I loved this book, I listened to the audiobook and thought the narrator was great! The characters were all well developed and interesting, the scenery well described and the storyline itself was easy to follow and held my attention throughout. I listened to this book quickly and can’t wait to read the next one that will come in this series!

A nice second chance romance about 2 characters at turning points in their lives that see them coming back to their home town. I enjoyed the introduction to Seashell Harbor and fully intend on reading the rest of the series (I see potential for at least 3 more books). I didn't even mind all that much that this was closed door/fade to black as far as spicyness is concerned. 3.5 out of 5 wine glasses.

Coming Home to Seashell Harbor opens with former first loves each returning to their hometown after her overly-public breakup with a celebrity and his career-ending football injury. This is the first in a new series by the author. Full of tropes you find in an uncomplicated, second-chance love story. Nonetheless, I found it a pleasant story with likeable and kind characters, especially Hadley's grandmother. I loved the dogs and Hadley's passion for the rescue organization. I'll read the next book in the series.

Thank you to Net Galley and Orange Sky Audio for an ALC of this book. My opinion is my own.

The picturesque Victorian town of Seashell Harbor, with a seaside park and plenty of petunias, holds memories of a painful teen-age break up for Hadley and Cam. Hadley, now a big city public relations executive, returns here at age 35 when her heart is broken by current beau Cooper. Cam is back, too, after an injury cut short his superstar status football career.
Cam's goal is to open a trendy Italian restaurant to add vibrancy to the community. Hadley's reunion with her past love is not a happy one since the chosen location for his new venture is the building where Cam's Gran's failing dog boarding service is housed. A rivalry for ownership and goals begins, but a ceiling collapse catastrophe on a rainy night leads to a special kiss on the floor of the Pooch Palace. Will these two discover that they now have more in common than a shared love for rescue of dogs needing love and homes?
Liasson's story, told through the engaging narration of Kate Marcin, warmly and vividly describes a summer of new beginnings and self-discovery. Cam and Hadley connect to the community, as well as each other, in small town activities such as a Blueberry Festival with food trucks, local art, and a dog adoption booth. They work together on a big July outdoor Medical Services Benefit fundraiser for Pediatric care. Readers meet friends and family of these two, as well as some endearing dogs. The story captures the best of community, family, friendship, and furry friends in a lovely seaside community setting. I will eagerly await more books about Seashell Harbor since this book is first in a series.
Thank you to Net Galley and Orange Sky Audio for an Advanced Reader copy of the audiobook and opportunity to review.

It’s a summer of renewal for Hadley Wells, who returns home to Seashell Harbor after her famous boyfriend betrays her love and leaves her heartbroken in Los Angeles. Meanwhile, Tony Cammareri, a renowned football player and Hadley’s first love, suffers a career-ending knee injury that leaves the Type A personality without a future.
After years apart, Hadley and Tony find themselves back in Seashell Harbor, looking for hope in what appears to be an embarrassing and bleak future. Unknown to Hadley, her former beau is the first to return and brings his money along with the idea he could start a restaurant in his hometown as a second career. The best building in Seashell Harbor happens to belong to Hadley’s beloved grandmother, who runs a dog kennel and is thinking seriously about retirement.
Before Hadley can stop any plans, Tony, not knowing Hadley is returning, offers to buy the building and renovate it into his future business. But Hadley will not allow such a travesty to happen. First, Tony breaks her high school heart, and now he wants to destroy her grandmother’s legacy by destroying any sign of its former existence. Hadley can’t stand the idea of her grandmother’s building changing identity and sets off to rebuild her grandmother’s dying business and prevent Tony from buying it.
Once Hadley’s grandmother breaks her hip and is forced into the hospital, it is up to Hadley and Tony to compete over which one will offer Hadley’s grandmother the winning proposal.
Hint: Hadley’s grandmother really likes Tony. But Hadley is grandma’s second daughter.
Who will win in this quick summer read? Hmm. Not too hard to guess. But, this book is about romance, not a mystery.
Coming Home to Seashell Harbor, by romance novelist Miranda Liasson is, in this case, an audiobook, which is narrated by Kate Marcin and produced by Orange Sky Audio. Coming Home to Seashell Harbor will be available for purchase next Tuesday, June 29.
This love story is the perfect way to beat the heat in traffic, wandering around with laundry in your hands, or sitting at the beach with the images of Seashell Harbor taking form in your face. Coming Home to Seashell Harbor is a tall glass of ice water on an otherwise boiling hot day.

