At first I didn't like Lily, she really annoyed the heck out of me. Levi kept saying she was sassy and he liked that about her but I just found her mean and rude. It wasn't until the middle of the book that I could stand her and could deal with her and was glad that they got together I mean Levi was after her like a flea on a dog. I dont think I was used to Lora's books being so sexual, but hey who doesn't like sexiness. I didn't know that this was the third book, I am assuming that we are going to get her sisters book next.

Another great read from Lora Leigh. I have never been disappointed from one of her books. Strong sexy male character and enduring stubborn female. Together makes a last great story.

I maybe needed the second Moving Violations book more than I needed this one. I wanted to love it, but it just didn't land for me. Lily is so strong and so fierce about living her life and not letting her attacker win, but I think she pushed it a little too far for me. It felt like she was cutting off her nose to spite her face a lot of the time. Their combined secrets and her insisting that everything be done her way was just too much in one book.

Book three in the Moving Violations series is just as interesting and intense as the firs two books in the series. Lora Leigh, brings Lily Donovan and Levi Roberts together in the finale, and these two sure have a lot of secrets between them!

Lily, the school teacher has a past that comes threatening her present, and Levi, former ranger is undercover helping to bring a dangerous criminal to justice. A criminal closely linked to Lily, and a danger that threatens her life. When sparks ignite into passion between Lily and Levi, and secrets break open in their relationship that may break them apart, it's up to Levi to protect the woman who holds his heart, and Lily has to put her faith and belief in Levi to bring her home.

A great finale to Lora Leigh's series.

Trigger warning: Attempted rape and violence
Review: This is the 3rd book in the Moving Violations series by Lora Leigh. A new reader could easily read this book as a standalone, since the plotline is not developed throughout the series.

Lily Donovan, elementary school teacher, is keeping a secret from her family and town that is now putting her life at risk. Despite the US Marshals warning her about an escaped prisoner and asking her to come in for protective custody, she continues to keep quiet and pray that everything goes okay.

Meanwhile, Levi Roberts has just been hired at Lily’s cousin Jacob’s ranch. He’s definitely able to catch her attention in his jeans, but she works hard at keeping him at arm’s length. He’s also got a big secret of his own. Levi’s really a US Marshall, who’s undercover and assigned to be watching over her, but getting a little too involved. Fairly fast-paced with a bit of intrigue and a lot of steam.

This is part of a series, but works as a stand alone well enough. I haven't read the others in this series, and I wasn't lost at all. I have added the others to my to read list. I'm hoping the next book we follow Shay and her ER nurse? The characters are well developed and likeable. They do grow some and are really good for each other. I think Lily and Levi are well suited. While I'm sure they still have some growing to do, they are headed in the right direction. I did think the ending was abrupt though. I was hoping there would be more about their future or some thing beyond being released from the hospital. Maybe we will get more in the next book? I'm hoping anyways. I dont think their story is done. I can't wait to read more in this series.

Wow this book was just so good and so easy to get lost in. I thoroughly enjoyed myself and I just didn't want the story to end. I just couldn't get enough of these wonderful characters and I just loved getting to see their journey. I will most definitely be reading more stories from this wonderful author.

I received an arc from NetGalley and this is my honest opinion.
I was intrigued by the story line in this book and enjoyed reading about Levi and Lily.
I did sometimes tune out or skim through the intimate parts at times but overall a great read.
4 stars

This romantic western intrigue is beautifully written. She introduces us to Lilly Donovan, a elementary school teacher , who was formally very out going and outspoken, and always up for a dare. Nowadays, she’s unlikely to put herself out there, after surviving an attack and testifying against her attacker.
Levi Roberts, her undercover Marshall’s Service bodyguard knows all her secrets, but can’t tell her he does and is here to protect her. He feels guilty because she doesn’t know who he is, but makes sure he gets close to do his job, until it becomes more than his job.
Ms. Leigh paints a small town, but one populated by heroes, and one that definitely takes care of it’s own, Her characters are well defined, some with flaws, but mostly the type we’d all love as neighbors. Lily’s family unit is strong and help her get through the difficulties she faces,
A great Romance/Intrigue with heat. I received a NetGalley ARC to peruse and offer my opinion freely.

WOW!!! This series just keeps getting better and better. This book took on an edge of the seat ride right from page 1. I truly love the way this book drew out the suspense of if or when Lily’s attacker would strike again.. I also loved the way Levi & Lily clicked right from the start, their was chemistry even when she didn’t want it. They were extremely hot together. The strength that Lily had to deal with her attack & attempted murder was amazing. I enjoyed how the authors kept giving us a little flashbacks of the torture without giving it all away at once. I’m definitely looking forward to the next book in this series. Definitely recommend. Thank you to the publisher & Net Galley for letting me read this book for an honest review.

Her Renegade Cowboy is the third and supposedly final book in Lora Leigh's Moving Violations series. I didn't read book 1, but I did read the second book (Sallie and Jacob's story). I didn't love it for various reasons, but I do like Lora Leigh, so I decided to give book 3 a shot. I found this this book to be much better but still a little problematic.

Lily and Levi meet at Lily's cousin Jacob's ranch, where Levi is the newest hire. There's instant attraction and also a little antagonism (mostly on Lily's part), but they get past that and into bed pretty quickly. (The fact that Lily was nearly a rape victim--trigger alert--is glossed over when it comes to L&L getting physical, I felt). The conflict comes in the fact that Lily is still recovering emotionally from being attacked a couple of years ago (or a year, or a little more than a year, or a year and a half...it isn't very clear). That she was a victim is something she's keeping a secret from everyone except her parents and her BFFs. However, her nightmare is resurrected when she receives a call from the US Marshals that her attacker escaped from prison and is likely holding a grudge.

