This book was a treat to read in preparation for the holiday season. The characters both main and secondary were wonderfully described and each brought such a pertinent role to the overall story. I am looking forward to reading the next book for when they are back at their school. Thank you to Netgalley and PRH/Viking Books for the opportunity to read an advance copy.

Thank you to NetGalley and Penguin Group for this DRC.
A YA Christmas romance in a small town in Oklahoma. Finley returns from boarding school to find what she left behind turned upside down. And the boy she lied to at boarding school has strangely come to visit, to see what Christmas in Christmas, OK is like.
A fun and sweet read. Always fun to read about the lengths someone will go to make a Christmas miracle.

I appreciate the opportunity to read and review this book at the time prior to release. Unfortunately my taste in books have changed a good bit in the last couple of years, and I am not reading as many YA books. Also as a mood reader, it can be quite difficult at times to read book around the time of release. If I read and review the book around the holiday season this year, I will add my review here. Thanks again for the opportunity.

This book was just sadly not for me! I was hoping for something different but it turned out to be something I was not expecting, which is okay and I'm sure someone else would love it!

Cute small town Christmas romance. Super mushy with your usual Christmas hating scrooge type MC. Really loved the story though.

SO THIS IS CHRISTMAS by Tracy Andreen is an adorable and sweet holiday story that will be enjoyed by teen readers who love YA romances. The setting is fun (Christmas, Oklahoma) and the romance between Finley and Arthur is sweet. Overall, an incredibly cozy holiday read that was popular in my all-girls high school library this past holiday season.
SUGGESTED AGES: Grades 8 and up

I'm on a holiday reading kick and this one was just flat out adorable. Small town does Christmas for outsiders... my favorite Hallmark-y trope! Finley and Arthur are two great characters, but this book also has a lot of amazing side characters and tastefully deals with many things such as failure, identity and difficult family relationships. I'm impressed this is a debut and look forward to reading more by Andreen in the future.

I loved So, This is Christmas almost as much as I loved chatting with Tracy on the podcast. So, This is Christmas is the perfect Christmas read filled with small-town Christmas magic. : ) I can't wait to read the next book!

A cute Christmas book! Perfect for lovers of holiday stories and romance. Definitely a young adult story, but look for it during the holidays for some Christmas cheer!

So, This is Christmas by Tracy Andreen radiates Christmas charm and romance. If you love Hallmark movies or sweet romances full of all the Christmas and romance tropes you can imagine, this is a perfect read. It was predictable, but in a way that was part of the charming. The cast was fairly diverse for a romance which was nice. There were lots of laughs along the way. A very quick, easy, fun, Christmasy, sweet read. I cannot wait for more books by Tracy Andreen.

I received an eARC from Penguin Teen through NetGalley. All opinions are 100% my own.

This was a cute YA holiday romance.

I did enjoy the elaborate Christmas descriptions and it felt like I was really in Christmas, Oklahoma. It was so cute, and I also deeply appreciated the LGBTQ+ representation in this one. It was unexpected and really refreshing.

Ultimately, though, it was a slow read. I found myself skimming over too much description and trying to get to the dialogue. I wanted more of Finley and Arthur. It just seemed like this book could have been… a bit shorter. Seemed like there was quite a bit of useless filler and I skimmed through those parts and still didn’t miss anything big.

So... this is cute!
It was like watching a Hallmark movie, which does make sense since the author Tracy Andreen writes for Hallmark.

Reading So, This Is Christmas was like taking a ride in a Time Machine that brought me back to 2013, the year I discovered ya contemporaries written in English (in case you didn't know, English is not my first language) and fell in love with them, took the turn and never got back...

I can't even point why it is, but this book made me nostalgic...

I loved, loved, loved the idea of a town called Christmas, and the comedy about it not living up to it's name made me enjoy reading about it so much.
But seriously, wouldn't it be amazing to live in a town with a name and structure like that?
I would love to be a resident there...

The cast of characters was... likeable. I mean it, I liked everyone who appeared (although I couldn't understand some's way of thinking), and Finley was lovely narrator.

This book was written in first person.

Arthur was so polite and also mysterious but visible at the same time, it was pleasure to read about him.

Since this is ya book there is some teen angst and some drama, which I do get, because it is not easy to come home and see your bff making out with your ex bf. Who would accept it nonchalantly anyway?
However, I couldn't understand Finley's mother for the life of me. Like, you didn't see your daughter for months and now when she's home you're not there??

Other than that, everything was sweet, funny, cute... delightful. Especially those cute moments between Finley and Arthur, and the end scene... it was just so... cute!

I was not able to read this book in time, and so unfortunately cannot review it, but I have heard really great things and still hope to read it eventually!

I read this one during the holidays and I absolutely loved it! It was so wholesome and cute. I really liked the characters and the plot. There were definitely times I was laughing out loud with the funny scenes and the dynamic between the characters.

I don’t know what it is but I don’t like Christmas books. They all feel like really mediocre hallmark movies. This was cute but also very predictable.

First off, I want to thank Penguin Teen for sending me this book through NetGalley for review.

Unfortunately this book just didn't do it for me. I thought the premise was going to be really cute it just didn't land. I found the characters to be quite annoying and honestly rather whiny. I also had no idea how the romance was going to work at all because they didn't seem to have any connection at all. I understand that I am older than the target audience but I usually have no problem with ya books as I am not that much older but this felt almost middle grade to me. I just couldn't get into the story and it felt like the story dragged.

This was such a cute Christmas time read! I really enjoyed it. The Author did a great job of capturing my attention and getting me invested in the characters.

𝐏𝐥𝐨𝐭:

This was supposed to be a fun and a Christmas feel like story, however, I didn’t get that kind of vibe while reading this story.

I felt that the writing wasn’t for me and at the same time it was dragged on the story that really did felt boring for me. Another thing that set the nail for me was the narration that really felt dull.

I was thrilled with that twist actually but the rest wasn’t much fun of.

𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐬:

I ended up not liking Finley at all. I just think she’s really whiny and annoying at most times that really needed to be put in the place where she belongs to be honest.

I really didn’t felt her developed as the story goes because once again, she is really infuriating.

I am definitely much more more interested on Grandma, Arthur and Ayesha (wait I forgot the spelling sjsjsjsksk) much more than the Finley.

𝐎𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐥𝐥:

This is quite a missed for me.
