I loved the cool as a cucumber, NYC marketing person that Lucy portrayed. She fit her persona well. Enter a former one-night stand to an office department meeting, and said one-night stand is actually her bosses on and off boyfriend and Lucy experiences the second most embarrassing moment of her life.

Lucy flees to a small town in Oregon to transform a family wilderness adventure business. Her first encounter is with the head of the company and the male head of the family, but neither realizes this until right before they embark on a one-night stand.

Gabe Wilder helps Lucy saves ducklings in a storm drain and is instantly attracted to Lucy. Unbeknownst to him until they have drinks later is that she is the woman his mother hired to revamp their business.

There is a lot of chemistry, hot brothers, brooding males, and a few laugh out loud scenes. There’s drama, a near-death moment, and of course there are two stubborn lead characters too afraid to speak their feelings to each other.

But in the end, Lucy and Gabe find the path to their happy ending.

5* I really, really love this book! Just the right amount of humor, angst and sex with a perfect HEA. Following along with Gabe and Lucy’s story is almost comforting. Watching them get past their emotional challenges is really heartwarming.
The Wilder brothers, although all outdoorsmen, have such varied personalities I’m so looking forward to all of their stories! Oh, and don’t forget sister Amanda! Even though she’s married I hope we get to hear her story too.
I can’t recommend this one enough.

After a truly embarrassing incident during a meeting in her NY office, Lucy goes and visits her mother in small town Oregon. A marketer by trade, Lucy's mother sets her up with a job at Wilder Adventures. Their business isn't doing so hot due to recent hot springs being found locally. Instead of people coming for outdoor adventures, more are coming for destination weddings and girls trips. She meets instant opposition from Gabe, the son of the owner and his four brothers who run various different outdoor adventures. Of course his opposition to her work doesnt translate to opposition of her.

I wanted to love this book. The storyline hooked me from just reading the synopsis. A book where a city girl tries to save an adventure company seems interesting and could easily translate to a funny ROM com type of book. But instead of focusing on the amazing story that could be, more focus is placed on her thinking for five pages f having sex with him then him thinking for another five pages of having sex with her. I got to the point of just flipping thru each of their imaginings of what sexual thing they'd like to be doing. I have no problem with sexual books, I just feel the sex was so focused on the potential storyline was lost. This isn't a bad book don't get me wrong, it just didn't work for ME as I was hoping to actually read a ROM com and got more erotica with the story loosley thrown around it. If that's hour thing then this book will be five stars for you.

This is a fun, straightforward romance novel about a family who run a wilderness adventure company in Oregon and the consultant the matriarch brings in to rebrand their company for a female market. It never strays anywhere unexpected (which isn’t a bad thing), and is very steamy.
Pros:
The family! I am a total sucker for a book that clearly sets up a series exploring a HEA for all the sibilings in a series (a la Bergman brothers and Winston brothers). This first book didn’t have the heart or depth of those series, but I have hope for more.
Our MCs have incredible sexual tension and chemistry, from their meet cute saving ducklings in a rain storm, all the way through the end.
Gabe, our hero, resents his attraction to Lucy as soon as he realizes she was brought in by his mother to change the family business behind his back, which of course happens after they almost hookup. Constantly fighting attraction is close enough to enemies to lovers to scratch that itch in my brain.

Cons:
A very feminine heroine and very masculine hero, never really challenging stereotypes that make stories like this kind of basic. It’s a bit lazy, and I would have loved a more realistic look at the complexity that people have.
City girl in the wilderness/small town isn’t my favorite, though at least this city girl is never shown as weak or morally bankrupt as I have seen in other romances (mostly movies).
The small town the book is set in is gentrifying, though that is never called out specifically, and is becoming a tourist town that caters to weddings, bachelorette parties, etc. The brothers don’t want to change the way they do things, but it felt like a missed opportunity to talk about how money and shifting markets pushes communities, displaces businesses and residents, and generally takes agency away from people. Instead the story just focuses on how the business doesn’t want to change because they don’t like girly things.

Overall, I enjoyed the book, and it made me miss traveling. It was relatively simple, both in terms of plot and character, but sometimes that’s what you want. It was so steamy, and it was nice to see Gabe and Lucy grow closer despite themselves, and then give in to their attraction knowing that they have a time limit. Just don’t expect anything groundbreaking.

This was a new author for me, but I will definitely be reading her other books. I just loved this. It was funny, the story flowed well, the dialogue was believable. Highly recommended!

I wanted to like this romance more than I did. The set-up was interesting as a city girl who dislikes small towns comes to a small Oregon town to help set up a marketing plan for a family-run business that offers excursions in the wild. Of course, she falls for one of the brothers and then they have to figure out if she’s willing to leave New York behind to settle in this sweet town. But it got to be very repetitive in the alternate chapters between the two main characters. Either he or she would be looking at the other protagonist and imagining having sex while they tried to discuss her marketing plans or the excursions into the wild. I was more interested to see what marketing plan she would come up with and how it would work out when the guys running the business were so resistant at first. But that was all glided over with just a few paragraphs. Then we were back to their thoughts about sex. Once or twice would have been fine, but it got pretty repetitive.

