Hello new series. I love the friendships that are central to this book (and I'm guessing the following books to come). Creative, girl with secrets who's life is a mess, freshly out of a horrible relationship literally runs into Mr. Right who happens to be mega rich and surprisingly single. He needs someone to pretend to be his fiancee and she needs help advancing her career. Of course there is chemistry and secretly a love match. Nothing earth shattering or new, but it is cute and was a quick fun read. Plus it takes place during Christmas. A little Love Actually, a little You've Got Mail.

"Will you marry me?" Not again. "Absolutely not."

And so begins Georgia Toffolo's Meet Me in London, a romance featuring Oliver Russell, CEO of a European department store chain, and Victoria Scott, a bartender with dreams of opening her own haberdashery. Set in London's Royal Borough of Kensington & Chelsea, this is a sweet story that highlights the joys - and sorrows - of love and life in London. While the book combines many of the tiresome tropes of a fanfiction romance (including a meet-cute, a case of mistaken identity, and fake/pretend relationship), the combination somehow works to create a feel-good, uplifting, holiday read.

This book was sent to me on Kindle by Netgalley for review. The protagonist is working a job she doesn’t love while she fashions designs. She meets a nice man and they become friends. He owns his own business, and his mom is pressuring him to get married. Career girl meets man who seems to be avoiding commitment. This is a cozy sweet story.

Sweet and escapist - the perfect holiday read. A recommended purchase for collections where contemporary romance and light WF is popular.

I adored this warm and funny novel which explores the budding relationship between two appealing characters. It combines a romantic and refreshing London setting with authentic character development and a believable plot. Perfect for fans of Sarah Morgan and Mhairi McFarlane.
