2.5 stars -This book was okay. The characters were pretty likeable, but this was more a “will they stay together “ rather than a “will they get together “ book. The A to Z date idea was cute and I liked that the male lead was the die hard romantic one, but there just wasn’t a ton going on in this book. It felt like a very realistic love story. It was cute, just not exciting.
I don’t know if it was just formatting issues with the ebook that are yet to be fixed, but sometimes the flow of the dialogue was confusing -trying to figure out who was saying what. Also, there are a few times, more towards the beginning where there are jumps in plot that are confusing. For example, the night the characters met and are talking, then it suddenly mentions them doing papier-mâché? Huh? Again, it could just be unfixed formatting issues in the ebook.
Thank you to NetGalley and HQ Digital Publishing for providing me access to this eARC!

I loved this romcom novel! Alice and Zach are so dang cute together!
I enjoyed the writing but felt it to drag a bit.
But overall this was a 4 star for me!

This was such a cute book with a twist on regular relationships. One thing I loved about this book was how it got straight into it - the protagonists meet in the first chapter, so the reader is drawn in from the very beginning. This book was addictive and I found myself putting off all my other work to read it! Although there were times where the declarations of admiration seemed a bit OTT, the book overall was very sweet and I would recommend for anyone who enjoys an easy, funny, romantic read!

The story of Alice and Zach. At opposite ends of the alphabet and also opposite in terms of their views of love. Alice doesn't want anything serious, and Zach wants to fall in love and have a family.
He manages to convince her to date him, with dates from A-Z. She didn't think they would get past C, but is giving him a chance. They have some wobbles along the way so what will happen as they near Z?

A great read.

Hopes Alices friend Nat gets her own book next.

Okay, this book is adorable! Come on, the idea to have dates that correspond with the alphabet... LOVED IT! Alice and Zach, the bookends to the alphabet, were the absolute cutest couple. I so enjoyed reading how these two meet and fall in love. This is the first book I’ve read by Hannah Doyle and would love to read more. Her writing style was easy to read and her characters felt so real.
5 stars!

I received an ARC and chose to give my honest opinion - thank you NetGalley and HQ!!

"The A to Z of Us" is an extremely cute romance novel! There isn't a better word to describe it! CUTE CUTE CUTE!

So basically Alice and Zach meet in a art exhibition (honestly, their meet-cute was hilarious. I've read it/wacthed it many times but it was sooooo funny) and because of their names, they decide to go on alphabetical themed dates, despite Alice's aversion to love and commitment.

Each date is (for the most part) very original and would have a fun spin on it. Through these, we get to meet both Alice and Zach - who really are the stars of this book!

Zach is a softie! A sweet, loving and understanding guy. He has a lot of insecurities but seeing conquer them was so touching!
Alice, on the other hand, is a self-proclaimed cynic when it comes to love. But what really captured my attention was her energy - Alice was definitely living her life, enjoying her youth, being bubbly and unapologetically herself.

Unfortunately, the pacing seemed a bid weird to me (not particularly bad - just different than what I'm used to).

On the whole, it was incredibly entertaining and fluffy!

This opposites attract romance takes you on the ups and downs of 26 dates. Enjoy following commitment phobe, Alice and cinnamon roll romantic, Zach through their alphabet inspired romance. It’s easy to get invested in these characters and the land mines they end up facing with family, friends, insecurities and expectations. I was on the edge of my seat the entire time cheering this couple on. With the very PG nature of the book in its closed door sexy times, you’ll feel comfortable sharing the book with all of your family and friends.

The A to Z of Us by Hannah Doyle is a cute, fluffy romantic comedy perfect for fans of Sophie Kinsella. The story revolves around Alice, a cynic who doesn't believe in love, and Zach, a romantic. Since their names begin with A and Z, they decide to embark on an A to Z adventure and go on dates that follow the letters of the alphabet. Here is an excerpt from Chapter One, when Alice first meets Zach at an art gallery:

"'And then she said something about ragu and the Amalfi Coast and earth red. I mean, talk about pretentious. It was a black square. It was even called 'Black Square'! Want to hear the best bit? It cost four hundred and fifty quid! The artist must be laughing all the way to the bank. I could literally have painted that myself,' I snort.
It dawns on me that the man on the bar stool next to mine has been listening for some time, his deep green eyes looking at me intently.
That's interesting, because 'Black Square' was inspired by the Amalfi Coast. My family are Italian,' he says.
I'm confused. Who is this absolute snack next to me?
'I don't think we've met,' he smiles, holding out a hand. 'I'm Zach and this is my exhibition.'"

Although I typically read fantasy and thrillers, sometimes, I need a break from more heavy topics and intense books. I picked up The A to Z of Us in between some "deeper" reads, and it was just what I needed. After reading about the dark sides of humanity, I realized that I wanted something funny and romantic. The A to Z of Us fulfilled my need for a light-hearted read. I did take off one star though, because after the novelty of the concept of the alphabetical dates wore off, the book started to lose steam. Neither the romance nor the humor maintained my interest. Although it's not the best book I ever read, I did enjoy reading it, and I highly recommend it for all fans of rom-coms.

Overall, The A to Z of Us by Hannah Doyle is a perfectly fine romantic comedy. If you're looking for a break between more intense reads like I was, you won't regret checking out this book when it comes out in June!