I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book that I received from Netgalley; however, the opinions are my own and I did not receive any compensation for my review.

Make Me Wilder is the first book in the Wilder Adventure series. After an embarrassing event, Lucy is desperate to get away from her corporate job in New York. She heads to the small Oregon town of Rush Creek to help revamp Wilder Adventures, a struggling outdoor adventure business owned by the five Wilder brothers. Sparks begin to fly between Lucy and Gabe Wilder.....even with his strong reluctance to any change to his business.

Make Me Wilder is a cute and fun love story that is a perfect summer read. I got a lot of Hallmark vibes with the plot of Lucy seeking solace in a small town, trying to help a struggling business adapt to the city's changing tourist climate, and simultaneously falling for rugged small-town Gabe. I mean, opposites attract, right? The outdoor excursions added to the appeal of the book, and it gives a good glimpse into the lives of Gabe's brothers to hook the reader for subsequent books in the series. A great lighthearted read just in time for the summer, pack this one for your next vacation.

Thanks to Netgalley and Author Collective 20 for this ARC; this is my honest and voluntary review.

This book sizzles right from the start!

Grab your fan and a cool drink -- this story is going to get your heart racing! The author brilliantly teases the intense chemistry on nearly every page, yet it's done as a natural progression of the heartfelt feelings Gabe and Lucy develop for each other. From their first meeting (rescuing ducklings) to the final life-threatening adventure, the action is non-stop and forces Gabe and Lucy to reexamine all the reasons they each had for remaining single forever.

This first book of a new series introduces us to the five very handsome, very single Wilder brothers who each take on a different adventurous aspect of the family business. Lucy's first meeting with them had me sighing, "Same, girl, same."

"The Wilder brothers. It’s a sea of slightly-too -long hair in shades of brown, broad shoulders under flannel shirts, khaki hiking pants bulging at the thighs, and gorgeous sun-golden forearms arrayed on the table for my visual feast. I think I’ve been reading too many why -choose romance novels, because my heart is totally pounding."

But more than just hunky heroes, all five of these men are complex characters with well-defined personalities and vast potential for their own upcoming stories. I'm already addicted and I can't wait to read these as they come out.

I adore the writing style of this author. The prose shoots straight as an arrow into the hearts of the characters, while the dialogue ratchets up the tension and the fun at every opportunity. I lost track of how many times I genuinely laughed out loud, especially when Gabe realizes that he's not the only man with a pulse around Lucy. Each scene is vividly brought to life and I couldn't put the book down until I got to the unexpected path to the very satisfying HEA.

If you love the gruff, growly outdoorsman type, this is your catnip. Book your trip to Wilder Adventures ASAP and hang on for the ride of your life! I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.

Make Me Wilder is a light and fun summer read, with a perfect amount of laughter and steam. Neither Lucy or Gabe are interested in a relationship. City girl Lucy is in small Rush Creek to visit her mom and do some marketing consulting for a local business, so she can make her some money to start her own marketing firm. Enter Gabe Wilder, he is a stoic man who has been taking care of his five siblings and mother, since his father passed away when he was 15.

In this book Lucy is pitted against Gabe for making changes to the business. Lucy throws herself into Gabe's world and business and tries to help with changes that will bring new and more people to the business. All of the brothers are set on not making a change, so will Lucy be able to convince them to make a few changes to save the business they care for so much?

I loved watching Gabe and Lucy battle out their differences at every turn, all while working toward a happily ever after. The cast of side characters of the Wilder brothers and sister are also fun to read about, and I look forward to the series following all the members of this family!

The book had a wonderful level of humor and a perfect level of steam, making it quite enjoyable. If you like an enemy to lovers story, with a side of family and outdoor adventures thrown in, this is the book for you! I highly recommend!

I received a copy of this from NetGalley and the publisher for an open and honest review. All opinions are 100% mine.

This book focuses on Gabe Wilder and Lucy. Lucy who is a marketing specialist consults for Wilder adventures to help them expand to women.

The book was well written and flowed well. The pacing was good and the secondary characters interesting.

I can't wait to read about Brody and Rachel.

Make Me Wilder is a great light, summer read with the perfect amount of steam and wit.

This contemporary romance is a complete opposites attract. Lucy is a ‘city girl’ hired to help the Wilder business. Gabe is the opposite, naturally, as the Wilder’s own an outdoor adventure business. As the two get to know each other better, walls begin to break and feelings start.

I really enjoyed the character development from both of the main characters. Lucy is cast as a city girl that won’t be able to handle the wilderness. Lucy surprises Gabe when she shows her resilience and takes her adventure in stride and with wit. Gabe is closed off to the idea of any type of romance to a city girl but soon learns that she is much more than that and he may have misjudged.