Review: Coming Home to Seashell Harbor by Miranda Liasson

This is such a sweet feel good story! It is fast paced and there is lots going on to keep you connected to the story. It was a fast read for me for sure. I read this book in a combination of audiobook and physical copy.

Our main character, Hadley is coming home after a nasty break-up with her famous boyfriend. When she gets home her grandmother is in the hospital so she has to take over her business and keeps running into her ex, Cam (or Tony? He has two names) - much to her annoyance. There are lots of cute puppies in this one! The arc of this story is finding value in where you are and how difficult big decisions may be. There is a great cast of character to this one as well - I love that about a small town romance.

I enjoyed this book but I wanted more chemistry between the main characters. While they talked about it, we didn’t feel it. You know me - I can always use some steam - this one only has a few kisses. I recommend this to my romance readers who like less steam, a sweet small town romance or a second chance romance with a large cast of characters. This is the first in a series.

Thank you so much to @readforeverpub and @NetGalley for my copies of this book!

i adored this adorable sweet second chance romance. When a retired hotshot football player and a publicist recovering from her own media storm both end up in their hometown odds are they are going to fall into some serious fun and hopefully in love.

I LOVE to read series and when I saw that this was going to be the first in a series I was so excited to get started from the very beginning. The story set up the small town, the main cast of characters, friend groups and families. I fell in love with not only Hadley and Cam but also with everyone else. This small town even had a meddling grandmother and adorable rescue dogs!!

The story set up an antagonistic relationship that it never took too far and gave the reader a fairly positive and happy romance with some fun situations.

I chose not to finish this book. It was not my cup of tea. I am rarely a fan of the enemies to lovers troupe, and this one didn't do it for me. The dialogue felt generic and I didn't really feel for any of the characters. Maybe I was just not in the right frame of mind for this book at this time. It might be a cute, light romance for someone else to love!

This audiobook was very entertaining. The narrator was excellent at creating a unique voice for each character without taking you out of the story. The story was a classic beach-read style romance, with the right amount of conflict and happiness.

This book was a light, super fun romance listen. I was lucky enough to be allowed access to the audiobook by the publisher and Netgalley. This is a great start to a new series. This was my first book by this author. I adore second chance romances especially when they have cute pets in them. The small town aspect was fun and the fact that Hadley rescues dogs. Cam, "Tony", was a fun, light hearted hero. It was well written and enjoyable. There really wasn't any part of it that stood out to me as sensational. It was a typical cute romance. This was my first book by this author. I would definitely read the next one in the series. The author definitely sets up potential storylines for future books in this series.

Coming Home to Seashell Harbor was a heartwarming second chance romance about following your heart. It did have an element of enemies to lovers, which is another favorite romance trope of mine. The two main characters Hadley Wells and Tony Cammareri, had palpable and magnetic chemistry. I kept rooting for them throughout the book. I wanted to visit Seashell Harbor and meet all of these characters. Overall this was an enjoyable tender romance novel. This was a closed-door romance.

Thank you Forever, OrangeSky Audio, and NetGalley for my gifted book and audiobook in exchange for my honest review.

This was a cute, summery beach read. Even though it wasn’t anything spectacular, I did enjoy the main characters and the overall plot. I also enjoyed the epilogue and how it rounded out the story!

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the advanced audiobook of this book.

Highschool sweethearts that went their separate ways only to end up back in their hometown at the same time. Nothing can go wrong there, right? Hadley returned home from a very public breakup in Hollywood; Cam is returning home after his NFL career ended. Both are searching for something will it be each other? Hadley's grandmother runs a dog rescue and she has come home to help her grandmother run it while she recuperates from a broken leg. Cam has investors that want to capitalize on his NFL fame and his name to open a restaurant. Trouble is they want the same building. Hadley's grandmother told Cam he could buy the building. Well you know how this turns out. They both compete for the building but who will end up with the building but more importantly will they fall back in love again.

