Hmmm... I have some kind of bumpy start with this story! I liked the impactful opening: summarizing the family drama about missing sister which was emotional and promising start for me . But after the powerful beginning, I pushed myself a little to understand what’s going on: who is the secret resource, who is the detective, what the hell is going on at this story! Why the characters mostly acted like suffering from constipation, why they insisted not to see the things standing in front of them! They kept reaching the wrong conclusions about everything!

Moly!!! The twists and shockers just kept coming throughout this book! I loved every one! I loved the alternating chapters and going back and forth from the past and the present. What a twisty wild ride!

Love to read Hank Phillippi Ryan’s books and this one is my new favorite one! I love how well all the characters are written and they seem to just jump off the pages. This is a page turner at its best. Grab yourself a copy and find a comfy place to read. Thanks for writing such a great book!

This book was more chilling than I expected. I knew there would be a darkness based on the description, but I had no idea where the story was going. Everything lined up perfectly and was hard to guess. The characters were distant enough that you couldn't really trust anyone, but close enough that you still cared. Great read!

This was a great, keep you on the edge of your seat thriller! I've never been disappointed with a Hank Phillippi Ryan book. They are always superb!

Lily Atwood is an Emmy Award winning journalist. She is a single mother. Her older sister disappeared when Lily was seven. All aspects of Lily's life are controlled and polished in order to maintain the illusion that Lily is Perfect. Living in the public eye is precarious especially when there are secrets in Lily's past that threaten to destroy everything she has built.
Who is telling the truth? What does everyone want? What really happened?
The book is written with alternating narrators and in dual timelines. I never saw the end coming. This was a great read.

Her Perfect Life is not perfect. I have enjoyed Hank Phillippi Ryan's books before, and this is no different. I like the dual POV, the twists and turns and getting to know the characters. This would be a good book club choice.
Thanks to Forge Books and NetGalley for this ARC for my honest opinion.

Hank Phillippi Ryan’s "Her Perfect Life" introduces us to Lily, an Instagram-worthy, single momma, Emmy-winning news reporter in the city of Boston. Lily has a secret weapon when obtaining her juiciest stories, but when that secret weapon threatens to shatter #PerfectLily, what will she try to do to keep the perfect strings of her life from unraveling?
I am personally a fan of the multiple narration point of views, which is how this novel is formatted. It adds suspense to the story while also giving an in depth look into multiple characters. Ryan’s writing was dynamic, with twists and turns that leave you breathless. "Her Perfect Life" left me in awe at the ending, and I think any fan of suspenseful thrillers will feel the same.
Special thank you to NetGalley and Hank Phillippi Ryan for an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Didn't capture my attention and engagement. Interested in trying it again though and hopefully it will take.

I was so excited to get an early copy of this, because I've loved other Hank Philippi Ryan books, but this didn't live up to my expectations, unfortunately. I really enjoyed the first half. It's fast, and the alternating POVs and flashbacks are great at building suspense. But about halfway through, you find out what happened to Cassie, and it just didn't make sense. I stuck it out because I was really hoping I was just missing something, it'd come together later. And there are some twists later that definitely surprised me, and helped a bit with the logic, but I still felt like there were too many plot holes that were just not addressed. My other issue is that all the POVs didn't seem necessary. It added an extra mystery to incorporate, but that mystery didn't add anything to the primary storyline. When it all came together, I felt like that POV and story was just a distraction from the main story.

I loved this book! Lily was a beautiful emmy wining news reporter with secrets. Greer her producer gets pulled into the game of the mysterious person threatening to expose her secrets. He story is also narrated by Cassie a woman from the past. The past comes to the present with a vengeance let’s just say. Otherwise will give away the plot. Loved it though

I had really high expectations with this book. I liked it but I didnt love it. Found it hard to connect with the characters so that influenced my rating. I just felt like something was missing. I got frustrated with what the characters were doing.

This incredible thriller kept me on the edge of my seat until the last page. The characters draw you in and the plot is fast paced. I really enjoyed it and looking forward to recommending to friends.

Lily is a high profile TV reporter that everyone envies. People think she has a perfect life, but she’s got one big secret she’s hiding. Lily’s life slowly begins to crumbled when one of her sources starts giving her information about her own life.
This book is carefully crafter with multiple timelines and POVs that keep readers hooked until one giant twist is revealed. The characters of this book are well written and I loved the relationship between Lily and her sister and daughter. They are extremely sympathetic characters and the relationships add another complex layer to this book.
This is a fast paced thriller that will keep you on the edge of your seat the entire time.

Her Perfect Life is a fast paced thriller with a twist that I didn't expect but made perfect sense! Great beach read.

I loved the short chapters but somehow sometimes they dragged. Character was often too gullible to believe sometimes. Alot of things didn't make sense or add up and never were clarified which made it all so confusing and pointless

This book was the only thing that was able to capture my attention during a difficult time. I loved about 75% of it. Unfortunately, the ending fell a bit flat for me and the story overall seemed a bit far-fetched.

Fake sugary sweet tv announcers get their just deserves? Can we say many of us are on board for that? Yes, but when children are involved things get messy. And then messier.

absolutely loved this book and kept me excited to keep
Reading. Will read more from this author
Thank you

Going into this, I think I had a different idea of how this would play out than it actually did, which is part of why my expectations were higher than they should have been. I have a habit of doing this to myself. Despite this, I did enjoy this for the most part. I was definitely surprised by all of the twists and turns and found this to be a fast moving thriller. I would have liked a bit more depth in all of the characters. I had a hard time connecting to each of them because the POV bounced between the timelines but never gave a full picture of the sisters together and pieced it in throughout the book. I typically love a dual POV narrative and wasn't confused by this one at all but somehow thought it didn't flow quite the way it should. I think the story was fascinating and definitely enjoyable, but it was just missing something to give it that WOW factor in my opinion. Overall, I think the writing was very well done and the plot keeps you absorbed in what is happening to the characters. However, the investigative portion of this wasn't really up my alley and took away a star for me. I look forward to reading more from this author. Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for this advanced copy in exchange for an honest review.
