it interesting but with some fun moments too along with the steamy times.

Talk Hockey to Me is the third book of the Bears Hockey series. I love this series. I am also thankful to Kelly Jamieson for pointing out the importance of the mental health issues once again and while doing this she doesn’t do it depressingly. Even though this book can be read as a standalone, I recommend you to read the first two books of the series, Must Love Dogs…And Hockey and You Had Me at Hockey.

Hunter Morrisette plays hockey for the New Jersey Storm and the season just ended for his team. The end of the season is really important for him because his contract is up for renewal. Unfortunately, his agent, Vern Tayhan had a heart attack, and he won’t be back to work for a while. Hunter was looking forward to getting a longer contract with good pay, however, with his agent out of commission, he is in a hard place. Even years after the tragic accident he had, he is still struggling with PTSD. He thinks is his last chance to get a long-term contract. Hunter thinks there is only one person that can get him what he wants, Kate Bridges. Hockey is Kate’s life. All her life she ate and breathed hockey and after a successful hockey career in college, she decided to become an agent. She is still a rookie and after the bullying, she went through on her last company, she decided to go on her own. She is smart, strong, and caring. There is nothing she won’t do for her clients and what I loved the most is instead of overlooking her clients’ mistakes, she shows them the right way and coaches them to be better. While she is taking care of her clients, she is also trying to sign new players. But not in a million years, she would have expected a phone call from Hunter asking her to be his agent. Hunter and Kate knew each other from Bayard College. Since they both played hockey for the college teams and run in the same circles, they became pretty good friends. I really enjoyed the flashback to their college years; it wasn’t long but really helpful to get the know the characters better. I was rooting for them especially after seeing too many missed chances, but the timing was never right for them. Now after four years, their roads cross paths once again. Kate is not sure how their professional relationship will work after that sizzling hot night in Cancun, but she needs a new client and Hunter needs someone who understands him and does everything to get what he needs. Even though they do their best to fight the attraction between them, with every minute they spend together it becomes harder. I loved how supportive and understanding they’re with each other, their banter is sweet and fun, and their trust and friendship made me fall in love with them even more.

If you are looking for a sweet, inspiring, and un-put-downable second chance / friends-to-lovers story, this book might be just for you :)

Right before he was due to become a free agent, Hunter's agent fell ill, and he needed to find someone he could trust - fast! The first person who came to mind was Kate. Will this woman from his past help propel him into his future or will she break him?

This is it! The final Warrior story, and it included one of my favorite tropes - second chance romance. That's right. These two enjoyed friendship and a few benefits when they were in college. I was happy to see those important parts of their past via flashbacks, because I am trash for that sort of thing. I also loved getting to see who they were and who they became.

As I previously mentioned, Hunter was the last of the Warriors trio we needed to meet. Each book in this series focused on one of the men involved in the deadly crash, and how it affected their lives. Hunter actually walked away physically intact, not a scratch. His wounds were mental, and now he had to deal with the fallout or risk losing things that were important to him. It's always great to see mental health incorporated into a story to normalize it, and I appreciated its inclusion. I loved seeing Hunter face his demons, and I was proud of the progress he made.

The serious stuff was great, but so was the romance. When I was reading the flashbacks, I mourned all those missed opportunities and the bad timing they experienced. I lamented the years Hunter and Kate could have been together, because let me tell you, it was undeniable that these two belonged to one another. You could just tell that they were each other's "person". You know, that person you can be your most open and authentic self with. The one who accepts you, scars and all.

This was a great addition to a solid series. I am not sure if this is the end for the Bears (I hope not!), but I am elated that I got to see each of these survivors get their HEA.

This was a quick read but a solid book. Storyline flowed, kept me interested and the main two characters I adored. Hunter and Kate go through college together...both secretly crushing on each other. They stay friends and have tons in common with the biggest being they both play hockey. On a vacation with friends, these two have an amazing night together. But Hunter is gone the next day drafted into the NHL. They text briefly but lose touch.

