Thank you NetGalley and the publisher for an eARC in exchange for an honest review.

I have enjoyed each book in the Angelbound series. I love how each character has been built up and I will continue to return to this series.

I got through the first book without a hitch, but afterwards I just couldn't continue. I was barraged with cliches upon cliches (I couldn't get the e accent). It's a perfectly fine series with nice character development as well as interesting new concepts, but it reminded me of a cross between Percy Jackson and Shadowhunters. For people that would be interested in that, please, read ahead, but personally I found the resemblance a bit too uncanny. I could sense that the author was really trying for us the two main characters to fall in love, but to me, it seemed shallow. I'd recommend this book to anyone that likes magic hierarchies, as well as new folklore (which I appreciate). I'd give it 3 stars simply because the idea behind it was nice, but the execution... not so much.

I was given an ARC on NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

Angelbound Offspring Box Set (#1-5) by Christina Bauer gave you one place to get your demon, dragon, angel fix. You had a one stop read of:
Maxon
Portia
Zinnia
Rhodes
Kaps

The offspring were full of adventure and fun. This NA/YA Fantasy, Sci-Fi, Paranormal was just what my weekend wanted to see.

Welcome to Angelbound. The amazing world built by Christina Bauer to keep her followers happy. Bauer then populates this world with characters that are so well written, you see them step off the page into your mind as you read. This box set contains 3 Angelbound books and you dont' have to read all 3 of them at once, but I did and it didn't kill me, just left me scrambling for the next book. This may be fantasy or sci fi or paranormal or romance or.....well, whatever genre you want it to be, just read them.

Thank you to Netgalley, the author and publishers for providing a copy. I have reviewed honestly.

This series was fun and exciting, with lovable and real characters. The writing style was enticing, though I did find some scenes seemed to drag. I also loved the raw world building.

This box-set contains 3 stories of adventure in the after-realms. The first story tells of Lianna's ascension to leader of the water elementals with the help of Prince Maxon. The second story follows Princess Portia (Maxon's sister) as she and Emperor Tempest seek magical seeds to rebuild the ties between worlds and prevent Armageddon. The third story follows Zinnia (Portia & Tempest's daughter) as she is used in a revenge plot to summon a great evil dragon. The stories tie nicely together and the cast of side characters are delightful.

I really enjoyed the world building in this series - it was unlike most urban fantasy novels I have read. My only request would have been some kind of glossary/kingdom list to keep all the creature types organized.

This was a really fun read! It was nice to have the collection so I could quickly move through the series. It wasn’t my absolute favorite but it was still good. I really liked that each book was about a different character so I didn’t get bored with it. If you’re looking for a good fantasy novel with multiple supernatural beings then this is for you.

I can't say I loved these books but they were definitely an interesting read.
I struggled at times but the author did try to keep my interest.

I usually like reading Bauer. Maybe it was because I read all at once.

Angelbound Offspring Box Set – Christina Bauer

I was given a copy of this box set by the publisher in order to provide an honest review.

This box set contains the first 5 books in the series, namely “Maxon”, “Portia”, “Zinnia”, “Rhodes” and “Kaps”.

Christina Bauer is an American author who writes many fantasy stories. Besides the “Angelbound Offspring” series she has also written the “Pixieland Diaries” and the “Beholder” series plus many more.

“Maxon” is the tale of the dragon shifter prince and heir apparent, thought that is something he would happily ignore and forget. He is happier spending his time fighting his way through demons and ploughing his way through the many women that catch his eye, though none stroke the flame in his heart. That is until the naïve elemental stumbles her way into his world, Lianna. But as he soon discovers she is the new monarkki of water and as such is now being hunted by the monarkki of air. Together Maxon and Lianna battle the enemies facing them, in an epic us against the world fight.

“Portia” is the tale of the younger sister of Prince Maxon. Her magic threatens to end her existence as she knows it and transform her into what is known as a void demon. Yet Portia doesn’t simply accept her fate. She reads and studies to uncover a way to stop the evitable. Yet she must team up with the most unlikeliest of partners in order to achieve her goal. This partner is the greater demon of wrath and lust, her brother’s least favourite person in existence.

“Zinnia” is a tale of the one twin daughter of the dragon emperor and empress. However, she is drugged, presumed dead and kidnapped at a young age – torn from her family. Now she wakes up to find she doesn’t know who she is or where she is from. Zinnia is brainwashed to believe she is the last of her kind and trained daily to fight and kill. Little does she know her handler’s plan is to have her body possessed with the soul of the evil Chimera and bring about the end of all that she truly holds dear.

“Rhodes” follows the tale of Zinnia’s mate – Rhodes. Though her parents still have not accepted him he does all he can to protect his Zinnia. The man who tried to take her away from them all is still at large and Rhodes will do all he can to end him and keep Zinnia safe. But that is easier said than done. His parents are against their being together, as they are of lower status than the royals, insisting he should be happy with his lot and strive to be more like his father. But Rhodes just knows that is not meant to be and breaks all the rules me must to be with Zinnia and protect her until the danger against her is gone for good.

“Kaps” is the story of Zinnia’s twin sister. When Zinnia was taken from their family Kaps was never the same. Taking on different personas such as the rock chick and family screw up as the occasion suited her needs. But now one of her adventures or rather misadventures, lands her trouble but also just where she needs to be. Hunting down a relic which leads to a kidnapping of her own but also right into the arms of the one she is fated to be with. Yet his people are suffering and in danger so together they fight to save his people.

“Angelbound Offspring” series is a fantasy series filled with tales about dragon shifters, magic and demons. I like how the books are easily linked to another and therefore easy as a reader to follow. Though I did find the individual stories to be quite short by themselves – but I personally do prefer longer stories compared to short ones. Parts of the series seemed reminiscent of Sarah J Maas but more suited to a slighter younger audience, definitely a series suited to a younger YA audience. All in all, it was a pleasant read that was easy and enjoyable.
