There is nothing I love more than an erotic novel mixed with an element of dragons.
I found this novel to be extremely and thoroughly entertaining, especially with the storyline. A classic storyline of dragon vs witch mixed with eroticism. Truly makes for a sizzling novel. This novel has it all from alien spacecraft, dragons, witches etc. I highly encourage others to read this novel for themselves as I am sure it will also pique your interests.

I enjoyed reading this book, the interaction and chemistry between the characters of Jessie and Orik is wonderful. This book, has a good storyline, it is entertaining, and filled with action, adventure, and intrigue. I can't wait for more from this author.

This is the second book I have read by Kiersten Fay, having previously read the first book in the same series, Tempting the Dragon King.

Our heroine Jessie is trapped on an alien spacecraft, floating through space, when the ship is boarded by a group of intimidating men who turn out to be Dragon Shifters. Taken to the Dragon King's palace, she meets Oric, one of the King's Guard who is suspicious of Jessie and where she comes from.

While Jessie navigates her new surroundings, she also has to get used to some hidden powers that she wasn't aware she possessed, while Oric is torn between his natural dislike of magic and his intense attraction to Jessie.

I have to say I am really impressed with this series, as I enjoyed this second instalment just as much as the first.
I'm always a fan of a grumpy, brooding hero, and as Jessie's confidence grows she really gives Oric a run for his money, which gives us plenty of banter and chemistry.

I think this book would be suited to fans of the Ice Planet Barbarian series and other alien romance, although it also has some paranormal and supernatural elements to be enjoyed as well.

Dragons in Space I know so many people will love this. Unfortunately it's not my cup of tea. I gave it 3 stars due to the fact that I know others will like it even though I didn't. I've never read a Kiersten Fey book before however I will look to see if there is one more my style.

Really enjoyed this emotionally thrilling, fun and action-packed journey filled with intriguing and engaging charters, witty dialog, heart racing twists and undeniable passion. Highly entertaining adventure from beginning to end.

This is the second book of the Dragon Lords series by Kiersten Fay. This book features Orik Theroux of the King's Guard and Jessie Knight who was jettisoned into space and intercepted by the Dragon shifters.

Jessie and Orik is kind of an opposites attract type of romance. Jessie is super outgoing and Orik is more of an introvert who respects contral. They are a good match because they are both survivors. Their similar backgrounds forms a wonderful bond between the two characters.

Readers will be drawn to Orik because he is handsome and protective of Jessie. Orik is new to having feelings for someone and is unsure how to handle his intense desire for Jessie, To further complicate their relationship Orik must overcome the torture he received at the hands of witches in his childhood to be with Jessie who has developed similar powers.

The romance will keep readers engaged with the steamy chemistry that the author does an exceptional job portraying between Orik and Jessie. This book is action packed and the author provides excellent pacing while continuing to develop the "world." I would highly recommend this book.

I was provided an ARC through NetGalley in exchange for an hones review of the book.

I jumped in here with book 2 so I missed a lot of the world building but it wasn't a deal breaker when it came to enjoying this book.

A little uneven, and very spicy its a fun dragon romance that was an okay read.

I'd probably read more from this series and potentially go back and read book 1.

The book was okay. It was a read that I will probably not remember which means that I will buy it and read it again and probably love it. In fact I did forget I had this book and reread it.

Orik Theroux is the head of the king's guard and a dragon shifter on the Planet Legura. He was adopted by the king after escaping brutal torture by a coven of witches that killed his father and mother. He's known as the Destroyer as he has hunted down and eradicted witches for centuries.

Jessie Jane Knight was raised by father after her mother died. He was a former Marine and war veteran and raised his girl to face all challenges, teaching her survival skills and how to defend herself. Growing up around her father's army buddies she grew up tough and able to handle herself. She's brash, curious and an adrenaline junkie that owns a small sporting goods store.

Trying to find shelter from a storm Jessie triggers an alien ship that locks her in and kidnaps her. When Orik's men intercept her ship, she doesn't trust anyone but finds herself trusting the disagreeable Orik, even though he treats her terribly.