Hunter and Kate have both been through a lot the next few years. Hunter struggles to be the best hockey player he can be and is dealing with some trauma. Don't want to give too much away about that part. Kate becomes a sports agent and while she doesn't have a lot of clients, she is busting her butt to become established. When Hunter suddenly needs a new agent, the first person he thinks of is Kate. Can he face her after the way they left things between them?

I was so glad that there was so much back story to these two at the start of the book. It really laid out there how closely these two had once been connected and how easily it is for them to fall back into being friends or possibly more. Great read with some funny as well as some steamy scenes. Look forward to reading about some of the other characters in the book.

In Talk Hockey to Me, the third book of the Bears Hockey series, author Kelly Jamieson dove deep into the mental aspect of PTSD, following the fatal accident that Hunter Morrisette and his teammates experienced years prior as younger hockey players. The first two books in the series (Must Love Dogs…and Hockey and You Had Me at Hockey) tell the story from Hunter’s teammate’s POV…now we get his. We also get to see a second chance with Hunter and his college “friend”, Kate Bridges…who now works as a sports agent.

I loved this slow burn, second chance romance!!! I loved the strength in the heroine, the healing of the hero, and the emotional rollercoaster throughout this storyline. It is a hockey romance, but it gives you a look at other sides of hockey (background, trading, etc…) more than actual on-ice times. The author has written an incredible healing romance! I just loved everything about this. 5 stars!

M/F Romance
Triggers: Accident trauma

Kate loves her job. She’s good at it and loves her clients. But starting out, she didn’t love her job. She had to work through bad business, poor co-workers, and misogynistic ideology. Now that Kate has struck out on her own, she truly wants to make it, not only for her clients, but for herself.

Hunter is an amazing hockey player. He has his quirks, but he has worked very hard to get where he is. When his agent has a sudden heart attack, Hunter worries that he’ll have to find another agent. Hunter is in a critical year – a contract year – and he will have to fight for what he wants.

Hunter and Kate have always been friendly. They knew each other years ago... their history is somewhat complicated, but now that they are both adults, entrenched in their careers, they can move past it and be professional... right?

These two have great chemistry. They have history, which helps create a sense of friendship before the business aspect of their relationship develops. Kate wants to help all of her clients, but Hunter most of all. His past trauma has held him back long enough.

Can Hunter see past the trauma to heal enough to take a chance? Has Kate ruined her chance to be with Hunter and ruined her reputation in the process? This was a great story with cute characters that you can relate to. I enjoyed it a lot and can’t wait for more books!

This is the third book in the series, and although it definitely involves the Bears, it has so far concentrated on men who were on a fatal coach crash as teens and how it has affected their hockey futures. I would highly recommend that you read them in order to be able to gain the full richness of the storyline.

Hunter suffered no physical injury on the coach, but it has affected his life deeply. It delayed his transit into the NHL and his attitude to others is always to avoid getting too involved. He would, however, have to admit that Kate was always the one who got away – so when he needs an agent, he turns to her. Kate never understood just why her best friend in college turned his back on her, but now they are working together, and the attraction is still bubbling...

There was much to enjoy about this book – the incidents which Kate had to resolve for her clients added some of the humour. I did, at points, feel that there was an awful lot of in their heads conversations, and sometimes descriptions of simple tasks which didn't lead to anything seemed unnecessary, but that said, I romped through it. I loved how Jake and Easton, and their girlfriends, were key to Hunter moving forward. It was essential that Kate had the strength of character to pull it off and give them a chance at a much happier future, which they both richly deserved.

No actual hockey was involved in the writing of this book. This story does involve hockey players and a sports agent.

Hunter and Kate went to college together back in the day. Freshmen at the same college, played on the collegiate hockey teams and, in their senior year, their respective teams won the National Championships. A trip to Cancun, a drunken night on the beach, and a goodbye note was all it was meant to be.

