This book was a bit disappointing. There was a lack of steam and honestly Zack and Alice were quite annoying at times. I was hoping for more from this author and felt a bit let down.

I loved the idea of an alphabet of dates and enjoyed watching the relationship between Alice and Zach develop as they took it in turns to introduce each other to the things they like to do, pushing them out of their comfort zone at times but helping them find out more about each other. Yes, there are bumps and misunderstandings along the way, but we just know the happy ending will come. Light, easy, romantic reading.

I really enjoyed this unusual, humourous book about a couple who are rather different but decide to theme their dates on the alphabet.

I found both of the main characters likeable and the story was well developed. I think I'd happily read a sequel to the book.

The only bit of cheesiness was right at the end though I'll leave it to the reader to decide on that.

Many thanks to #NetGalley and Harper Collins for letting me have an ARC of the Book in exchange for my honest review. I'll be following this author in the future.

Really really enjoyed this read. Loved the characters and the fact that they were Alice and Zach and the idea of dates beginning with each letter of the alphabet! Typically the relationship doesn't run smoothly but this all added to the fun.
Was sad to have finished the book. Ideal holiday reading. Highly recommended.

"The A to Z of Us": 3⭐

(Unpaid Review: thank you to @netgalley, @hannahdoyleauthor and the publishers for allowing me to read this eArc copy in exchange for a review.)

What I most liked about this book was that it was enchanting and the characters were completely adorable! The author brought us amazing, lovable scenes where we can get lost in.

However, their relationship seemed a bit too rushed. I mean, I'm not a huge fan of slow-burn but in this case, I actually would've liked it. Alice and Zach just happened. Where was the foundation of that?

The writing is very easy to understand, which made the book super fast to get by! A lovely Summer read for sure!

I thought the premise of the book was adorable and fun, but I struggled to connect with Alice and Zach. They felt very immature to me.

Thank you to Netgalley and HQ Digital
Publishing for the opportunity to read and review this book. I will be honest, this was a story that I enjoyed while reading but it was difficult coming back to it once I put it down. When I did read it though, I loved the concept of the alphabet themed dates and how unique they were with the variety of both adventurous yet comfortable all at the same time. I loved that there was both a journey of self-discovery and life lessons learned from both main characters but, at the same time, I felt that there was a lot of the same conflicts over and over again towards the end to just keep it going. I think if there was a variety, like the dates, it would have enhanced the story. Overall, I think that I would recommend this story for someone who wants to read a romance story with a variety of dates and personal journey experiences but I would make some changes. Because of these points, I have to give this book a 3.5 out of 5 stars

“The A-to-Z of Us” is romcom story that will warm your heart and keep you guessing whether Alice and Zach will be together. To see if they are meant to be together, each date they go on begins with the next letter of the alphabet keeping the reader hooked to see what date they will go on next.

This was so cute and sweet, but I found myself annoyed with the characters more than I found myself enjoying the book.
Alice and Zach meet at his art exhibition and immediately connect. Due to their names being on opposite ends of the alphabet, they decide to go on alphabetical dates.
The premise is absolutely adorable and definitely something that I would do. However, Alice and Zach have multiple misunderstandings and fights throughout the book that left me wanting. Alice is unable to trust Zach due to his previous relationship, even though the situation wasn’t something he was fully aware of. This made me beyond frustrated, and I put this book down a couple of times to calm down. I did greatly enjoy the variety of dates they went on and the progress seen in them as individuals.

What a fabulous book. We are introduced to the characters of Alice and Zach with their A to Z dating list and a whole lot of baggage as well.
A well written romantic comedy with relatable characters.
I loved this book by Hannah Doyle. It definitely did not disappoint

This book was very sweet and charming. Alice and Zach are both flawed in their own ways, and it was a cute premise to put them on A to Z dates. Perhaps a bit too saccharine in places, at around N I kept feeling like we were dragging on a bit with the same old song and dance, but the different dates set up for fun banter between the protagonists and the other people in their lives.

Nat, Raff, and Ellie made for entertaining side characters whenever Alice and Zach started to get a bit dull. A little more chaos would've nicely shaken up the book, so I couldn't read this straight away, but stealing away a chapter or two here or there it was a better way to dole out the sweetness of the book. I feel that if I had read it more continuously I might not have finished, but that's purely my preference. I'm more of a fan of books when the couple gets together towards the end of the book than straight away. Would definitely recommend for a sweet rom com escape.

I absolutely loved this story, lots of moments that made me smile. I liked the the way the author incorporated the alphabet dates into the story and I found myself often guessing what the date would be for the next letter. Such a feel good book that made me smile throughout. Will definitely be recommending to family and friends

Overall I thought this was a great book! I was surprised by the twists in the plot, and happy with the ending.

The A-Z of Us is the story of Alice, our self confessed love cynic nicknamed “The Bolter” and Zach, our arty romantic who believes in “love love” and a happily ever after. Alice and Zach decide to embark on 26 dates each beginning with a letter of the alphabet despite Alice’s previous ‘3 date rule’. This is a concept I loved, I enjoyed discovering what they chose for each individual letter and reading about the date that followed. In some ways this felt much more “real life” and likely to happen than some of the whirlwind, fantastical and wholly unrealistic romances that you read in other novels. It was also quite refreshing that Alice was our sceptical of love, commitment-phobe character rather than a “bad boy” male lead. It was great that Zach was able to show his more emotive and sensitive side.
Despite enjoying the concept of the book and the role reversal from traditional boy/girl character types, I didn’t however feel that the A-Z of Us gripped me as much as I had hoped. In many aspects I found Alice to be quite frustrating and I generally didn’t connect with the characters. This was quite disappointing, especially as I found the opening and first chapter of the book to be hilarious. I particularly wish we had heard more of Natalie, from the first chapter Natalie felt like she could be a strong, amusing and relatable character however her role in the A-Z of Us felt sidelined and underdeveloped. Perhaps the snippets of Natalies love life and personal development have left us open to a second book in a potential series from Hannah Doyle?
If so, despite my qualms with Alice and Zach, I would continue to read about Natalies story.
In summary, the A-Z of Us is an easy-going and uplifting read that I would still recommend to friends and family who enjoy a no frills romance. I just sadly didn't get the depth and connection with the characters that I wanted on this occasion.

This was a fabulous book- I’ve not read anything by Hannah Doyle before but will now be looking her up. The A-Z had a lovely twist/focus to their dating and gave a nice spin to a typical romance story. Easy to read, and likeable characters. I’d recommend!

This book was a cute premise but kind of a trite execution that I didn't enjoy; the relationship felt clunky and unrealistic. I appreciated the conceit of the book but it just didn't do it for me.

This is a sweet, lighthearted romance as the two main characters date their way through the alphabet. Alice is a cynic when it comes to love and has yet to have more than 3 dates with the same man and Zach is a hopeless romantic. What better way for them to get to know each other since their first initials are the bookends of the alphabet.

It's a super cute & original story line. Most of the time, I was rooting for them and enjoying their dates, but sometimes I found Alice & Zach so frustrating! Thankfully, the fun and cuteness overuled.

It's a quick read and perfect for the summer!

I received this book as an advanced reader copy from NetGalley. It is a great summer read I said is quick and relatable. Alice and Jack are charming and it is cute how the author built it all around the alphabet.