This is the first book i've read (or actually, listened to) by Miranda Liasson and I enjoyed it. A small town, second-chance romance, this book follows Hadley and Cam. Hadley returned home after she broke up with her famous ex- she needed a place to hide. Cam, a football star returned home because his career ended after his knee injury. 17 years ago, Cam broke up with Hadley via post-it note and Hadley hasn't really gotten over it. I do think that that was a little bit much for her to hold on to such anger so long after, especially since they were both kids. But the issue was resolved relatively early and then it was more about the growth of their new relationship as they competed to see who would take over her grandmother's building after she retired. The supporting cast was good. Overall, the people were relatable and likable. There were moments when the story felt a little slow but generally, I found myself very entrenched in the story.

The narration by Kate Mancin was very well done- she did a great job with all the different voices, whether female or male. Great pacing, great voice and generally, nice cadence. Thanks to NetGalley for an early listen.

A very cute and romantic story about suddenly standing face to face with a long lost high school love, who, back then, left you broken-hearted.
While the emphasis is on the romantic story, it is also a story about reinventing yourself, when fate has turned your life upside down.

I enjoyed the audiobook. The narrator is quite pleasent to listen to, and I found it quite easy to get lost in the story.

A very lovely read!

Note: I will post reviews on Goodreads and Instagram on July 29th 2021.

Sweet, gentle, small town romance. Hadley Wells returns to her hometown after working in public relations at a high profile California firm. She has also had a very public break-up and needs to come home and regroup. Her high school sweetheart and first love Tony Cammareri is also in town. He went on to football in the NFL and a recent injury has ended his career.

Arriving in town Hadley learns her beloved Grandma has broken her hip. Her grandmother's property is a possibility for an a new restaurant for Tony or a no kill shelter for Hadley. And grandma oddly puts them in competition with each other for the building. Hadley and Tony like and respect each other and aren't opposed to rekindling their relationship.

This book is a non-complicated second chance romance. I enjoyed listening to the audio book and the author did well with the various characters. I could easily different side characters as being potential main characters for future books. Unfortunately I didn't find any of the characters overly memorable (although I liked the animals a lot). The middle part of the book dragged slowly and I felt view points of the MC's got repetitive.

I would recommend this book for as a low angst read. It is clean for language and intimacy is off the page. Thank you to NetGalley and the Orangesky Audio for a ARC audiobook in exchange for an honest review.

Thank you to NetGalley and Orange Sky Audio for the early listen! What a fabulous listen. The narrator did an amazing job telling the story. Loved all the characters. All very likable. This will be a very fun read on a nice hot summer day next to the swimming pool. A very feel good story of love and loss and rekindling of that love.

Hadley Wells pretty much swoons every times she is around first love Tony Cammareri. They are both back in Seashell Harbor but for very different reasons. For Hadley, her grandmother is recovering from an injury and Hadley is in town to assist her. Having had her heart broken recently, this gives Hadley a time to heal, all while pursuing a dream she once had. WIth regard to Tony, he had the ideal football career but all that is gone due to a career-ending injury. He has an idea to start a restaurant,

Hadley and Tony both have fond memories of their past, although their lives have gone into different directions for years. Will they get a second chance at love despite major obstacles in their path? There is a building up for grabs - will it be for a no-kill shelter Hadley dreams of starting, or for Tony's new restaurant? Only one of them will get the building. Will pursuit of their dreams push them further apart than ever, even though the spark of attraction is so powerful between them?

I had Coming Home to Seashell Harbor as an audiobook ARC and I was very pleased with Kate Marcin's narration. She did a fine job with the various voices and inflections and this added to my enjoyment of an already warm story. This is the first book in a new series and that makes my heart sing. I enjoyed the story, the characters and the competion between them. There was an additional character who snagged my heart and that was Hadley's grandmother. Then, factor in the dogs in the story and what we have is a very well-rounded story.

Many thanks to Forever, OrangeSky Audio and to NetGalley for this ARC for review. This is my honest opinion.

Five chapters in and this will be a DNF. A 35 year old woman goes home for the summer after a public breakup. Finds out her high school love (who broke up with her on a post-it note) is back in town wanting to buy her grandma's building. Everyone tiptoes around her and the HS boyfriend and it is annoying. Something that happened almost 20 years ago and she can't let it go.

I tried... maybe the storyline does improve but I find her too annoying to continue.