Orik is suspicious of Jessie and tries to keep her locked in her rooms, he doesn't want to like her but his attraction pulls at him hard. He tries to make her stay comfortable without realizing he's hurting her by keeping her locked in her room. He spends a lot of time being angry and rude to her. Even giving in to his attraction turns sour as he makes excuses for his one and done and when he discovers she's a witch, all the anger and rage come back.

I liked Jessie, she never let Orik cow her and when Orik wasn't being a complete dick, he had some cool moments. There just wasn't enough to turn the story around for me. I especially disliked the fact a mind-blowing blow job was what made him suddenly realize he wasn't going to let her go.

As alien, shifter romances go it was a decent read, it just had elements I don't enjoy reading, your mileage may vary.

Even though this is the second book in the series, I didn’t feel like I was missing out on anything. They elude to some things that happened in the previous book, but the readers and Jessie get filled in on it all rather quickly. I liked that the author did this because I was able to jump right into the series even though I didn’t read the first book. I also liked that the author took the time to give us Orik’s backstory. It gave you a better understanding of his stance against witches and why he might not be so generous to find out that the woman he’s attracted to might be one.

With this story being in both Jessie’s and Orik’s point of view, we really got a good understanding of both characters. We were privy to what motivates them and who they are deep down. I liked that I never looked at Orik as just a bit brute, or at Jessie for being naive or careless in wanting to get out and explore what is essentially a foreign and hostile land. Plus, as things unfold, both with Jessie developing some sort of power and gaining the attention of a nearby coven, and Orik battling his feelings for a potential witch while dealing with attacks on the royal family by a hostile coven of witches. You are always waiting for the other shoe to drop.

I may be new to new to this author’s work, but I really enjoyed the world she created. Plus, I need to know what happens next. I mean, in the end do the witches and dragons call a truce? Are they in a constant state of war? Needless to say I will be tuning in to the next Dragon Lords book to see how the series unfolds.

Kiersten Fay always does an amazing job at world building, and this second in the series novel is no different! I've loved her books since the beginning and just when I assume she's shown us everything, a whole new glimpse comes onto the scene tantalizing us to the very end.

Orik, Head of the Guard find himself in a pickle when Jessie shows up on scene. She's a human from Earth, who during a solo climbing trip ran into a cave to escape a storm which as it turned out, was a space ship! Without much effort, she finds herself leaving Earth behind and being held captive both in body and in mind by Orik. All while learning more about the witches of Orik's personal and homeland history, and Jessie's potential ties to them.

Jessie was an amazing character, she can handle herself even in a foreign land. She's resourceful(escaping her 'prison" several times), she's stubborn and sassy and exactly what you want to see for an alpha male character. I will say Jessie forgave Orik a few times when I would have liked to see her stand her ground a little better. It pulled me out of the story for a second or two, but overall the chemistry between these two was off the charts.

Don't feel you need to read the previous book to dig into this one, as you won't be loss, but I do recommend it because it's a great book! Plus this one left me waiting on number three! I can't wait to see how Fay crafts her next story!

What a great read! When Jessie runs into a cave to escape a storm. Her cave turns into a spaceship. When she arrives on another planet she has to fight her way to be accepted for who she is. When a big brute by the name of Orick comes on the ship to get her off when his men couldn’t, he’s met with the same resistance his men were. Follow along to see if there truly is a thin line between love and hare

I received a complimentary copy of this book from NetGalley. The opinions expressed in this review are completely my own

I received a copy of this book for a fair and honest review. I was happy to get my hand on this book I wanted to see the next couple and how their story came together. The story centers around Orik who is part of the King's Guard and he has a hatred for witches that is kind of a the core of his existence. Then there is Jessie who found herself on an alien ship and she ends up a planet of dragon shifters. Orik has been watching her since her arrival and slowly falling for her beauty but strange things happen when she is around like flickering lights. There relationship has a bit of a rocky start. I love how this world kind of builds on itself. I am loving it more with each new book.

Seduced By The Dragon Lord (Dragon Lords #2) Kiersten Fay

Firstly, thank-you to Victory Editing, NetGallery and Kiersten Fay for the ARC in exchange for a fair and honest review.

Okay, I’ll admit when I first read the synopsis of this book I was like:
“Hmm it’s a bit out of my genre; aliens? Really? I mean dragons and lust – yeah!”
BOY WAS I WRONG!

