Thank you to NetGalley and Entangled Publishing for the opportunity to read ROYAL TROUBLE. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Unfortunately, I am not the target audience for this book. The first couple of chapters the characters were objectifying women to the point that it became unbearable to read. I DNFed this book and I don't know if I'll read more by this author.

This book was everything I wanted out of my romance. It was witty, it was steamy, and it made me love both characters. Xander is such a misunderstood love of a man and the whole book I just wanted to hug him and tell him he’s worthy. Everly was such a great heroine who did some serious introspection that made it believable and made you root for her. I can’t wait for the next book in this series!

A funny and sexy story. Alexander is the hot bad boy prince that the press loves to write about. Everly is the outsider who is one disaster away from broke. The author uses an extremely sharp wit in her characters to heighten their sense of humor. The tabloid stories add to the drama that unfolds within the story. There is steamy scenes as the Valerien royal gets it on with his lady love. A real page turner that will totally satisfy.

Super fun summer romance read! Light, fluffy, steamy - perfect for poolside or beach reading.

Royal Trouble is the second in the series but can easily be read as a standalone. Prince Alexander is a royal bad boy working to reform his image. He reconnects with Everly Wilson, an old schoolmate, at a wedding and they have an instant connection and great chemistry. Too bad Everly is also trying to clean up her reputation after putting herself through college but writing tabloid stories about the royal family.

Like the first in the series, this was a super easy and quick read that was a lot of fun. One of my complaints with the first book was that some of the sex scenes were gratuitous and that definitely was not the case in this book - the intimate moments moved the story forward nicely. I thought there was also a nice balance of back story to round out Everly and Xander to really endear them to the reader. Overall, I've enjoyed Jennifer Bonds' books and look forward to the next one in this series which appears to be centered on Xander and Liam's youngest sister, Pippa.

Thanks to Entangled Publishing and NetGalley for the early copy. All opinions are my own.

Ok I loved this from the start, this was definitely my style of book. A sexy second son (the spare) Prince trying to turn over a new leaf. A illegitimate Duke's daughter who is trying to make a name for herself. 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Being on the outside on the inside, Everly (love that name) went to a prestigious school with all the upper class and had a spill the tea site called Royals Gone Wild. Lol. It is everything it sounds like.. gossiping elite teenagers not all the facts but is it ever in tabloids.
When Everly and Xander (HRH Prince Alexander) meet again at a wedding where she needs to get a scoop he is interested and she is not. Which as you guessed makes him more interested.
Ok I absolutely LOVE Xander! This character is so hot and is a hot talker! Where's the fanning myself emoji? 😇🥵♨️👋
Both characters are trying to change their reputations and make impacts and they hit some roadblocks. They don't always have the smoothest sexy exchanges cause there's always staff and interruptions around but they make it work!

I need to check out the first book!!

Totally recommend! I need this for my shelf!

Royal Trouble, the second in Jennifer Bonds Royally Engaged series was an engaging read. But honestly I didn't find it as charming or fun as the first. However, the characters were likable particularly the “spare” Prince Alexander and the romance was the perfect mix of steamy and sweet and with little drama or angst it was enjoyable to read.

This is basically a reimagining of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's story. That being said, it's a fun read and a good time. There's good tension and conflict that wasn't completely predictable.

Thank you to the author, publisher, and Netgalley for the ARC. I voluntarily read and reviewed this title.

I really enjoyed this romcom. I read it as a stand-alone and didn’t at all feel like I was missing anything by not reading the first book. However, I loved it and the characters enough that I will definitely be picking up the first now as well!

I love a Royal romance story, and this one was absolutely excellent. I enjoyed that both Everly and Xander brought their own well-formed backstory to the table, and also learning about how their pasts intertwined to lead them to their reconnection in present time. I liked them both as individuals and absolutely loved them together. I also thought that they way Bonds brought in Xander's PTSD was really well done and realistic, without being overwhelming and changing the tone of the story.

I also enjoy a good dose of steam in my reading, and this one BROUGHT IT. A royal bad boy and a guarded, grounded heroine? White hot.

My only regret is that I didn't realize this was the second in a series of standalones, so I couldn't read Liam and Elena's story first. I can't wait to read Phillipa's story next!

I was given access to an ARC from the publisher in exchange for an honest review.

A perfectly serviceable romance. There wasn't anything about this book that wowed me, but it also wasn't terrible. I enjoyed the story and the characters, even if they were particularly one-note. Bonds' attempts to flesh them out felt rushed and unfinished, but didn't detract from the overall plot.

Definitely middle of the road for me.

A fun, steamy romance about the "spare" to the throne in the fictitious country of Valeria. The story of Prince Alexander "Xander" and writer Everly Wilson is interspersed with snippets from a royal watchers blog. Pretty predictable plot, but still enjoyable. Was it great literature? Nope. Was it still fun to read!? Sure was!

Thank you to NetGalley and Entangled Publishing for the digital ARC in return for an honest review.

I really enjoyed this book and I didn't know it was part of a series until I read reviews once I had finished it. I will definitely be looking for the other books in it to read.

I loved the banter between Xander and Everly. And it was such a fun read.

One thing that ruined parts for me was the over use of abbreviations, maybe it's my age but I really struggled to understand certain parts.

I am disappointed at the outcome at the end of the book with Xander, but it's left open I guess for future books.