Both Kate and Hunter look back at their friendship over the years and realize that there were a lot of missed opportunities and "if onlys" had taken place that could have made their drunken one-night stand a more permanent relationship back then. But it didn't. Now, Hunter needs an agent and Kate doesn't know if she can be the agent that Hunter needs. She knows that she will do the best she can for him, but what she can do for him may not be what he thinks he needs.

Hunter finally opens up to Kate about his PTSD from a bus crash in his teens that killed several of his friends and teammates the year he was looking to enter the NHL draft. He admits the reason he doesn't want to play for the Bears hockey team is because two of the current players were also on the bus that day. He can't face them or the memories seeing them every day might bring up.

This book explores PTSD and how it not only affects the person experiencing it, but the family and friends of the survivor. Understanding that PTSD is not only from physical wounds, but also mental anguish is key to understanding how to acknowledge someone's pain.

Hunter reaches out to his therapist after Kate does something that he explicitly tells her not to do, and after his therapist talks to him, he realizes that Kate's love for him never wavered in that all she wants is to help heal him and allow him to be the best he can be.

This was a perfect read for May, Mental Health Awareness Month, you see Hunter had been through a horrific accident when he was a teenager and now years later he is still suffering from PTSD. He has been coping with things for a while, but, now that his agent has fallen ill and he needs to find a new one as well as his NHL contract ending soon it's putting him on edge so things are starting to get bad for him again.

Kelly Jamieson did a wonderful job with showing us how vulnerable Mental Illness can make a person feel, but with the right people in their corner they can work through things and feel more in control.

This story takes us on a journey through several years. We start off with present day and then we go back to college when Hunter and Kate were good friends and in their senior year they spent one amazing night together. I loved the way Hunter and Kate were together, not only the amazing chemistry but the friendship that they had was wonderful. They were both protective of the other and wanted only the best for them no matter what that may mean for them.

This was a great way to wrap up the three former Warriors' stories and I am really looking forward to reading about some of the other Bears Hockey Players. If you enjoy Steamy Contemporary Romances, Second Chance At Love, or Sports Romances I would recommend this book to you.

Happy Reading!!!

I was utterly smitten with this book!
Kate and Hunter became friends in college, and you felt their admiration toward one another. They had a hot and steamy night in a college trip to Cancun, which you hope would be the start of something more, but Hunter is drafted to the NHL and leaves the next day.

Five years later, when Hunter contacts Kate to be his agent, the sparks immediately fly, and the chemistry is palpable. But it was their conversations and playful banter that gave me all the warm and fuzzy feels. Her ability to see the person he is at the core. His admiration and respect for her love of hockey and talents as an agent. The book also had a few laugh-out-loud moments that still bring a smile to my face.

Talk Hockey to Me is a hockey romance between a player and his agent who happens to be a longtime friend. It was interesting to see a different side of hockey, the business of contract negotiations, from the player's perspective.

The beginning of the book took a little bit for me to get into, but once the story really started rolling, it was completely worth the read.

This book is my first time reading Kelly Jamieson, and I can't wait to read the other books in the series and her backlist. Talk Hockey to Me is the third book in the series and can be read as a standalone.

TALK HOCKEY TO ME is the third instalment in Kelly Jamieson’s contemporary, adult BEARS HOCKEY erotic, hockey romance series. This is hockey player Hunter Morrisette, and sports agent Kate Bridges’ story line. TALK HOCKEY TO ME can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story lines is revealed where necessary.

NOTE: Once again, Kelly Jamieson pulls from real world events in both the junior and professional hockey leagues including the tragedy of the Humboldt Broncos bus crash of 2018.

Told from dual first person perspectives (Hunter and Kate) TALK HOCKEY TO ME follows the rekindling romance and friendship between twenty-six year old, hockey player Hunter Morrisette, and sports agent Kate Bridges. Kate and Hunter were friends in college but Hunter ghosted Kate following a one-night stand in Cancun while on spring break, breaking our heroine’s heart in the process. Fast forward to present day whererin Hunter Morrisette is now a free agent but his rep had a heart attack forcing Hunter to look for new representation. Enter sports agent Kate Bridges. What ensues is the building professional and romantic relationship between Kate and Hunter, and the potential fall-out as Hunter struggles with what was and what will never be.