So back to the relationship. As their sexy times morph into something more (and this part is handled much better than in book 2), Lily starts to worry that if Levi knew that a serial rapist and would-be serial killer had her in his sights, Levi would be all, "Don't need the cray-cray" and would dump her.

Levi, however, has secrets of his own. He's not a ranch hand but a US Marshal sent to keep his eye on Lily since Lily refused witness protection. The timeline is a little off, though, because Levi was hired before the bad guy broke out of prison. Anyway, as days pass without apprehending the bad guy, Levi gets in deeper with Lily. He thinks telling her about HIS cray-cray will cause Lily to dump HIM.

The actual suspense part doesn't come in until pretty close to the end of the book, so if you're a true fan of the suspense part of romantic suspense, you might be disappointed. For my taste, I would have preferred both knowing a little more about the original attack up front (it's fed to us in bits and pieces whenever Lily has a nightmare) and then more present-day cat-and-mouse interactions between Lily and the bad guy.

Overall, this book is a decent and quick read, but it's not something for the keeper shelf.

I received an ARC of this book from the publisher and Netgalley in exchange for my honest opinion. Thanks!

Lily lives in a small town and like all small towns everybody know everyone's business, except Lily's . She is has a secret that she has only shared with her sister and best friend and once her cousin finds out he will do everything in his powder to protect her. Levi is an undercover working at Lily's cousins ranch trying to protect Lily without her knowing. He maybe the only one who can stop the one person who plans on destroying everything in her life including her.

Suspenseful and exciting, enjoyed Her Renegade Cowboy and plan on purchasing it once it comes out. Each character in the book is very interesting and I hope a few of them have their own story.

Thanks Netgalley for allowing me to read this book. lily is enjoying a quiet life living with her family. Levi Roberts is working undercover to capture a deadly individual. While working he catches the eye of Lily. Lily wants nothing to do with men after her previous relationship. It takes some time, but Lily does grow to like Levi.

I loved both Lily and Levi - but I hate the "I'm keeping a secret from you for your own good" trope.

The end was a little predictable, but I enjoyed the story nonetheless.

Get ready because reading this book will definitely make you hot. The story was not that bad, but I really couldn't relate to Lilly and her behavior was in my opinion completely impropriate. You could be stubborn I don't mind that but jeopardizing her and other lives so not right. Levi is ok, for him this is it, love at first sight. A story about family, with action and suspense.
I volunteered to review an ARC of this book for NetGalley

Good book. Smoking hot sex scenes and a bit of action at the end. If that's your recipe for a good read you've found it here!

“Her Renegade Cowboy” is a first time read by Lora Leigh, a new author to this reader. Not having read the first book in this series, I thought this the second was just a really wonderfully written story and a delightful read.

The story centers on Lily, a school teacher who carries a secret that she has only told to a few within her circle. Upon hearing that the person she helped put behind bars has escaped, she decides that she does not want the help of the sheriff. Unknown to her, Levi who has been hired by her cousin as a ranch hand, is an undercover Marshall sent to protect her regardless of what she wants. Although Lily plays the strong and independent type, I enjoyed how Levi chipped away at her shell but not appearing interested in her at all...which made her second guess his motives. The heroine is a likeable character who is strong but yet cares about those close to her and no harm coming towards them. Once you continue reading through the story, it provides a better understanding of why she holds this secret close to her. I too liked Levi as her protector although he was a bit selfish with not telling her who he really was in order for their relationship to continue to grow without any complicated lies. As always, I do like a bit of steamy between my characters and the intimate scenes did not disappoint between the H/h.

This was a well-written story by Ms. Leigh but would have been a bit better if the angst could have come a lot sooner. There is mystery, suspense, and romance. I truly enjoyed the plot and the pace that gets you to that happily ever after. Looking forward to reading the first in this series and reading more from this author. Recommend the read.

Thank you NetGalley and St. Martin’s Press for this ARC in exchange for my fair and honest review. All opinions in this review are my own.

I requested to read and review this book for free from St. Martin Publishing Company. This is a cute easy read. It does have suspense, mystery, drama, romance. As a reader you have an idea of how you think the book will go. But you don't know if it will or how it will end. I think this book did all that and much more. Characters in the book are Levi that is good at his job and even if he doesn't know it looking for more in his personal life. Lily strong stubborn as a mule and don't worry her sister Shay is just like her. Also in this book is Justice, Sallie and Jacob. This book is for a mature reader and can be read anywhere.

Lily has been keeping a secret for a couple of yrs. Not even her cousin knows the big public secret she keeps hidden. One day she noticed a new ranch hand and for some reason she slowly opens to him but when she finds out who he was she didn't know to be thankful or hurt. All she wants is the ones she loves safe and for her to take the problem in her own hands and deal with serial psychopath on her own. This book shows everyone that she is brave and hard headed and has love for everyone.

Lily and Levi’s story starts with intense chemistry and includes one intense secret. I do wish the book focused a little bit less on their attraction only because the plot of trying to protect Lily from someone who wants their revenge felt like a back burner plot.

Thanks to NetGalley and St Martins for the arc.
