Poetry books are always so hard to review, because poetry is such a delicate thing. I always say poetry is an expression of the soul, so talking about someone's poems, is talking about them.

This book was beautifully laid out, with some lovely drawings that go along with the words on the pages. I thought it was cute, and I think a lot of people are going to find a lot of love and comfort between its pages.

That being said, this book wasn't for me. I think I'm far away from the author, and the topics talked about weren't singing to my soul. It touches a lot on kids, which I don't have, and God, who's not a part of my life. So I struggled a lot to read about all these things that I couldn't really feel.

The prose is simple, and it rhymes like what my brain classifies as 'old school poetry', each poem comes with an explanation on why the author wrote it and where the inspiration came from too. I thought it was lovely, but once again, not in line with what I like in poetry. I think the magical thing about poetry is that most of the time you don't really know what the author is talking about, and that's why it's so easy to adapt it and feel connected to it. Having a story behind the poetry, for me, broke that magical connection.

All that being said, the book was short and sweet and easy to read and I really did love all the drawing and pretty layout.

I was given a free ARC by NetGallery for my honest review. Thank you for giving me the change of reading this before release!

As a parent, I really enjoyed this book of poetry. There were a couple of poems that just enveloped me and brought tears to my eyes. I shared a few with my spouse and we reminisced about our lives and children. This is a fantastic books of poems.

This book brought tears of happiness to me. Such a lovely collection of poems and inspiration. I very much enjoyed reading the book Tears of Change by Debbie Monteggia and can feel her beautiful energy coming through every page of the book. If you are dealing with something troubling, feeling stressed, or anxious, or maybe you just need a little boost, then this book is right for you. You will find beauty and saddness in the the pages, but in the end, those tears will change as the future holds so much for us. A great book to read over and over again, and to give to a special person in your life as a gift.

What an absolutely stunning set of poems. I adored each and every poem that was clearly written with a lot of thought and loving care. I very much enjoyed the notes on what inspired each poem and felt that it provides the reader with a much deeper connection to the poem. Would thoroughly recommend.

Tears of change is beautifully written and I like the pictures in the book to it breaks the writing up. I like how she’s wrote about her life and what’s she been through and I like how she explains why she wrote her poems.
Thank you NetGalley for letting me read this book.
