Richard Rohr is a bit of a divisive figure. Those on the progressive left love him while those on the more tradition orthodox side view him with suspicion. I doubt this book will do much to bridge that gap unfortunately. Rohr makes statements which seem to be his own assertions without much backup or evidence. His interpretation of Scripture will have the left nodding their heads in agreement and others shaking their heads with alarm bells going off. I'm not sure if this would actually be better as an essay in a book of essays rather than an actual book but that's a personal opinion. It's an interesting read to see where the progressive left is going but as a guide to Scripture teaching and personal spiritual development it's less impressive.