Hunter Morrisette struggles with issues of PTSD in the years following the bus crash that claimed the life of so many of his friends but an offer from the New York Bears, where several of his former teammates now work and play finds our hero, once again struggling with PTSD, and the memories from the night that he soon won’t forget. Kate Bridges knows a thing or two about hockey having played the sport most of her life but when the opportunity came to represent our hero, Kate was reluctant, refusing to let Hunter break her heart, a second time. Fairly new to the business, Kate is excited to get Hunter as a client but battles between head and heart when personal feelings continue to re-emerge.

The relationship between Hunter and Kate is a former friends to lovers, second chance romance. Hunter ghosted our heroine following a one-night stand, and Kate refused to cross the line now that their relationship was professional but old feelings and emotions pull at her heart, and Kate is hoping their friendship turns into something more. The $ex scenes are intimate and passionate without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.

The secondary and supporting characters include Hunter’s former teammates Eaton Millar and Josh Heller; Kate’s father Joe Bridges, and he brother Ryan.

TALK HOCKEY TO ME is a story of struggle and loss, of second chances and love, of acceptance and moving forward. The premise is emotional; the romance is captivating; the characters are broken, dynamic and strong.

Kelly Jamieson gets a hat trick with book three in the Bears Hockey series, TALK HOCKEY TO ME. In this story, NHL player Hunter Morrisette needs a new agent at a critical time in his career. He looks to his college friend and sports agent Kate Bridges. They have not seen each other since they were on a group vacation in Cancun right after the Frozen Four Championship. They spent the night together and have not talked since.

I love the characters in this story. Kate is the daughter of the GM of the Chicago Aces. She also played college hockey. Hunter was on the Swift Current Warriors bus crash when he played juniors. He suffers anxiety as a result. He was best friends with Easton Millar (Book #1, MUST LOVE DOGS...AND HOCKEY) and Josh Heller (Book #2, YOU HAD ME AT HOCKEY). It was thought-provoking how each man handled the tragedy differently. It was heartbreaking how much they all suffered.

TALK HOCKEY TO ME was skillfully written. The characters faced interesting obstacles and challenges. I love that Kate and Hunter get a second chance together. I like how the story overlapped with the previous two novels. I appreciated that the book had some crossover with Kelly Jamieson’s Aces Hockey and Bayard Hockey series. The book could be read as a stand-alone but a strongly suggest reading the previous two books first. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.

Hunter and Kate met in college and became quite close friends. After a vacation that changed their direction they went their separate ways. Given that they were such close friends it was disappointing how quickly they went their own way. This story is set a few years in the future and finds Hunter needing an agent and reaches out to Kate who has now become one.

I really enjoyed learning about the world of agents., It was very interesting

There are sweet moments, funny ones and very emotional ones. I wish that Hunter's character had been a bit more open with Kate so they could have avoided the misunderstandings.

It was fun to catch up with a few characters from other books.

Love this quote from the book" Life is a bunch of little moments all strung up together to make make up bigger moments and a life. We need to appreciate every one of those moments" words to live by!

Hunter Morrisette and Kate Bridges have history. They became friends in college, and crossed the line into more one incredible night, followed by a move and years of no contact before Hunter is at a point where he needs a new agent, and decides that Kate, who is building her name as one, becomes the one he wants.

TALK HOCKEY TO ME by Kelly Jamieson is the third in her Bears Hockey series, and is a terrific read. Kate and Hunter are well written and engaging. Each has reasons to be guarded, and it is a delight to see their friendship and trust grow and evolve.

Ms Jamieson's characters pulled me in, and really kept me reading. I loved their shared passion for the sport and the demands pulling them in different directions felt very realistic. Ms Jamieson covers lots of emotional ground with grace, and Talk Hockey to Me is an excellent addition to this series.