What’s better than a rainy Sunday spent in bed? A rainy Sunday spent in bed with a great book. I seriously could not put this one down!! I read Jennifer Bonds book A Royal Disaster in November and loved it so I had high expectations for Royal Trouble. I. WAS. NOT. DISAPPOINTED! Seriously if you haven’t read this series yet, what are you waiting for?!
.
I really liked Liam and Elena in book one, but I am obsessed with Xander and Everly. The chemistry between these two was so believable and the witty banter was *chef’s kiss*. The build up had me flying through this book in one sitting, unable to tear myself away for a minute. I would’ve loved more groveling from Everly and more of her mother/father in this story, but all in all,I loved it! READ. THIS. SERIES!!!
.
Everly Wilson has no desire to return to Valeria. As the lovechild of a Duke and his nanny, she was subjected to cruel bullying and rumors growing up. Living in New York with her mother has kept her far away from the royal world, but when her mother gets cancer and the bills start piling up, Evelyn gets desperate. When an editor offers her a job, as long as she can get the latest scoop before the royal wedding, she doesn’t want to do it. Years ago Evelyn had run a website dedicated to taking down the very peers who treated her horribly, but she’s moved on, right?
Prince Alexander is the spare. Always has been, always will be, not that anyone would let him forget. Between being compared to his perfect older brother and constantly disappointing his parents with his debauchery, Xander is ready to grow up. When he runs into Evelyn Wilson again their connection is instant. Xander wants Evelyn and he’s determined to show her that he’s changed, but has she?

Royal Trouble by Jennifer Bonds a fab four-star read. This is number two in the Royally Engaged series and I have read them and enjoyed them as a series, as you get the most out of them that way. This was fun, and it seemed like such a quick read, it does have some challenges faced and dramas but overall, it was fun and dealt with everything well. You could happily sit and read this in an afternoon and find it pleasurable. Xander was sublime and Everly did take a little while to warm too, but once I did I wouldn’t have let her go.

Can Xander clean up his act after meeting Everly?

Everly Wilson only returned to Valeria for her best friend’s wedding but meeting the royal black sheep changed all her plans. Prince Alexander (Xander)) hated being the target of gossip but when he was offered the head of the foundation helping military families on the condition that he clean up his act because it was the one thing he really wanted. But meeting Everly Wilson would put a major wrench in his plans to stay out of the tabloids because there was some major attraction between them.

Only problem was that Everly needs to pay for her mother’s cancer treatment by writing gossip about the royal wedding of Xander’s brother (A Royal Disaster) and she couldn’t tell Xander about it.

Royal Trouble is a fun book to read if you know anything about royal gossip. I’m hoping next up will be about their sister and the trouble she’s getting into during her really long gap year.

This was cute - I love a good royal romance. A few plot lines went unfinished for me though, which was unsatisfying. I am looking forward to the next book. Thanks to netgalley for the ARC.

Wow, I devoured this just for a few hours and I had such a good time reading this! I realized that this was the second book in a series a bit too late but I didn’t have any issue getting into this as it can be read as a standalone! Though after finding out the first book was about Liam and Lena, I’ll definitely be reading that too when I can and I’ll also be reading the next potential books in this series! *cough* I need Princess Philippa’s book *cough*

𝙍𝙤𝙮𝙖𝙡 𝙏𝙧𝙤𝙪𝙗𝙡𝙚 follows Everly who is a illegitimate child of a duke and a struggling writer who is in need of money in paying her mother’s medical bills and is willing to do anything to help her. Including using her connections in the noble society to write the next big scoop. Then we have Xander, second prince of Valeria who is finally making an effort in changing his image from the wild party boy to someone who worthy of the Royal title. They come across during one fated night and their romance blooms from there!

One of my fave parts in this book was the tabloid articles inserted every now and then! It added that intrigue and excitement you get from reading cheesy write ups about royal scandals and drama!

I really loved Everly and Prince Alexander! They’re both such entertaining characters and I enjoyed their banter and chemistry. They both have such heart-tugging stories as I was invested in both of their POVs! Everly was snarky in the most fun way and Xander was such a cheeky sweetheart with a heart of gold. It was clear just how perfect they were for each other all throughout! It made for such a good slow burn, enemies to lovers romance!

This is one of those books that had the “watching a train wreck in slow motion” moments as I was already theorizing so much to the point that I could already see how the conflict would go down so I was nervous! The stakes were so high, the sexual tension was palpable but at the same time, their chemistry was so good!! Despite all the angst and problems they had to face, I could clearly see the HEA they deserve and would eventually have towards the end!

The steamy scenes were such a great addition to the story bc it just felt so necessary! Bonds wrote such delicious scenes and I enjoyed every one of them! The wine cellar scene had to be my fave!! And ofc the scene where they finally did *it*

Overall, it gave me so much joy just getting lost in this book and it satisfied my cravings for a modern Royal love story! I highly recommend it if you’re looking for a swoony, fast-paced and light hearted story! This was my first Jennifer Bonds book and I’ll definitely be reading more from her!

I read this not realizing that it is the second book in a series until after I had already started. I enjoyed it enough. I never really loved any of the characters so it took me a while to get into it, but it picks up about the half way mark. It makes for a good fun cleanser read if you’re like me and need breaks between more intense genres.

Xander and Evie had my heart from the moment they met. This book was as funny and smart as it was swoony and steamy.

Xander is this reformed bad boy trying to fix his reputation when he meets Evie. She is not a distraction he needs but his determination to prove himself to his family, to himself, and to her was so valiant. Evie grew up just on the edge of the royal court as an outcast and even as an adult she despises that world. On the surface, they should not work at all but underneath all their pain and secrets they are so perfect.

This book had me laughing out loud a few times and I loved the pacing and the beautiful settings. These two had quite the romance and I look forward to seeing what Jennifer Bonds has for us in the next installment of the series.

I tried so hard to like this (read: I kept reading even when I really wanted to DNF), but I just found both main characters pretty unlikeable. They got more tolerable as it went on (after the 50% mark), but I never got to the point where I was really relating to them or rooting for them.
