Really good book. Have never read anything by this author but he is really talented. It was that book you read into the night. Brilliant.

I love Jeff Abbott’s novels. Always well written and plotted. I didn’t realise until too late that this was just an excerpt, but in the few pages I read a lot happened and the reader is pulled into the story immediately.
Kirsten receives a mysterious Phone call saying her husband has been shot, in Austin. At first Kirsten doesn’t believe the caller but as she googles news events she sees that 2 men have been killed in Austin and the hotel in New York where Henry, the husband was meant to be, has no record of a stay. She hurriedly books a flight to Texas and crosses paths with the hitman hired to kill her. Cut to Flora Zhang the wife of the second victim, she knew her husband was being secretive but had no idea what business ventures he was working on.

There the excerpt ended, but I will be reading the entire book when it’s available for sure.

From the excerpt alone I am really eager to read more!

'An Ambush of Widows' is about two woman that lead very different lives, but share one thing in common-- both of their husbands were found dead and had been murdered. Both widows are now desperately trying to seek answers and maybe uncover some secrets along the way.

I love the premise of this book, and was immediately hooked from the excerpt alone-- quite disappointed that it ended so quickly. I will be definitely be anticipating this release of this book.

Thank you NetGalley and Grand Central Publishing for giving me this excerpt for 'An Ambush of Widows' by Jeff Abbott

Thanks to NetGalley for giving me an excerpt for this upcoming book. I have read other books by this author and I enjoy how he writes storys that surprise the reader in the turn they take, I don't know much about this but after those chapters we get to see that there will be two main perspectives and I am very intirgued by Henry . I'm sure I'll buy the book once it is published on july

This looks like it will be a great book, I didn't realise it was an excerpt when I requested it and was disappointed to discover so as I was just thinking how good I thought it was going to be. Nothing like a teaser, I will definitely be looking out for a full copy of the book

I rec'd an excerpt from Negalley and read a very very short snippet.

I liked the POV of....both wives (I wonder if there will be more than just the 2) and I was surprised that we had the hitman's POV. Not enough to know if I'll like it but I'm definitely intrigued.

I must have clicked on this by accident as I never read exerts. 12 pages of a book just makes me want more. Right now

I love to be able to read an excerpt to see if I like a new author’s voice. Here, I liked the fast-paced writing style right away. Interesting protagonist and antagonist, who were introduced and thrown together right away. I was really hooked into the book and its premise and am going to request the whole thing right now!