Make Me Wilder is a quick read and has wonderful pacing. The story has the perfect amount of tension and wit that kept me from putting it down. It is a dual perspective which I enjoy. It is also the first in the Wilder Adventures and I can only hope that we get to see more of the Wilder family brothers. I would recommend this to any contemporary romance reader.

I don't read a lot of contemporary romance novels but this one sounded promising. Lucy and Gabe are quite interesting characters and the rest are just begging for their stories. Overall I enjoyed this book, although the sex scenes are pretty graphic. I still look forward to reading more from this author. I received an e-book from NetGalley in return for an unbiased review.

Neither Lucy nor Gabe are interested in any sort of relationship. It doesn't help that Lucy is a real "city girl" and Gabe is mot definitely not. She's been hired as a consultant by Gabe's mother to help bring their company, Wilder Adventures, more up-to-date and more accessible (that's not quite the word I was looking for but...) to more people, i.e. those who might not be experienced hikers/fishermen/wilderness types. All of the brothers -- there are 4 so there's hope for stories for all of these hunks! -- think this is a no-win situation, even though they agree something needs to be done.

This is a sexier Hallmark story -- fun, cute, exciting, sexy -- all working toward a great ending. I laughed, worried, sniffled, and ended up smiling and couldn't wait to download the bonus ending.

Thanks NetGalley for not making me wait, and thanks to the author for making my week brighter!

This was such a cute love story! Gabe and Lucy fit each other perfectly, and I totally adored the alpha in Gabe.
The ending was perfect. I wish there were more to the outings as Lucy got a feel for the Wilder business.

The minute I saw this book become available on NetGalley, I jumped at the chance to read and review it. I've enjoyed this author's writing style since first reading the Tierney Bay Series and the standalones, Sleepover, Do Over and Head Over Heels. I loved the blurb for this book and it was spot on -- Lucy is literally a fish out of water when it comes to roughing it in the wilderness but she is certainly a good sport about it! I loved her character's spunk and resilience. And who better to help her navigate the wilderness but a crazy, lovable family of wilderness experts led by Gabriel Wilder. Lucy may be the City Girl, but she can certainly hold her own. I love everything about the Wilder family and can't wait to read each of their individual stories. This read was everything I look for and enjoy in contemporary romance novels. It checked every box for me in the romance genre. I voluntarily read and reviewed an ARC for NetGalley.

A great read - opposites attract.

Lucy is in town to help with a marketing plan for a local buisness. She will be working with Gabe, but she doesn't realise that when she first meets him and agrees to meet him for drinks.

When Gabe finds out Lucy is to help with his family business, he is set against it, but as he starts to spend more time with her he realises he was wrong about many things. But when it is time for Lucy to leave, will he tell her how he feels?

Looking forward to the rest of the series.

The first in a series that I have high hopes for if this are like this book.

Oh my, what a mix of Hallmark vibes, with a strong female character, and hilarious situations that aren't far fetched. I loved the dual point of views of Lucy and Gabe, along with the world building that happens in the story. The Wilder family is a made up of four brothers who run a outdoorsy vacation getaways in a town that is now more spa's and weddings. You get to know a little bit about people who live/ run businesses in town that adds to the story instead of taking away. That you get a little bit of one on one time with Lucy and each brother makes it even better knowing that each brother will get their own book. If you are looking for a fun light summer read, this is a great book for you.

Wow! There aren't words to describe how this book made me feel. Lucy and Gabe are both closed off to relationships for their own reasons, but they can't deny their attraction to each other! The scenery of the Pacific Northwest and the excursions that take place really drew me in. The chemistry was also off the charts in this book! I liked the side characters and hope there are more stories detailing what is next for the other Wilder brothers. Hopefully it's more Wilder Romantic adventures!

Thanks to NetGalley for the ARC of this book. My review has been posted to Goodreads on 4/28. This book will be published on 5/20!

This book was the perfect palate cleanser after a few "heavy" reads. Gabe's family business Wilder Adventures is in trouble... times have changed and they need to appeal to a wider demographic. Against his wishes, Gabe's mother hires Lucy as a consultant to help market Wilder Adventures and expand their business. Lucy is a city girl through and through and Gabe is the opposite in every way. Classic opposites attract storyline - and I loved it! It was funny and witty with just the right amount of tension and romance thrown in! An excellent start to a fun series that I will definitely continue reading!

**Thank you to NetGalley, the author, and Author Collective 20 for an early look at this book in exchange for an honest review**
This was the first entry in the Wilder Adventures Series. The Wilder family runs an outdoor adventure company and the business is in trouble. Times have changed and they have been too stubborn to change with them. Lucy has been hired as a consultant to come up with a new business plan. Gabe is not pleased that his mother has brought her in. Lucy is a city girl. Gabe is the complete opposite. Sparks fly anyway. This is a great beginning for this series and I look forward to seeing the Wilder family again. It will publish May 20, 2021.
