Thank you NetGalley for a copy of this novel!!

I really enjoyed this! Probably the first novel in a while where I had no idea how it was going to end. Every twist shocked me. I was rooting for June and Sullivan to end up together and the epilogue left me with some hope! I was glad Jonathan was innocent in the murders of Cal and Beth. The actual murderer, completely caught me off guard. But once the reasoning was revealed, it all fit together! Jonathan being Cal’s son was probably the biggest shock to me. Did not see that coming!

Excellent family drama centered around an unsolved double murder that has haunted the town for 15 years. Juniper and Johnathan are siblings that are as close as twins, they are equally close with the couple that live at the farm next door. When tensions rise in the community ultimately ending in murder, families and friends close knit relationships are torn to shreds. This fantastic book is impossible to put down, definitely the best book I have read in some time.

An excellent addition to the crowded thriller genre. A recommended first purchase for collections where domestic noir is popular.

I loved this book and could not put it down!!!

Juniper Baker is returning back to her small town of Jericho, Iowa to help an old friend who has cancer.
She also has an ulterior motive for her return- after hs graduation, Junipers life changed forever. She fell in love with her best friends crush then her brother becomes a suspect in their neighbors double murder. Juniper becomes pregnant but leaves the baby with her mother as she goes off to college.
She’s now back and wanting to form a relationship with her daughter and desperately figure out what happened all those years ago.
This book had me guessing until the end and racing to finish. I loved the characters but wish some aspects of their relationships were resolved as I want to know what happens to them.
This was definitely an action packed thriller that I enjoyed throughly.

Thanks to Edelweiss and NetGalley for my advanced ebook copy.

This one was more of a slow burn but it still held my attention until the end and I didn't get bored with it. There is one scene that's a dead giveaway of who the killer is, which I found a bit annoying. Solid writing and a solid story.

Kindly received an ARC from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

Everything We Didn’t Say by Nicole Baart is a thriller that once I started couldn’t put down . Juniper left her hometown 14 years ago after she graduated from high school and the couple next door was murdered and her brother, Jonathan was the main suspect. She also left her infant daughter with her mother and stepfather. She has returned to help a friend out and to find out what really happened all those years ago and try to connect with her daughter. I really enjoyed this book and the twists and secrets that was revealed. Thanks to Netgalley for this arc.

My thanks to the author, publisher and NetGalley for an ARC of this novel in exchange for an honest review.
Juniper Baker's life did not turn out as planned. Just graduated from high school, Juniper is in love with young Sullivan and she is getting ready to head off to college. She couldn't have been happier - until catastrophe strikes.

Then a double murder occurs at the farm next door and Juniper's brother becomes a suspect. To top things off, Juniper becomes pregnant. It is decided that Juniper will leave her baby daughter with her mother and her stepfather while she continues with her college education. She is discouraged by her mother, and the events surrounding the deaths of Cal and Beth Murphy, from ever returning to the small town of Jericho.

Turns out the town was aptly named. Juniper barely makes it back to town before the local policy flag her down. Not an auspicious start!

Juniper has volunteered to help her old friend, the town librarian, who has cancer, but she has a second motive for her return. During her exiled life in Denver, Juniper has been researching the Murphy's murders and is determined to lift the shadow of suspicion from her brother. The title of this novel is a clue in itself: if only certain things had been said by certain people, so much grief could have been avoided.
And no, I did not guess who did it, but after a while I suspected EVERYONE!

The ending was action-packed and satisfying. Certain relationships and their potential outcome were left unresolved: the author left ithis up to the reader to decide, as is often the case with thrillers.

I was sad to read in the author's Acknowledgement that her family had suffered a recent loss and that she and her children were having to cope with grieving along with the COVID pandemic while she wrote this book. These are certainly trying times and my heart goes out to the author and her family. I'm rating this one a 3.8 out of 5.

Such an addictive read! Nicole Baart is a always a sure thing for me, but wow, I am constantly amazed by her phenomenal writing! Everything We Didn’t Say is a combination of women’s fiction and domestic thriller and melds them perfectly! The character development was on point! Right from the beginning, I felt emotionally connected which is the reason I literally could not put this book down. The chapters alternate between present day and 14 1/2 years ago, which methodically and intricately unveils layer upon layer of the storyline at the perfect moment. Everything We Didn’t Say is a 5+++ star novel that I highly recommend to everyone! This “must read” would make a fantastic book club selection! If you haven’t read Nicole Baart before, there’s no time like the present—1-click her now!!

June hasn’t been back home since she graduated from high school. SInce the couple living nearby were murdered and her brother was accused of committing the crime. But, now, years later, she’s back. She’s helping a sick friend run the local library, but she’s also come to acknowledge her now teenage daughter, raised by June’s parents since she was born. And perhaps most importantly of all, she intends to solve those long ago murders, once and for all. Complex and multilayered this is an excellent thriller