I usually read enemies to lovers kind of tropes but this, this was something else. I’ve been on a bit of a reading break after losing my grandmother in July and being stuck on a book that was really quite a let-down.

I picked this book up yesterday afternoon and could not put it down!

I now feel the need to go and buy the series so I can read it from the start.

Our main characters are Orik and Jessie, having not read the first in the series I didn’t feel like I was missing anything.
The author effortlessly wove a world that was easily implanted in my mind and a beautiful world it was.
Jessie’s character made me laugh so much, she was relatable and funny.
Orik’s character was stern, strong, imposing and HOT!

The descriptions of the flora and fauna plus the pop culture references made this an imaginative and enjoyable read. There was lots of action, drama, magic, creatures, lust, love and some very zesty sexy moments.

This was such a brilliant read.

I will be honest, after reading Book 1, I wasn’t sure what to expect. I didn’t love Book 1 but I’m so glad I gave this a chance because it was an awesome read.

PLOT:

Jessie, an adrenaline junky, runs into a “cave” to escape a sudden storm while hiking. Turns out that the cave is an alien ship which immediately locks up and takes off from Earth.

Orik, the King’d Guard and step brother of Legura, intercepts and rescues Jessie. Legura is a kingdom of dragon shifters and a world of witches and magic.

Jessie and Orik are immediately attracted to each other and their sexual chemistry and the sexual build up was amazing.

As their feelings grown for each other, Jessie realises that she is changing and is afraid that she’s becoming something Orik would never love and so the tension seeps into the story.

Can they overcome their hurdles or would giving up be the way out for them? Read and find out!

What I loved:

- Orik. He was dark, mean at times and so very alpha. The man is sex on a stick and I devoured all of his scenes 🔥 The man is tortured, and in need of some loving and I absolutely loved him.

- Plot. There was a lovely, fast paced plot where we got more of an understanding why witches were so hated. I also loved that Fay no longer simply “told” the reader what happens but instead we discovered along with characters. For example, in the previous book, June was simply told about the dragons “off-stage” and came out of her spaceship completely okay with it. Whereas with Jessie, she freaked out and slowly came to terms sigh her new reality. She was much more believable as a heroine.

- Relationship development. Unlike Book 1, although there was sexual attraction, the two characters actually got to know each other before jumping in bed.

What I didn’t love;

- Jessie. I started off LOVING her. She’s strong, determined and adventurous. She was no weakling. Why didn’t you love her then, I hear you ask. Because of how she let Orik treat her! There were so many occasions where she needed to make Orik grovel. The man himself was expecting some attitude from her after he treated her like shot at one point, but Jessie just decided to ignore it all. It just didn’t fit her character. The Jessie we got to know early in the novel would have held him accountable and made him grovel.

- Homophone mistakes. There were a few worlds misspelled i.e piece instead of peace. This is an ARC after all and I’m not taking it into account with my rating.

- The End. We still had a few questions left unanswered, specifically based around the couple. I know there are morebooks but I wish everything was resolved.

On a side note, I love a certain prisoner who may not deserve to be imprisoned. Fay, when will we get his story, pretty please? And the elusive, white haired witch who saved June’s life! I want to know more!! The epilogue gives us Aiden’s story and I was so excited because I thought his heroine was the witch, but turns out it isn’t and I’m now so curious!!

Overall, I enjoyed this book immensely and really look forward to Book 3. The world building is fantastic and the sexual chemistry is off the charts. It was a great read!

Thank you Kiersten Fay and NetGalley for providing me with an eARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Kiersten Fay has become quickly one of my new favorite authors. The world she build for her book has a lot of unique aspects and are skillfully woven into the tale. The main characters are real persons, with their own flaws and strengths.

What especially stands out for me is the strength of the story. The heroine in this case got an extra power, which gives a fantastic twist to the story. The love scenes are hot, and come on... alien dragons.

Can't wait to see more of Kiersten.

A great read :) Though this was a follow up to Seduced By the Dragon Lord it wasn't linked and could be read as a standalone read..

Plenty of spice and storyline :)

Jessie is trapped in a spacecraft and when found she is placed under the care of a gorgeous dragon shifter named Orik.

But she has powers that must be hidden lest she be seen as the enemy. What will happen if her saviours find out?
