I really liked this book and I was a bit surprised by how much I liked it given I did not warm to the main character, Codi. Somehow that didn’t matter as the author took me through a real block buster of a thriller. I loved the pace and the writing style, with credible dialogue and interactions between characters. A must read for thriller fans.

Codi is amazing! Non-stop action with this kickass agent. There are a few story lines going on. The old mail heist has Codi and Joel looking into the cold case. There is a mine that is not licensed but has precious stones and a more that the owner doesn't want known. There are terrorists too. So there is lots going on. So it is easy to feel like Codi and Joel is just jumping around with no rhyme or reason. But it does all pull together into a good thriller. I was entertained and liked the story.

A rip-roaring, never stopping tale of greed and desire - people exploitation and murder, radioactive materials and mining against the background of a murder from long ago, only discovered when a reservoir was drained and the drowned time came to life again. Another case for Cody and her partner - she can outdo James, James Bond any day. Poor man wouldn't stand a chance. Over the top action and derring do but a good escapist read. Thanks to NetGalley, BooksGoSocial for an advance copy and the author for a beta version.
